Both my fasting glucose and A1c blood tests over the past two years have been dead nuts on normal. Yet, I think there is still something going on. Tonight, I leased a new car. (I love, love, love my new car, by the way.) The leasing process took a little over 3 hours and I missed my normal dinner time by about 2 hours. In addition, I missed my 3 pm afternoon snack at work because I was in a meeting up until time to leave.
By the time I got home and had something to eat, I had a case of the sweaty shakes. Now, some 2 hours later, I've got that hypoglycemic triggered headache, I'm so sleepy and I can barely keep my eyes open and I've got a minor case of heart thumpies.
I'm wondering now if I'm still insulin resistant but I'm just controlling it through diet. I generally eat 3 meals plus 2 fruit snacks, one vegetable snack and 2 dark chocolate squares spaced out through out the day so I'm not really going more than a couple of hours without eating something. Usually, the last thing I eat is my chocolate at around 8 pm. I'm not shaky when I get up in the morning but I am hungry and I generally break my fast within a half hour of getting up.
I dunno. Maybe it was just getting the car but blast if I really don't feel good right now.
