Default Stuck in the 180's

I'm so frustrated and need to vent. I'm stuck at 186.5, and the entire time I've been in the 180's has been a fight for every ounce of weight loss. I've been doing everything right that I know to do. I've even tried switching up the foods I eat and the exercise that I do, but still within my diet and exercise plan. But, still nothing happens. I'm so frustrated because I feel like I'm working so hard and doing everything right but not getting the results I deserve. I've come a long way. I've lost 98.5 pounds so far, and have 36 left to lose. I'm so close to that 100 mark, but keep getting denied. I know that it is supposed to get harder as I go, but I feel that it shouldn't be this hard. Any tips/support would be appreciated. Thanks!

First of all losing 98.5 lbs is incredible. Don't let your current frustrations over shadow what you've done thus far. Really amazing job. Well done.

Here is what I suggest. Take a break. Practice maintaining for a short period. 1 week, two weeks, or whatever.

Maintinence is just as if not harder than losing weight so this might not be a bad time to get a little practice in.

Great article I highly suggest you read.

Thank you so much for the very interesting article, John. I really appreciated it. I shared it with my sister too. I've gotten back on track now, and I have lost 107 pounds!

AliMarie congrats!! Great accomplishment!

I need to read that article. I seem to get stuck at every decade, especially the closer I get to goal. I'm happy to be keeping off what I got off and getting fitter and stronger. I practice maintenance a lot, I'm being very patient with myself and feel like I've really changed my lifestyle.

Best of luck for continued success

Glad you bumped this thread up, that was a great article for me to read. I'm ready to add some rules to my practice maintenance sessions to make them work better for me. Just what I needed, I knew I needed a little tweak. Thanks!

Thank you, kelijpa! Brandis, thank you so much. I actually did not read the article that John sent until a few days ago, but I do think it is very helpful and will keep it in my mind for the future when I run into this problem again, because I know I will. I have found having a "splurge day" once every three weeks or so has helped me. I also added yoga to my workout routine three days a week, and that has seemed to really help. All in all, just switching things up a little bit so that my body doesn't get too comfortable.
