Hi Summerlover! When does school get out where you are? My kids got out last week. Now it is nonstop bickering. I have had my gallbladder out too. Do you still get the attacks? I was told by so many people who had theirs out that they still have the painful episodes.(this was while I was still in the hospital after surgery) That made me feel good. hehe

This is a great group of girls and we all try to help each other the best we can. You will like it here.

Congrats on losing 31 pounds so far.

Hey ladies!! Just checking in to say hi to all of you. I am still VERY VERY ill, so my exercise is shot, but, I am not hungry either, so at least my diet isn't blown. I am home from work today, and am going to check out and rest for a while. Hope everyone is well.

Holly

Hi Summer! I hope you love it here as much as I do!

Holly I hope you feel beter!

I got my walk in with Echo last night. She keep getting in front of me and stopping. That is not a good way to keep up a pace. I am sur it was funny looking to my neighbors.

I am going to pick up Joe from the airport tonight :cp: I guess I will be able to see him for a few hyours until he leaves to go out of town again. augh! I am ready for him to stop going out of town so much!

What is happening with you chickys today?

melekalikimaka 06-18-2003 12:38 PM

Good morning everyone. I had to talk my son for a walk w/me yesterday since no one was home to watch him. Can I count that as part of my weight workout? Pushing 41+ lbs in a stroller up hills is tough work! He walked for a bit of the ways but since I didn't cut the route short, he hopped in the stroller for quite a ways too. It's all good though, it was family time. :strong: Don't know what's on the agenda today...we'll see how things pan out. My parents are going on a 2 week trip to California to visit family tomorrow. I'm losing my cook, cleaning and babysitting service (just kidding, sort of :^: ) .

Summer glad you found us! Hope we can motivate you to get to goal and vice versa. I'm good at being a cheerleader, but not so good at losing the weight  . Hope your summer's going well, you need a little relaxation from all those 4 year olds :D .

Holly take care of yourself, you hear ;) ? And no passing the cold around :p .

Kempy have fun w/Joe tonight  . How long will he be gone next time? When Rick was in the Nat'l Guard he used to be gone a lot of the time too, that sucked big time--that and his penchant for almost always working on Saturdays... I know how you feel. Was Echo sniffing around or was she just getting tired? My sister's dog walks a little ahead then just lays down w/his feet splayed out because he gets tired  .

Angie have a great day w/Jay. :hb: wishes to him. Have a bite of cake for me... So what'd you get him? Or is that too personal  ?

Emily hope you're enjoying your day also.

Sandy hope you haven't grown tired of us :( . Peek in and say hi  .

Well, I've got to get this day started. Have a good one all of you.

I cleaned the entire Durango out. After I started I wished I hadn't. The dogs go everywhere with us and Rebel has the run of the front so there was JRT hair EVERYWHERE. He has weird hair too, it is thin on one end and thicker on the other so it just hooks into anything. I told Him that I saved him $100.00 on detailing so now he has to go buy the new speakers for it this weekend. That is his gift with a little sumpin sumpin later. Plus I am going to make him a peanut butter frosted cake tonight while he is 4 wheeling. I know I shouldnt since I made it through yesterday perfectly but I want some too. I really cant wait until this month is over so I can get back on track and be a good girl.

Kempyd 06-18-2003 04:36 PM

Noelle hills would be so nice to have. We are all flat here. Come to think of it my butt looks like this place.

Echo just doesn't pay attention to what she is doing. She runs to one side and sniffs and then she is right in front of me going slow. A couple of times she was trying to place with her lease and she got it all wrapper around her. Crazy dog.

Angie cleaning out the truck is a good gift. I would do that for Joe but I don't think I could get it as clean as he would want. Peanut Butter cake sounds awesome. I am sure it is just terrific for you huh?

I think Joe will be home just for tonight but hey I will take whatever I can get. I am trying to make it a habit of walking Echo at night so that will kill some time when he isn't home. Plus we both need to mover around. She is my sleeping buddy. I will lay down on the sofa and she is right under me on the floor and before I know it we are both napping. Not good for either of us.

Sandy Come back!!!

Summerlover 06-18-2003 07:47 PM

Hi everyone! Angie, thanks for the welcome! My last day of school was supposed to be today, but we had four snow days, so my last day is next Tuesday. Graduation is on Monday, so the kids will probably just come in on Tuesday to get their report cards. As far as gallbladder attacks go, as long as I avoid high fat foods, I'm okay...and it's better for weight loss too. My daughter's pre-k graduation and my husband's birthday were on Monday, so I cheated with chocolate cake, but I was smart and brought the rest to school and left it in the teachers' lounge. ;) Holly, if you have a cold, try echinacea, garlic, and tons of vitamin C. Feel better! :) Kempy, we have a new beagle, Duffy, that we got from a shelter. I have to run to keep up with him when we take "walks" and then suddenly he picks up a scent and abruptly stops! He was not trained well by his former owners. :( Noelle, pushing 41 lbs. up hills definitely sounds effective! My old neighborhood was hilly, and I got a great workout (and cramps in my calves!) but our current neighborhood is mostly flat. I like it better because of the sidewalks. It is nice to not have to dodge cars and trucks! I mostly get my workouts at the gym or with aerobics tapes, because my daughter doesn't want to sit in a stroller anymore. I guess I can't argue with her since she is going to kindergarten in the fall. :( (I'm not ready for this.) I was feeling sad last week about saying goodbye to my classes, but I took Monday off for my girl's graduation and got a taste of freedom. Being home during the day got me into summer mode. Going back to school on Tuesday was so hard. Now I'm ready to say, "good bye" to my little darlings...I just LOVE summer!!!!! ;) Summer

