Rubidoux and Jennifer, glad to hear I am not the only one who both loves and loathes grocery day! haha

And Changegirl, I HEAR YOU! I have a 7000 calorie deficit this week but only saw 0.4 drop this week. Sometimes it takes a while to show! So long as you know you've been on plan, your body will figure it out! For me, it MUST be water retention from the bacon wrapped scallops I let myself have! While I am sorry you are frustrated, it's good for us to see each other in the same situation! I always think "Oh, that woman must just have water weight...she's gonna be fine!" but then I can be in the identical boat and think "OMG MY LIFE IS OVER!" lol we'll keep each other's weight loss in perspective :P

^^This cracked me up because it describes me perfectly!! It's just another reason why these boards are so fabulous--they keep us sane! I was at 172 this morning, so the scale is slowly going down. While I'd always like a bigger loss, I'll take what I can get. I have a ton of work to do around the house (both inside and out), laundry, grocery shopping (must resist lure of new food), and essay grading today. I'm hoping to burn a bunch of calories working. DH and I will also take our 3.5 mile walk this evening. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!!

Haha, thanks Jennifer!!

THANK GOD, I saw movement this morning! 175.4 baby!!! I was ready to happily accept the 0.4 loss I saw yesterday, but now I get 1.5!!! Just 0.4 more until a new carrot man and I get to open my next secret motivation letter from my boyfriend! And then...omg..170 = HALFWAY and 40 lbs gone! Feelin' good! My rate of loss is slowing down...but hey, if that means I am getting thinner....I won't complain...a lot... !

You all and your AWESOME losses are making me want to get on that scale. I've been off the scale since Wednesday (but I did peek on Saturday morning) and don't have another official way in until this coming Wed. I'm feeling good about this--on track and increased activity. Also I just printed the squat, crunch, plank challenge. Healthy and happy days to all!

I'm one week into weight training with friends. I'm interested to see how it effects the rate of my loss. Regardless it does I know it will help my tone a lot whether or not the scale moves. There's worst things than staying in the 170s

Though I have been cravvvving protein like no one's business lately too. I could gladly eat my weight in plain tofu (not that that would be a good thing to do).

174.2 this morning. I gained 0.2 lbs. I'm so tired of gaining and losing the same pound, I haven't had a good loss in weeks. I'm not happy.

So I've been doing Shaun T's Insanity workout program and trying to follow his suggested diet program. I have been using his calorie suggestion, but trying to eat the 5 meals has been tough. I'm almost 2 weeks in and while I love that I feel my shape is getting better, my weightloss has sloooowed. I'm considering dropping my calories back down. He suggest kinda high calorie allotment because he says you need to fuel the workouts. I want energy for the exercise, but I'd like to get to where I can lose 2 lbs a week instead 1/2 lb to 1.

Would you all stick the eating program out for the whole 90 days? Or would you get back to your own eating thing and just do the prescribed workouts?

Hey AngelicFruitcake and Suds- sorry you are feeling frustrated! Just stay on plan and your body will catch up!

WananBeFitnessBuff- I'd say eat whatever is sustainable for you. I think workout dvds include a meal plan because so many of us were clueless as to nutrition before beginning our journeys, and we all know working out alone wont cause weight loss if the eating habits dont change! Ultimately, I try to ask "can I do this in real life for a long term?" and if the answer is no, I modify it so I can In regards to the calorie allotment, as long as you don't go below 1200 AFTER exercise, do what you want! I eat 1500 and burn 300 daily personally.

Lastly, 174.9 today! That's a 35 lb loss! YES YES YES!!!! 5 more lbs till halfway and I get a reward today!!!

I only officially weigh myself on Mondays but I unofficially weigh in almost every day, it just doesn't "count" unless it's Monday. Anyways, I was 173.2 this morning! That's a whole pound down from yesterday! I hope it stays that way (of goes lower) when I officially weigh in next week!

Hmmmmm I don't know what the cause for it but it appears I got a super whoosh week - 167.4 this morning. Since I only weigh once a week I'm sure if its a fluke catch so I don't want to leave this support group yet. Plus I'm away at a conference next week which could easily bump me back either way.

dehtripper: Woohoo on the super whoosh! A fluke or not, that is fantastic! Even if it goes back up a little, you know you'll get back there soon.

I was at 172.6 this morning, which is where I was 5 days ago. I am going to try to flush my system by drinking loads of water and see if I can get back to where I was 2 days ago!
