Where is everybody? I am bored.

I ate 2 fat free ice cream cones last night. OUCH!! I have to be good this week because my neices birthday party is this Saturday and Jay wants to go to Pizza Hut for his birthday too. I dont want to be bloated up for that.

Today I will be a good girl even if I am eating supper out. Maybe Subway or maybe a KFC Tenderroast sandwich without sauce and a mashed potato. I have thought ahead so I should be able to stick to lowfat while I finish up my shopping.

Kempyd 06-09-2003 10:19 AM

   ok sorry about the whole pot plant thing. That is my lazy southern thing coming out. It should have been potted plants but we say pot plants b/c we are to lzay to finish it. Kind of like the whole po'boy thing.

Angie I hope you get some sort of response from your letter. Are you going to talk with the health inspector too? I love smores we usually have them every year when we go to the camp for Thanksgiving. I could eat tons of them but I try to contain myself.

Emily I am so scared of when our tv eats it. We have a 55 inch right now and like you said you have to go bigger. I think you will do fine with the food. You just have to take everything slow. At least I know that I have to do it that with me.

I will check back in later when you guys have shown up.

angieME 06-09-2003 11:22 AM

I am having me,mom, dad and the twins birthday on June 28 which is my dads actual birthday. He turns 50!! I didnt realize it until I was in the shower this morning. So now I am off to find some over the hill stuff to surprise him with. hehe. I'll have to utilise my morning walk that morning and go get all the black balloons at the flower shop. Can you see me out walking around town with tons of black balloons. I am going to this awesome cake shop in Bangor tonight to try and pick out a good cake for him. Then I will have MIL make the ice cream cake for the twins. Know of any good over the hill party food? any ideas would be great. This weekend is Haley(my neice) birthday and my parents anniversary.

peekabooangel 06-09-2003 11:41 AM

I'm here just really busy at work, but the boss left for a bit, so~~~ I could not control myself and had to pop online and come check things out.

Kempy: Don't be sorry.....I had a good chuckle...

Angie: 50th bday party....fun, fun....my mil gave my fil a box full of goodies like depends, preperation H, prunes and prune juice, so of those cheap magnifying glasses.....vitamins...etc...just have fun with it you know:lol:  good luck.

Okay back to work...

jelynn 06-09-2003 11:50 AM

Angie- I hear you on the birthday thing-- you've got more though! Mine is Wed. and my oldest's next Wed.-- with Father's Day inbetween. Too many treats (and not enough will-power on my part!) I've been craving a white store-bought cake with bavarian creme filling since March!! How gross is that?! DH will want cheesecake for his "special meal" (like I got one for Mother's Day- HA!) and my son an ice-cream cake... demons demons
How do you do it, Angie- being a baker?? I love to bake (and eat what I bake!) llast night it was rhubarb crisp. I know I just need to give some stuff up for awhile- at least until I can control my portions...

Well, I thought I would report my goals for the day and then report on them later...
Water!- at least 60 oz (baby steps!) I've already had 20
Workout- 1 mile WAATP video- too chilly to walk with the kids and that wouldn't really be a fitness walk anyway!
No fast food today!

Well, that's 3 and good for a start.
Have a great day everyone and I'll check back later.

Emily

Kempyd 06-09-2003 01:37 PM

Angie I like what Sandy said about the gag gifts. Those would be great. We are goiing to have a crawfish boil at our house for my birthday. I han't had a party since I was 9. I figured it was time to do it again.

Sandy when does all of the hub bub calm down over there. You sound so busy!

Emily I think you are doing great by taking baby steps. When you are trying to change your life that is what you have to do. Plus, if you try to aim to high it is easier to fall off of the wagon and never get back on.

I have been pretty busy here today. We got in two big orders and I have been busy trying to seperate them and get them in the computer and onto the shelves. I think I might leave the stocking for the girls tonight. I am just sitting herer right now letting my lunch digest. My plan is to workout at 2 today, lets see if the boss man screws it up today.

