Default Reached goal weight, got insulted same day

Hey guys, so yesterday I reached my initial goal weight of losing 50 lbs. I'm 5'8 and have gone from 191 to 141 in the past 8 months. I was super excited and proud of myself for reaching my goal, and then at work the same day a guy came by and squeezed my upper arm/shoulder and said "hmm" with a confused sound in his voice.

When I asked what was up, he said "I thought you would be more toned, since your so thin." And made a comment about how deceiving it was that I looked thin but really am not tight. He's a nice guy and wasn't trying to be a jerk, but it upset me anyways, I'm very aware that I am mushy and need to tone up.

Anyways, just needed to vent..I can't believe that the same day I was celebrating a 50 lb loss, I was told I need to hit the gym.

Congrats on your huge loss, awesome!!!

How rude of that guy. Tell him to keep his hands to himself. You made amazing progress, don't let him block your sunshine.

Sounds like a classic case of foot-in-mouth syndrome - he probably didn't mean to be insulting but geez! Think before letting the words fall out of the hole in your face!

You've done a fantastic thing for yourself - be proud and don't let anybody else's thoughtlessness dampen that accomplishment. Congratulations!!

Congratulations on your success!

Just ignore impolite people who have no business grabbing your arm in the first place.

Yep, hitting is in order - you need to deck the jerk for insensitivity beyond the average male-clueless.

Congrats on those 50 pounds gone forever.

First of all, congrats!! 50 lbs is a great loss, and you have every reason to be very proud of yourself!!

I'm guessing that what that guy did and said was a classic case of not thinking before doing/speaking.

Why would your co-worker be touching you? And that was a very rude comment. He is not a nice guy.

Congratulations on a great loss ! This guy is a rude, thoughtless jerk. Try to ignore him and tell him "hands off" if he tries to touch you again.

No to touching anyone in the workplace. And no to comments like that.

50lbs is fantastic! Focus on your success.

Good for you!!! Congratulations on the 50 lb. loss! Don't let other people's insensitivity bother you. If anything, pity the guy for having zero social skills. I'm sure you look amazing--just feel good about all you've accomplished. You deserve to feel good about it!!!
