Default Appetite changing...

Recently I haven't been wanting to eat as much... or rather not as much as I used to. I get full a lot easier, and too much food has started grossing me out. This has been nice, since I haven't been running much lately (I need to get in the habit of running when it's warm out!), and I've been steadily losing/maintaining.
I'm pretty happy that I've been cutting back naturally, even though I haven't really conveyed that yet. Anyone else have that happen to them?

Absolutely! It's not consistent for me, but I definitely have days like you are describing. They balance out the white-knuckle days where it's all I can do to stay on plan.

Ohh. I see. I dunno though I really wish I wanted run, but I just haven't felt like it. Maybe I'm stressed?

Aww... I'm sorry... Maybe you'll randomly have this phase one day!

What Freelancemomma said. LOL. I suppose there are days I am less hungry, but, in general, my appetite is always great.

I am with Laurie, some days I feel like I could eat a whole grocery store, but other days (like today) I get full a lot easier and don't feel the need to eat as often. It's just inconsistent.

I also get sick at the idea of eating such large quantities of food anymore. Sometimes I think back and wonder how the heck I ate so much at one time- the way I used to before I started losing weight.

Yes, I am experiencing the same thing, especially at breakfast and lunch. At dinner I tend to want to eat more, but it is more out of habit than hunger, so i am learning to cut things back there too. When I do overeat I feel totally sluggish.

Spiritix - i have same thing happening. I feel if i take another bite that i am going to toss it. i have been getting concern about this because i endup like 500 short of my target calories. Just trying to add a few more nuts is such a turn off.

This is only my fourth week of dieting and i am guessing that it is my body adjusting to changes.

Yes, I definitely think I've experienced this. Although I think part of it is psychological too. Knowing when to say no, when enough is enough etc.

It's happened to me, although it took years for my appetite to gradually dwindle down. On the other hand, I also eat more often than the good old regular 3 meals a day. So I can't eat much in one sitting, but I get hungry again fast--or something like that.

I'm never grossed out by food, but I definitely have cycles of more or less hunger. Some of it is hormonal, some seems random. But yesterday, for example, I had a snack and dessert and still came in 200 calories below my target. Other days I'm spending a fair bit of time maximizing every bite because I know it won't be easy to stay in range. This has happened throughout my journey, so I just eat to hunger with the best choices I can make when I need more, and make sure to maximize nutrition on the days when nothing gets my appetite going.

Overall, though, I'm an eater