Kempyd 06-09-2003 05:27 PM

Alright guys, did you leave me? It is 4:30 here and I am trying to waste some time reading posts while I wait for the evening girls to get here. I was hoping that there would have been more going on on this thread.

Anyway, I forgot to tell you guys that they are filming a movie right down the street from me. It is wild how they changed up the entire street. One side is supposed to be Seattle and the other in Atlanta. Pretty neat how they can come in and do these dramatic changes and then pull it all down and have it look like nothing ever happened.

peekabooangel 06-09-2003 05:59 PM

Hey Kempy, hope it's almost time for you to leave? I don't know if work will ever calm down? Who knows? I'm just along for the ride:lol: , it does make the day go by fast though.

Wow, a movie and the street looks different, that would be so neat to see. They had the Maine State quarter ceremony here today, I live like 15-20 minutes from where they did it, but kept clear, I can only imagine how busy it was.

Emily: Baby steps, thats the way to go, I try to remind myself of that too. No fast food, I got that licked, now if I could lick the no sweets/chips.

jelynn 06-10-2003 12:17 AM

I did it!

Happy to report all goals met!! :D
Got my water in, no problemo~
no fast food
and a 15 minute walk! Have to tell you, this almost didn't happen...never had a chance to do the video, had a very busy day and baby wanted held...soccer, work stuff I had to get done.
Well, at 9:30 I told my husband I was going for a walk and DID IT! Now, if I hadn't made it a goal and told you guys I was doing it...I wouldn't have bothered. I'm so glad I did though!

Whoo-hoo for me :)
Well, it's late and time for bed.
Talk to you all tomorrow:)

Emily

angieME 06-10-2003 08:11 AM

Hi everyone! Way to go Emily!! You are doing great!

Emily, The bakery isnt really my problem. While I am working I dont really have time to eat too much and at night the food is "all the way out there" so I dont bother with it. My problem is chinese and just fatty foods.

This week I have been overeating my BB fat free yogurt. It is bugging me because I have that party this weekend and I cant stop eating that stuff!!! My goal for Today is to be good. I have a problem where the smaller I am the more I think I can get away with overeating and I do NOT want to gain this weight back!!

Kempy, a movie sounds so neat. I would like to see something like that.

Sandy, I like the gag gift idea. I will have to go to Greenville tonight with Jay. Indian Hill Trading Post has over the hill stuff.

Noelle, Where are ya girl? If ya fell off the wagon get back up and come join us. I am being bad so come help me!!

Neesh, Did you get everything packed up this weekend?

peekabooangel 06-10-2003 08:29 AM

Hey Angie, I've been to that Indian Hill Trading post, when hubby and I went up to Greenville for an anniversary get a way. We did a lot o the shops in Greenville too. And we went on that boat ride.....the big boat katahdin.....NEVER AGAIN. I was so bored and you are on it for 3 hours. We also went on a little charter boat out in the bogs and preserve and stuff looking for Moose but never saw one. OH well. Today the weather man said it was gonna be warm? Not yet? well, acutally the thermometer says 69 but the wind is blowing and he said it would not be? Weather men never seem to get it right lately?

Tuesday is now my offical Weigh in day, and the verdict is, I have lost 4.5 lbs this week, that will give my *** the push it needs to keep me in line for a while and keep me riding on the wagon seat.

Kempy: Tell us more about the movie?

Noelle: Where are you?

Emily: Good job on your goals.

Jen: Hi there.

Talk to you all later,
Sandy

Kempyd 06-10-2003 10:40 AM

Good Tuesday Morning to you all!

Angie I have never heard of that trading post place, it must only be up north.

Neesh how did the move go?

Noelle are you deserting us for the 10 days your cousin is in?

Emily how is it going today? What are your goals for today?

