  • Ow. I have lost enough so that my fat seems to be softer and my bones can poke through. That is great. But either I need to gain back my fat or get a new bed because my ribs and hip bones are killing me.
I was drying off after a shower and saw two strange lumps on my side, I was like what the heck are those, looked closer and realized that I can see part of two ribs on each side, lol. I had to yell at hubby to come see if he could see them too.
  • Yep, lol. I can't lie on a hard floor or sit on a hard chair at all- too painful!

Congrats on your NSV anyway! xD
  • Sometimes I manage to hurt myself with my own knees bumping against each other. It's like there's nothing but bone everywhere, even in places where I didn't suspected there was.
  • Quote: But either I need to gain back my fat or get a new bed because my ribs and hip bones are killing me.

    Get a new bed!!!

Seriously, I sleep on a Tempur-Pedic and there is nothing like it for a perfect pressure relieving night's sleep.
  • I made the mistake of trying a couple of beds out at Sears the other day. OH. My. Aching. Back! I didn't realize just how sad our current bed is, I knew it was old as dirt but good grief it is really bad. The trouble is hubby liked one bed, I liked a different one and he said no way to us each getting our own so I guess he is just going to have to compromise with getting the bed I want.
  • I have to have a pillow between my knees when I sleep
  • Sitting on bleachers at my kids' games is literally a pain the butt now So I just take one of those "older people" cushions
  • I feel for you. I have my rib and hip bone pains too. Look at it this way you have an hourglass because you are tapering. Congrats.
  • If you and hubby like different beds, consider a Select Comfort. I've had mine 15+ years, and we still both like it. It's given us no trouble, and customer service has been outstanding!
  • I can definitely relate! The more I lose the more I literally ache for a new bed. I cannot sleep on my sides, my hips get so sore; when I sleep on my stomach my ribs hurt.

LOL it's the weight loss equivalent to 1st world problems I guess.
  • Just an FYI if anyone wants the opinion. I got a number bed from select comfort about 4 years ago after multiple shoulder surgeries and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!
  • it took me awhile, but I started sleeping on my back, because my hip bones poke out and make it uncomfortable to sleep xD I miss my nice cooshy sides when I'm trying to sleep tho...Haha

Congrats on the bones poping out =D
  • congrats to you! I totally understand, I can't sit too long because my butt cheeks hurt, and sleeping is the same for me
  • I can't wait to find out if I still have ribs! Good luck in your new bed search.
  • I'm having trouble with my tail bone. I've got a new Pilates video and there are parts I can't do because it hurts to roll back from sitting to an incline. Honestly, how do thin people do this?
