I've been noticing that my neck is getting somewhat slender. Also, I always thought I had a round shaped face but I'm starting to think that might not be true. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I almost don't recognize myself. My thighs seem fatter than ever, though. :p
.
Oh, almost forgot! My feet have thinned out so much that I have veins that stick out.

Too funny! I always kind of look forward to waking up in the morning and feeling around on my belly for a minute to see what it's like. And then I jump out of bed and onto the scale. lol Not that I'm obsessed or anything. When you're working hard on something it's fun to see it paying off.

20 lbs down and I can already feel it! I knew I wasn't going to be miraculously tiny in comparison, but I've lost 5 inches from my waist. My shirts are fitting better. My stomach feels firmer, and not as bloated. Loving it!

Armpits in the shower is my thing at the moment.

I absolutely love reading about people discovering their new bodies! :D

I keep being told my neck is longer. But I can see my collar bones now and also the outline of my chin bone on my face. My friends and I went out for our girly dinner the other night and it's always the 4 of us together. We decided to take a photo and I looked so tiny in comparison to the rest of them. They're all size 8s, 10s, and one of them is a 12, but I looked smaller. I'm the different one and I felt so chuffed

Bumping this thread as it popped in my head today!

I was shaving my legs and apparently I never touch my leg when I'm doing it. Somehow my hand brushed the back of my calf and I almost threw up feeling the muscle in there!!

I must be toning muscle in my legs from running/walking and it totally grossed me out! So of course after getting out of the shower I had to go model to myself in the full length mirror to check them out!:hyper::hyper::hyper:

Feeling bones, muscles, everything through my skin now gives me the willies!:yikes::yikes::yikes:

Anytime I am touching my arm, I'm all, "Where did these biceps come from?!?!"

The timing of this tread is perfect. I've been wondering lately if I'm suffering from a form of body dismorphia or something. I'm down nearly 30 pounds in less than 2 months and no fewer than 8 people in the past week have commented that they notice I've lost. When I look in the mirror I look EXACTLY the same. I see absolutely no difference in my image in the mirror today versus the start weight pictures I took 30 pounds ago.

The only place I feel different is in my thighs. I can feel the muscle definition starting there from all the PT exercises I've been doing to strengthen the muscles that support my weak knee. Surprisingly, my calves were pretty well defined already even at 261 pounds, so I'm not really seeing a difference there. Even though measurements show I'm down 2+ inches in upper arms (that was at 1 month), I see and feel no difference.

I know I'm smaller because none of my clothes fit and the tape measure says I'm smaller, I just can't see it (even though others evidently can), and I can't feel it anywhere but my thighs.

I can't do squats or any other weight bearing exercises because I have no cartage left in my right knee and very little in my left knee. I got my exercises from my physical therapist, but they arête try much the same as this site, minus the squats:

Awww. It's not disgusting...it's über sexy! Ooooh la la!

Nickel1979 - That's fantastic!!!

SuperHeroTeacher - Isn't body dysmorphia the weirdest thing ever? Sometimes I wish I could be my fat self again, just for a few hours, so I can remember what my body was really like then.

My current weird thing is that my neck is slimming and I'm getting that hole/indent/crater thing, like between-above my collar bones. (Does anyone even know what I mean? :dizzy: ) I keep sticking my finger there because it's so bizarre.

I have a hard time "seeing" the change too. I look in the mirror and don't really see a difference. One thing that someone recommended to me was to take a picture at every 5% lost from your SW. I am about 2 pound away from 20% lost from my SW and yesterday I opened up all the photos in a row on my computer. Taking my "Before Pic" and my latest I was suprised at the difference I saw. I highly recommend everyone take pictures every 5% to see the difference!

My husband and I were cuddling the other day and he mentioned that he could feel my hip bone and how nice it was that he could wrap his arms all the way around me. Yay for feeling bones and muscle!

I've been struggling for almost 2 months to get the 10 pounds in this decade off -- to the point of mentally beginning to slide. Then I went to pick up a prescription and had to sit in a wooden chair and wait........it was uncomfortable. Couldn't figure out what the problem was. Wondered if I had left the garden hoe in the back pocket of my jeans (have done that before -- gives you an idea of how well "padded" I am back there). I finally realized that for the first time in YEARS I was feeling my butt bones while sitting in a chair. WOW! Got me mentally back in the game. I was really happy to be in discomfort. :smug:

I know what you mean too!! I stare at mine in the mirror (and suck my breath in to make it more pronounced lmao) but I'm not touching it!! Now THAT would really make me puke!!!

Yay Betsy for butt bones!! My butt was SORE for days after sitting on my front steps for a while at the beginning of spring. I didn't even know I had them until they hurt! And yay for getting mentally back in the game, you have worked way too hard for yourself to stop now.

I love this thread!