I have no idea what is really going on with the movie. I brought my camera to work today so that Ican take some pictures. I told my in-laws about it and we are going to go to dinner tomorrow night and then take a walk down town to see it all. I am hoping that we see Jamie Foxx. That would be pretty cool!

I am doing ok today just a little bloated. It is TOM right now and my ring is killing me. I usually don't bloat this bad but this is a real pain in my butt.

jelynn 06-10-2003 11:02 AM

Good morning all :)
I've already had a big glass of water this morning instead of reaching for a can of diet coke first thing and other goals will be the same...no fast food and a walk, even if it's just 15 minutes.
Funny thing...this morning DH was all, "I went for a jog this morning!" I didn't even hear him get up. So he says to me "you are motivating me! You aren't going to be the only skinny minnie in this house" I told him it would probably take me 2 years to get "skinny" and by then we'll probably want another baby...But I'm glad I'm motivating him! :)

Angie- I love chinese (and mexican!!) and the fatty foods too...guess it's all about enoying things in moderation.

Sandy- awesome loss this week!

Kempy- the movie set sounds pretty cool-- hope you get to run into some staaars.
Hi to everyone else!

DH is taking today off (my b-day is tomorrow and he can't tomorrow) so hopefully we can lose the kids and do something fun

Later!

Kempyd 06-10-2003 11:22 AM

Well Happy Early Birthday!!! :gift: I hope you guys have a great day!

It kills me when I motivate my hubby. He can just think about working out and lose weight. I on the other hand gain I think. It is like my body so. "i don't think so lady, I am going to hang on to this stuff just in case you need it later." Like I will ever need to extra layer of fat. I live in Louisiana for crying out loud. I don't need it to keep me warm.

angieME 06-10-2003 11:51 AM

Happy Birthday Emily!! I hope you have a great day.

Kempy, the movie sounds fun. Will you post pics for us?

Sandy, Greenville is so boring that I cant stand it. I wonder why so many people go up there for vacation. I would cry if I rolled into town for a week and that is what I saw. Usually there are moose everyday in the bog by the D.O.T. garage on the road up there.

I planted my flower box out back today. Now to go get mulch for it. I put in spirea, hostas,Blanket flower, daylillies and a Rodedendron(sp) plus lots of flowering plants. Gotta get the yard prettied up for the party.

chikitababe 06-10-2003 12:11 PM

Hi everyone!! I have only posted a few times here, mostly for lack of motivation and will power. I am 26, married, mother of three small children (3, almost 2 and 6 1/2), and work almost full time.

I was 180 in August of 2001 (day I delivered my youngest), and am now stuck at 155. I was 143 before having children (due to the freshman in college gain of 10 pounds). My biggest challenge is junk food, sweets mainly. I have great difficulty going 1 day without some sort of chocolate, sweet, etc. However, today is day 2 without any sort of junk food. I have been trying to eat well, breakfeast of oatmeal and a banana, luch of yogurt and a cereal bar, and dinner last night was spaghetti and meatballs. One snack of a triscuit with cheese and 1 graham cracker with peanut butter, another of a Nutri Grain cereal bar. I have a hard time controlling what I eat. I suffered from bulimia from the age of 13 to almost 24, so dieting and eating healthy is a life change I am trying to accomplish.

My husband is another challenge for me!! He is 6'2 and weighs 230, so he thinks I am skinny, ha. He has bad habits of eating butter popcorn or chips late at night before bed, and always offers some to me. He is also hungry all of the time, lives to eat, rather than eating to live.

Sorry to ramble so. Hope you are all doing well.

Holly

Kempyd 06-10-2003 12:28 PM

Hi Holly  I am glad that you joined us. I really love it here and we are always welcome to new people joining.

I don't have any kids but I think most of the other girls here do so they may be able to help you in that department.

I do have a husband though so I know it can be tough when you are trying to make a change and they aren't in it with you. It didn't sound like you past few meals were all that bad. I have learned that I have to take it one day at a time just to get by. Angie and I have been eating Blue Bunny FF Ice cream or yougurt and I found that it has really helped me with my sweet tooth. I have a major one by the way. If I could survive, I would live off of candy.