peekabooangel 06-18-2003 07:48 PM

I'm here, just had a really busy couple of days. I tried to get here earlier today, but the day at work was crazy. With the name change and the move, seems I am busy all the time.....oh, I forgot thats why I get the money>>>>LOL

Summer: Nice to meet you..I too had my gallbladder removed.

Angie: Happy Bday to Jay.....be nice to the boy...if he's like every other man there is only one thing they beg for for their bdays.(I'm so bad)

Noelle: wow, that sure was a big chunk of change. We can't seem to save to fast here, the kids are always stealing the quarters out for those stupid quarter machines....

Kempy: Joe home...take it easy on the poor boy. Now, is the dog walking you???LOL

Jen & Holly: Hello, hope all is going well for you.

Well my 5 year old is in the background yelling and whining she can't find her pillowcase....(I call it her rag) it's not on a pillow, it's just the thing she has to have to sleep with....oh thank god, she just found it...under the tent....

Hahahah...yes, I said under the tent...my children thought it would be a great idea to camp in the livingroom, and I do mean camp....lol so I said go ahead...summer fun and all you know.

Hugs,

Sandy

Summer: We posted at the same time....our school got out on Monday, and that's when my kids started fighting. You would think a 5 year old and an 11 year old would not fight, but oh boy do they. And they are already sooooooo bored you know....

Summerlover 06-18-2003 08:05 PM

Sandy, my daughter keeps on begging me for a little sister or brother. What she doesn't understand is that I am infertile, and we had to do in vitro fertilization to conceive her. Another child is not an option. Anyway, I keep on telling her that if she had a sibling, they fight all of the time. But she won't listen to me. Oh well. Have fun trying to keep them busy! Summer ;)

melekalikimaka 06-18-2003 08:22 PM

 And Sandy, what would every man be begging for? ....ok ok, I get it...we don't want to get :tape: censored here on the thread so I'll just keep my mouth shut. Hmmm, if that happened I don't think out men would be too happy  Hahaha, i crack myself up

Oh yes, my gallbladder is still intact as far as I know :D Maybe my brain got removed though :dizzy:

Summer enjoy your little girl. You've been blessed once! It was a bit hard for me to conceive my first one (I think it was due to weight for the most part), but DH and I are trying--at least not preventing, and it sure is fun to try.

Anyhoo, I'm just getting really silly so I guess I'll stop here.

peekabooangel 06-19-2003 07:19 AM

 Morning girls, I just wanted to pop in before I headed out the door for work. I'm sure Angie is up and atom and on her walk, or she could be baking her little heart out? It's almost summer tourist season, I can tell!!! Our town is so busy....

So Angie??? What did you give Jay???? Enquiring minds need to know:lol: Just kidding, I'm sure you were nice to the man.

Noelle: Humm.......do we have dirty minds or what? I'm thinking we were thinking the same thing.

Talk to you girls later....
Sandy

angieME 06-19-2003 08:17 AM

Good Morning!! I was so bad last night...no not like that  I had 2 pieces of cake AND...... I made Jay and the kids chcolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches and Alicia decided to stay at a friends house so I ate that too. AAAHHH!!!! I can be such a pig when I want to. On the plus side I was good all day and the scales didnt move up today. Now if I can just be good until the 28 I probably wouldnt do any damage for the month but what are the odds that I will be? So I cleaned out the Durango and it does look good. I made him a cake and ice cream sandwiches and got him a card from Rebel. Didnt get in any nookie because he fell asleep. And I am going to make him get his speakers for the Durango on Saturday.

Yep, I did my morning walk already. I swear I am a freak in this town. The old town managers wife was walking today and she stopped us and asked how many miles we do a day. Usually we get comments from everyone on how much we walk. It is kinda embarrassing.

Kempyd 06-19-2003 01:39 PM

HE FELL ASLEEP???? Even Joe didn't fall asleep last night. Just Kidding. I guess it is his b-day and he can sleep early if he wants. Plus, doesn't he get up early to deliver?

I can't workout today b/c I have got to buy stickers for the yard sale and my mom's hubby and my nephew are having a b-day dinner tomorrow night so I have to go buy them gifts. I plan on walking Echo though so that has to count for something.

HOLY SMOKES it is hott down here! Ok just had to get that out.

I feel left out with all of the kid talk. I am really joking there!!! You guys know that I am no where near the kid stage.
