Having difficulty getting my water in today...

  • So normally drinking my required 60-80 ounces of water daily is no problem.

Yesterday was SO HOT (108 degrees) that I stopped counting when I was at 120 ounces early evening. Today I can't seem to finish 12 ounces ...

    Did I over-hydrate? It isn't that I just don't want water - I don't want to drink anything.

Who says it's required? As long as you have a normal thirst response, I see no reason to force yourself to drink. I drink no plain water at all (just coffee and tea and occasionally some juice or flavoured soda water) and only drink when I'm thirsty, and it hasn't led to dehydration or interfered with my weight loss.

  • I like water and it is hot where I live, so I drink quite a bit, but I don't think you need to force yourself to drink water. I know a lot of folks on here swear by drinking many ounces of water, but it is way more important to stay on your eating plan than to drink 80 oz of water. IMHO.