Feel free to chime on in whenever you feel like it. As you can see we talk about everything. We have become a group of good friends!

angieME 06-11-2003 08:21 AM

Hi Holly! Junk food and sweets are a biggie here too. I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter.

Kempy, I would live off candy and junk food too. I know when I am off my diet I usually eat cookies or cakes for breakfast and snack on junk the rest of the day. That is so hard to break.

I got up early and walked Rebel by myself this morning. I was supposed to get up at 6:30 but Jay didnt set the alarm when he got back from delivering. I figured I had better get into the habit of doing it early before all the kids wake up and go play outside. I hate summer vacation.

I found some over the hill gifts for dad yesterday. One was a Dust cover: Designed to keep your weiner cleaner(due to lack of use) haha When I go to Bangor this weekend I am going to the party supply store to get some more stuff.

angieME 06-11-2003 08:36 AM

SANDY, GREAT WEIGHTLOSS THIS WEEK!!!! I have no idea how I managed to write that in in my entries!!! I dont want you to think I didnt notice how great you are doing! WOOHOO!!!!!:strong: :bravo: :cp: :hat: :dancer: :cloud9: :high: :balloons:

Kempyd 06-11-2003 10:25 AM

Good morning all! It is a wonderfully rainy day here in the south. It actually looks like it is about 8:30 at night. I wonder if I could convince the boss tha it is so I can go home.

I was almost bad yesterday after work. Joe was out of town and I felt the old compulisive eater in me trying to break free. It was terrible. I was trying to tell myself that I neede to eat Wendy's since he wasn't home and since there was nothing to eat in the house. I drove myself homw and I wouldn't let myself leave. I was able to pull some leftovers together to have a nice dinner and I am sure that it was much better than eating Wendy's. I know there are good things there but once I got there I knew I would have ordered a burger and fries and that wouldn't have been good.

A couple of the people that are working on the movie came in to workout this morning since they really can't do much right now with the rain. They are going to start filming at 11 so I am there. I found out that one of the actors is the guys form Nerds, Booger. I told tham that I want to meet him so maybe they will send him over. They said that even though it is raining they have to do a scene later on where they make it rain. That will be something to see.

How is everything in your parts of the world?

angieME 06-11-2003 11:31 AM

I like Booger!! That is so neat. I hope he comes in to meet ya. Maybe Jamie Foxx will come in and workout. YEAH!

Congrats on resisting Wendys. I stuck with one cone last night too. It seems like the more I think about wanting to look good for the party this weekend the more I want to over eat. It is sad that I would screw myself up.

Kempyd 06-11-2003 11:46 AM

I think some of it comes from TOM too. I havn't started yet but I am expecting it today or tomorrow. That never helps when I am trying to eat good. (as we all know).

chikitababe 06-11-2003 01:13 PM

Thanks for the welcome! I have resisted junk for three days now. It is really hard! It is almost my TOM as well, so chocolate and peanutbutter are my best friends, lol. I did have 1/2 cup of strawberry pudding last night, but, made it with 1 % milk, so almost no fat.

Angie,

What a GREAT weight loss! I should be ashamed of myself that I cannot keep the will power to lose 25 pounds :( .

Last night my husband brought home chocolate filled chocolate chip pastries, but, surprisingly, I resisted the temptation. Well, I have to admit to one bite, but, then gave the rest to my oldest son.

I have difficulty exercising because of bad knees. But, recently I have been trying to walk in my living room while watching my taped episodes of Y&R. That gives me about a 35 to 40 minute walk.

I am trying to keep telling myself I can do this, and it WILL be worth it!

Holly

angieME 06-11-2003 03:11 PM

Holly, You can do this and it will be worth it!!

