Default Frustration ^1000

Alright so I was doing OK...lost 25 lbs in 3 months and was feeling on top of the wold, most of the motivation at that point came from the plan that me and my ex where getting married and I've always dreamed of a beautiful wedding dress..well that relationship is now over, didn't end in bad terms but still the motivation I had is gone, vanished...poof!. Recently I got a new position at work which I love but is severely stressing me out mainly because I believe that my career is all I have right now. I am trying to get back into loosing weight watching the scale go up just makes me hate me more. I have gained 6 of the 25 lbs in 2 months! Stress makes me eat all source of crazy items and the new position at work its been so stressful today I had a full blown melt down, one of those cry so hard you cant breath moments that almost became an anxiety attack. I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in over a month and although it felt good I did 30 mins on the elliptical and was almost dead. I seriously want to get back into the mood but I'm lacking motivation or support. Most of my friends are ALWAYS having get together which mainly means drink excessive amounts of alcohol while chowing down snacks (chips+fried stuff) then I have plans for every weekend from now until November 16 which means more pot lucks, wine tastings, concerts which really help my mood but not my waistline. I just booked a cruise for my bday and I would love to at least loose 30 pounds by then, the cruise is Feb 7 which is 106 days away. Sorry for the long probably not very cohesive post but I really needed to write my thoughts somewhere before loosing it, hopefully I can get back on track and some of the inspiring stories in here will help me.

*hugs*

I hear ya!

Ok my brutal honest advice time.

You need to just put your mind to it and do it. You know how you already did it. Your motivation is within you!

There are always going to be Plans and parties. Have a drink and then water, put a serving of chips on the plate and walk away from the bowl.

You got this! 30lbs is doable by February, but it's not going to do it by itself!

Totally have this.

Sorry you've been going through such a rough time. But, the good news is you've identified a) the stressors in your life, b) why you've gained some weight back, and c) some potential stumbling blocks coming up (parties/get togethers). I think that means a lot. Now what you've got to do is come up with a plan...you are not helpless, and no one is force feeding you. You CAN do this, and think of how proud and in control you will feel when stick to your goals.

Parties, concerts, etc are a part of life, and if you're going to truly gain control of your weight, you have to learn how to deal with them. There are lots of strategies you can use, such as eating beforehand, bringing healthy options to a pot luck, etc. If you've lost 30lbs, I'm sure you know them. It's time to change your mindset to "This is going to be hard, I hope I can do this" to "this is hard, and this is my plan to deal with it".

I think you have another motivator...your cruise! How fun!
We just went on a cruise to Alaska beginning of August. Back in May I had had enough of being so overweight. The thought of having to buy all new clothes made me sick! I decided right then that I would loose the weight. In fact I even lost weight on the cruise because of all the walking we did. I did eat and drink but tried to be conscientious of it and chose wisely.
Have a wonderful trip!
You have been doing a great job so far....keep right at!

Thanks for all the support it really means a lot to me!

Today it was a good day, I went over my calorie limit but not by a lot and ate mainly healthy.

I also went to beginner spinning and survived! Tomorrow got the first challenge corporate party so will see how it goes. 105 days until my cruise so I don't have much time!
