Talking My Motivational Song

Hey everyone,

I want to share my #1 Motivational Song with you. The song is Shakira's "Waka Waka" and it's just such a positive, goal-oriented pump up jam! It was the FIFA World Cup Official Song back in 2010, so it's centred around a big event, just like our weight loss journeys!

This song motivated me to run my first marathon, especially the following lyrics:

"Today's your day, I feel it,
You paved the way, believe it,
When you fall, get up, oh oh,
And if you fall, get up, eh eh"

Also, waka waka is sort of like "Seize the Day!" That's why it's in my User Name thingy! <-------

I swear- when I hear the song, I feel the need to cry like I am watching a sappy commercial. I used to listen to it running and I would picture my finish line! That's why it always makes me tear up! My current "finish line" is a family and friends reunion in July this summer- I am only home twice a year due to working waaaaay up North and I can't wait to show off what I will have accomplished by then! One line says "You're on the front lines, everyone's watching...people are raising their expectations"... AHH it just makes me want to run and show what I can do!!!!!!

Here is the link to the awesome and fun music video. May it inspire you as well!

Ooh that's good! I'd love to hear other motivational songs. I like "Defying Gravity" ... sometimes I'll belt it out in the car when I'm feeling frustrated.

I'm through accepting limits 'cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change But till I try, I'll never know!

I love anything Lifehouse does! I'm a big fan of theirs.

I think my motivational song would be "Say (All I Need)" by OneRepublic. I have like twenty favorite songs, but that song just does something for me that probably no other song can.