I order a chocolate chip filled croissant pastry to sell to my accounts. I wonder if it is the same thing? If it is then you did great by only taking one bite. I do that to my kids when I make them for them too.

peekabooangel 06-11-2003 04:04 PM

Thanks Angie for the congrats.

The dust cover sounds like a really funny gag gift. Hope he has a good sence of humor.

Kempy: Good job on risisting Wendy's. The other day Alexis insisted we go to McDonalds, so finally I broke down, but I told her we had to go through the drive through so I could just order hers and go home and have my salad or a sandwich. Small Victories seem to add up over time. Last month when I was in my funk, I stopped at McDonalds and had a 1/4 pounder with cheese and fries and OMG it really wasnt that good, but I still ate it of course.

Emily: Happy Birthday to you, hope you enjoyed your day.

Holly: Way to go on the Strawberry pudding. You will get there!! Angie is an awesome inspiration isnt she. She is where I want to be someday.

Well girls, we have kindergarten family night again tonight so I gotta scoot on out and get the kids fed and all that happy stuff.

Chow for now,
Sandy

PS) Noelle??????? come back.

jelynn 06-11-2003 05:14 PM

:hb: Happy Birthday to me!!
Had a fun day yesterday- I mentioned DH took the day off. Well, a friend took my older 2 and we went and had a sushi snack and saw the movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" pretty cute show.

Doing well so far today...I'm going to enjoy my cake and chunky monkey ice-cream and move on...fresh start tomorrow (not next Monday!!)

Kempy- good job resisting Wendy's! I know how hard that is- especially when you are alone and have no-one to "report to" but yourself!

Holly- ditto to you on the croissant. I've never had one of those choc. chip ones-- sounds like I'd better introduce myself to them!

Sandy- ditto to you on McDs! (aren't we all resistors this week!!) Fast food is a weakness of mine, but I'm getting better!

Hi to Angie and Noelle! (and anyone else!)
check in later

Emily

chikitababe 06-12-2003 07:51 AM

Emily,

The crossaints are great! One bite had to be enough for me though. Happy belated birthday, enjoy your cake and ice cream, I hope you ate a piece for all of us!!

My doc put me on 5 days of prednisone yesterday, and I am STARVING today. I am hoping that my oatmeal will help.

How is the weather where you ladies are? It really stinks here in New York State. All we keep getting is rain, rain, rain. The temperature is finally hovering in the lower 70's, but just feels like I a wet sticky ick. I am beginning to think summer is going to forget us this year.

This probably sounds crazy, but I got up this morning at 5 am to do my aerobics because it has been soooo hot at night when I have been walking.

Yesterday I did something I never thought I could. I was at work from 7 am until 3, then had a dr.'s appt at 4. By the time I got to the pharmacy at 5 pm, I was really really hungry. So, while waiting for my med, I went over to the snack aisle. I saw all sorts of yummy foods (chips, peanuts, candy, cheesecrackers), but, I passed them all by, and ended up buying cheddar soy chips which had 3 grams of fat and 140 calories for the whole bag, and only ate half. Surprisingly, it was enough until dinner when I got home.

Eating right and exercising is such a challenge, but I have decided to give it my best shot. It is hard for me to eliminate all sweets, but, I have found that if I cheat for one day, I am rarely able to get back on track the next day, or the day after that.

Holly

angieME 06-12-2003 08:26 AM

Holly you sound like me. In the beginning I wouldnt allow myself to mess up at all because I just had such a hard time getting back on track. Now I mess up quite a bit but if I do make myself get on track it seems to be okay. This week has been a snacky week so I am not expecting a loss.

Maine's weather sucks too. I usually have been in the pool before school gets out but the kids got out on Tuesday and I only went in the pool one day. I wouldnt even think about it now. I want hot weather so bad.

I got up early too today. We must be on the same wavelength. I got up at 5:30 and did 3 miles and then I will con the kids into walking with me later if Jay wants to go 4wheeling.

