10 pounds down now, and i feel ok i suppose. I am starting to fit into clothes i couldn't before. I still don't like myself but i am getting better with each day. What i wanted to ask you is what goes when you are sleep deprived. Do you give in on a craving or what? My daughter has the flu and i was watching over her for 2 night in a row and i am with less than 4 hours of sleep in total. I am also sick with the flu so during these 2 days i ate spagetti both days for lunch and one of the days at 3 at night (since i remained all night awake to check on her elevated fever). In contrast to the old days i didn't eat much. A small plate all of the times, and in comparison to a month ago i didn't want to eat anymore. In similar cases i could eat the whole package alone during the night. I think it is an improvement to what it used to be. I haven't binged at night for a month or so and i am starting to see a difference in my binging attitude.

Which is that mainly i have no urges to binge...!!!!! Also during these 2 days despite the fact that enjoyed spagetti almost freely i lost another pound. Your outlook on enjoying occasionally your favorite food but with portion control has helped me immensely. Thank you!

I love pasta (afterall I am Italian) but if I want to gain FAST; pasta with cream sauce will do it. I still eat it but very rarely and only with olive oil and garlic. I'm not big on marinara. Alfredo sauce is totally banned.

Yup, refined carbs are a big no-no for me. They are addictive! Also fried food. And fatty sweets. And coffee, makes me want to have a munch. Also, these things don't provide much in the way of nutrition, so my body is hungry for good stuff, but when I've been in a downward spiral I don't always see what's happening. Luckily, when I think about what I'm going to eat these days I'm 80% more careful. And I feel it more negatively when I eat crap.

As for clothes, I did buy new trousers for work but mostly the rest for me is tossing what doesn't work anymore and using up the few pieces that still do.

Have a great week everyone

Hi everyone I'm kinda new, I registered a while back but I haven't been logged on for a while. I am trying to build consistency with exercising regularly, I'm a slacker. I know I can do it once I stop slacking and get consistent.

You don't like yourself? Please tell me it's that you're not satisfied with your looks, but not that you don't like yourself. "yourself' is marvelous

This weekend has been really hard for me! I ate too much on Friday and Saturday. It's sunday and I am trying really hard not to let the previous days affect me. Thanks Exhale15 for the good advice. It may be that I did not get enough healthy calories in the previous day (thursday).

I know I have gained (my weight goes up and down too fast... mostly water weight, but it makes my emotions all crazy).

Hopefully I can report back later saying that I stayed within my calories today!!!

The pool was so much fun with my new underwater iPod that I ended up going again today (it was going to be my break day) and worked out for 1.5 hours. fun fun fun

Now I need to go in and make some juice... went to the natural market and got some good fruits and veggies for it.

Alright, I was tired with zero motivation but I got my butt off the couch and jogged for an hour...that's 7 days at the gym this week along with sensible eating 98% of the time. If I'm not down a pound by sometime next week then whatever. This week I gave ALL I had and I'm not willing to push any harder. I wave my white flag to the scale.

Time for dinner and then Walking Dead.

Hi All.

Exhale15, I like the idea of not having the original weight on my ticker too. I am thinking of doing a 25 lb ticker 3 times. I have a bad relationship w/catbs too. They just want me to eat more if I have some.

Fluffypuppy sorry about your loss, I pet sit as a side business. I take it hard when a friend goes over the bridge.

I still have my cold. I really want to do some exercise, but my energy level is low. Today was the first day I have wanted sweets. I couldn't find any low carb foods that were not ultra processed and had chocolate. I bought some Lindt truffles and will have 1-2 a day. I did a good grocery shopping today as well as checked out other food labels for future reference.

I had a salad for lunch w/pulled pork and for dinner grilled chicken w/ roasted brussel sprouts w/bacon. Good start to the week! Have a good week everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I finished my Les Mills Combat rotation today! It was starting to get old!

I felt really good today. TTOM is still on, but I'm thinking that it will be shorter than it has been (in the last year ). I hope I didn't just jinx myself with that comment.

Katydid I'm glad your weigh in stuck. Sometimes it bounces back a little. Good job.

Fluffypuppy Sorry to hear about the loss of one of your "doggie clients". I know it had the same effect on our groomer when Magnum passed. Good job on your food plan.

Misti I'm glad the new iPod is such a good addition for you. We've gotta keep things fresh and fun. I guess that's why I just ordered 3 new workout DVD's. I am considering 3 more, too.

Pinkflakes I hope the Dr appointment goes well and they can find out what's going on. It's got to be difficult not knowing the problem.

Novangel Did you enjoy The Walking Dead? I watched the Amazing Race! Good job on getting to the gym.

Ellemphriem I agree with enjoying the foods you like in moderation, if you can do it. I have a difficult time with moderation. It just depends on what it is.

Exhale I can also feel it if I eat too many off plan foods. I feel tired and lethargic and like crap in general.

Prettyladi Hi and Welcome to the check-in!

Gracenote How did things go today? I hope you did well and were able to stick to your plan.

Alaskanlaughter Hang in there.

1961tracy--thanks. Sounds like you know what it's like. Do you have any pets? I have two 11-year-old Pomeranians. A male and a female. They are my world. I live alone so I am closer to them than I am to anyone except for my immediate family (Mom, Dad and brother).

Today I lost it at dinner. I went out with a friend to an Ethiopian restaurant and I loved me a veggie platter. It sounds healthy but it's actually rather high cal and there was a lot of injera (Ethiopian sour dough bread) involved. I didn't even count calories but upon relocating my mind I figure it was about 1000 cals. Earlier in the day I had a 400 cal lunch (also involving bread) so not terrible but more bread than is ideal. It was totally unplanned, the going out, so I wasn't prepared with calorie content research and the like. Oh well. Moving on.

Total Approx Calories 1205 +

Wow! My calories are lower than normal today. That's good for me since yesterday was a higher calorie day. I didn't feel deprived either. I devised a recipe for chicken salad that's higher in protein and doesn't use mayo. I want to share it, but I'm scared everyone will think it's weird. I am a volume eater, so I eat different than a lot of people do. I have to get full or I will have problems later on. The chicken salad had a lot of protein in it, it was a lot (volume) and it totally satisfied me. I used a can of white meat chicken, a small container of pineapple, and ricotta cheese. I mixed it up really well. Yesterday I didn't use the pineapple, since I hadn't bought it yet. I used celery. Next time I will put celery in it along with the pineapple. Another tip about the bread. The bread stays in the freezer because of the type of bread it is. I put 2 froze together pieces in the toaster. I put it on the medium setting and defrost. The outside of both pieces were toasted but the inside was soft. I put the toasted side on the inside when I made my sandwich. It gave a little extra crunch/texture. Dang it was good! I also put some lettuce on the sandwich.