Noelle, I MISS YOU!!!! I hope you are having a great week.

Sandy, How are you doing?

Kempy, Did Booger ever come in to meet you?

Emily, I am glad you had a great birthday.

peekabooangel 06-12-2003 08:47 AM

I'm good, still hanging in there with all my might. Hahaha, acutally I had a bit of a problem with a bag of chips, but that was my own fault, I think it's PMS time and the salt was what I wanted?

I'm at work now, and if I could just stay here all would be great, cause the only thing here to eat is my WW meal....and water.

Angie: Great job on 3 miles already...you impress me. I know what you mean about the weather, it just plain sucks. Is summer ever gonna get here?

Hi, Kempy, Emily, Noelle, Jen and did I miss someone? Yup, I missed Holly (hello to you too!:) )

TTYL,
Sandy

Kempyd 06-12-2003 11:27 AM

Hang on Sandy!!!! I just started so I am now free of the cravings again. Whew! I am sending period thoughts your way to help stop your cravings. :vibe:

Can you say to many drinks for Kempy last night? We hung out on the set of the movie last night after we hit the mexican rest. I was good with food (ceasar salad with dressing on the side) but I had a few maragrits and then a few beers too. Bad Kempy!!!

We have a big storm heading or way right now. I wish I was home right now. Not only so I could sleep more but also I love to be there when it is raining. Really relaxing.

I didn't get to meat Jamie FOxx or Booger but I did get my picture taken with the guy who played Willow. Really nice guy. Come to find out he was also the guy who played R2D2 in Star Wars. When I get the pics developed I will scan then and post them so you guys can see. All in all it was a cool night. I am sure it isn't something that I will ever do again.

melekalikimaka 06-12-2003 02:49 PM

I'm baaaaaack

Hey girlies, I was AWOL for a few days...in a blue funk so I decided to take a couple of days off. I'm back and just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm going for a manicure and pedicure today so hopefully that'll make me feel a little better. I went to my friend's memorial service on Monday, that was a bit of closure but it's still a shock that she's gone :( . Her 2 cats were adopted by another friend that used to house-sit for her, so I know they're going to a good home--except that they have to move to the Big Island. Well, there's a heck of a lot of chatter here and I haven't had time to go back and read everything but first off, welcome to Holly  . Let me try and work backwards.

Kempy sounds like you had a cool night. AND you got to meet Warwick Davis--that is cool. I loved him in Willow. I didn't like him much as that creepy leprechaun in the Leprechaun movie, so I guess it was good acting. I remember Booger too--except I remember him more as the guy in Risky Business telling Tom Cruise, "Sometimes you just gotta say, WTF" --remember that?

Hey Sandy, good job on hanging on to that wagon. I'm still riding alongside ya, halfheartedly. You had a problem w/chips, well yesterday I had a problem w/Fiddle Faddle (blech) . It was so sweet, I don't know why I ate so much of it. I need to get out of this funk I'm in. I need to reassess and find something that'll shock me back into the groove--maybe I should just try my jeans on again, if they do fit, I'll be shocked  . Nah, I'm coming back into the groove, I just need to stay with it.

Angie so you're having a snacky week huh? Well I guess TOM is around the corner for you (I'm guessing) . You're doing so awesome though, I've always admired your willpower. If I could send you some rays I would, then you could enjoy your pool. It's so dang hot here!

Holly sounds like you're doing a great job on your exercise and food choices. I need to take a page from your book and convince myself that if I cheat, it'll only make it harder to get back on track, so why do it? I'm having a great day so far though :crossed: .

Emily, happy belated birthday, hope it was happy. How nice of your hubby to spend the day w/you and even more so that your friend took the kids. Sounds like a happy kind of day to "reconnect" .

Neesh what's happening in your neck of the woods?

I hope Jen is having a great vacation. Drive safe!

Hope I didn't miss anyone...hope everyone is having a great day. I'll check back later.

Oh yeah, I finally made my reservations and paid for my 4th of July weekend in Maui. Can't wait to get away!

melekalikimaka 06-12-2003 02:55 PM

a bit off subject, but...

Kempy, too bad you couldn't have met Val Kilmer, he was in the Willow movie too wasn't he? Although I don't really think he's a 'great' actor, he's sure great at being eye-candy--and calorie free too :T . Mmmmm, I was really into him during his Jim Morrison portrayal. Just thought I'd mention that

peekabooangel 06-12-2003 05:44 PM

Welcome back Noelle!!!! We missed you, but forgive you too.

Okay, I think your {{vibe}} thing is just a little to freaky Kempy, cause I went to the bathroom at work and you guess it, TOM arrived. So that explains the chip craving. I can't wait for this to be over though!!! Since I had my one tube cut and tied and the other removed, god, my periods are pure **** and heavy.....wish they had taken everything out and I would be done with it!!!

Being on the movie set sounds fun though. Funny how they can make your street look nothing like it really does. They filmed some of "Message in a Bottle" in New Harbor, Maine, which is like 10 minutes from here and a very fishing kind of town, but you would not know it by the scenes in the movie. the resturaunt they are at is actually named "Shaws Wharf" but in the movie it was something else. They changed a lot.

Well, gotta run I'm in the middle of cooking supper too.

chikitababe 06-12-2003 06:10 PM

This is so crazy!!! My TOM started this afternoon as well. I knew it was coming for the last two days, could feel it, etc. So, now it's 3 of us!?

I was looking at some pics of myself when I was 128 pounds, and think maybe I looked a little too thin. Maybe I should aim for 135? I will not step on the scale again until my TOM is over cause I know the weight will not be accurate. I am trying really hard to stay away from the junk food. I made some vanilla pudding tonight (again with 1% milk), and that will have to suffice as dessert, although a chewy fudge brownie sounds much better!!:^: Oh well.

Noelle,

Hi! I hope it is ok to ask, what happened to your friend who passed? It is so hard to lose someone close to us.

Holly

You guys better not make TOM come back sooner than absolutely necessary!! With nursing I'm hoping to make it *at least* to 6 months-- hopefully more...

Well, I am absolutely exhausted today! Stayed up til 1am which is always dumb for me 'cuz then I'm grouchy with the kids which is never good. It was good that I got some cleaning done since I've been running around non-stop today, but  I'm tired!

Went and had some pictures taken of the 3 boys- just a friend who does some nice amateur photograpy. Did them outside down at the river bottom. Whew! That was exhausting in and of itself. Can you imagine taking pictures of kids for a living *all* day?! It was really hard with 3- either the middle one wasn't smiling (or even looking at the camera) or the baby was flopping all over. I hope we at least got a couple good ones out of 2 rolls!

Noelle- glad to see you back and sorry about your friend. I so hear you about the fiddle faddle! It can be so addicting and not even taste that great!

Holly- I think your idea of low-fat pudding is great- it's kind of a comfort food and a nice sweet dessert w/out all the guilt...

Our weather was actually beautiful today! IT's been on the cool side for several days and we've had rain, but today was perfect- of not a little too warm. I just got back from the park with the boys- walked and it took *forever*- only got my heart rate up from being annoyed (ie. lack of sleep and dilly dallying boys...). Haven't been so great on the food today (also from being tired) stopped and 7-11 for a soda and treated myself to a candy bar. DUMB. Like I didn't have enough sugar with my cake (which I also had for lunch today) I'll be better tomorrow and why not- even for the rest of today!!

Well, it's almost time for swimming lessons for my oldest (will this day ever end??) Better run. Hi to Angie, Sandy, Neesha - are you moved?
Talk to you later

Good afternoon!! Has anyone ever tried Texas Barbeque? We have a place in Monson that has it and I have been watching the Food Network(BAD IDEA!!) all week and all they have shown is BBQ. I want to try it so bad!!

My period isnt due until the 28th. Right on my birthday party of course. We usually do a pool party too.

I did 6 miles today. YEAH for me!! I better get it in because Saturday I am sure I am going to be bloated from Jays Pizza Hut and Haleys birthday party. Lets put it this way. I wont be being good .

Jelynn,

The pudding is the only dessert I could think of that would satisfy my sweet tooth without the fat and starch. I hope I can still lose weight, even while eating the pudding. I need a little sweet in my diet! :)

Angie,

6 miles is great!! I exercised twice today, once at 5 am (Denise Austin's Bounce Back After Baby, even though my baby is almost 2), and again at 7 pm (Kathy Smith's Time Saver Cardio Workout). My husband thinks I am crazy!! He sits on the couch reading, and says, that doesn't look like fun, lol.

Never tried Texas BBQ. My husband and I are going to a clam bake this Saturday where I am sure they will have some sort of chicken BBQ. I am not really worried because I have done pretty good resisting sweets this week, so, I guess a BBQ should be ok.

Unfortunately, my TOM always comes on my birthday, usually the exact day, December 11, so I can sympathize for the birthday blahs. I hope you can still enjoy your pool party!

Yup, that's right...

this must be the TOM thread  . Sorry guys, but mine started on Monday...even though I wasn't around here maybe I was sending the vibes? Luckily it's almost over and done with. I'm only averaging 22 days in between from the start of one to the start of the next--what's up w/that??? Sucks big time.

Anyway, just got back from my nail appointment and I feel a little better. The salon I go to has a transsexual hair stylist. Today "she" had a client who was getting highlights put in--this client hasn't had "the operation" yet. It was a bit scary to look at, but quite amusing to listen to during the 1.5 hours I was there. It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round though huh?

Holly, my friend passed away a week ago Sunday. She was in Florida for a convention and choked on some food during dinner. I don't know the exact specifics but only know that when the paramedics came, they couldn't revive her. Very sudden and very sad.

Emily I'm sure your pictures will be beautiful. I know all about photo subjects not being in-sync with one another. Our entire immediate family 23+ took some pics at a local park a couple of months ago. Let's just say it took a while.

Angie, don't know exactly what "Texas" BBQ is (as the definition varies by region) but I'm sure if we had it here I'd eat it :ink: .

Morning Chicks,
Yesterday was so beautiful out and today they say it will only be in the 60's. RRRRRRRRR, and then we are due for rain yet again. I think Summer is missing Maine? I know we kinda missed Spring....

Food is okay still, few slips but nothing to hurt me I don't think. I am trying to be very very concious of all that I eat.

Your July 4th get a way sound fun Noelle hope you have a blast.

Don't know about the Texas BBQ Angie? Sounds yummy though, I love all BBQ stuff. We have a local resturaunt that does a BBQ sampler for 2, Hubby and I ordered it one day, and OMG it was so good. It had, BBQ~~pork, chix, beef and coleslaw and beans. That same rest. makes a great BBQ pork sandwich on this huge bulky roll, you can only eat like 1/2 or little more.

Angie: For an easy and excellent meal with BBQ, I sometimes take either pork, chix or beef throw it in the crockpot with a bottle of BBQ sauce (flavor/brand of your choice) and let it cook for like 1/2 the day or more and OMG it is so good and sooooooooo easy.

Hello to everyone, hope your day starts good,
Sandy

Good Morning!!

Holly, The clam bake sounds fun. My moms best friend used to do a pool party and lobster/clam bake every summer. Those were so much fun.

Noelle, I am glad to see you back. I missed you. I'll bet your nail appointment was interesting. I am glad you are feeling better.

Sandy, The platter sounds yummy. I love the BBQ shows on tv. When they show the meat just falling apart My mouth waters. I might grab a BBQ chicken sandwich from there tonight for supper so I dont have to cook.

Well, I had better go do my books up for tonight so I dont fall behind. FUN!FUN!
