Off-Plan Pizza, Ice Cream, Chinese, Cheeseburger, French Fries, and Acohol - Oops
We all have those bad weeks, and for the past week or so it was my turn. There's been a lot of socializing this past week, some planned and some not, and I ended up eating off-plan Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday and am up .4 pounds. Though the damage is minimal, I'm not too pleased with myself.
But, time to pull myself up by my bootstraps and move on! I hereby re-commit myself to eating on plan, with all you lovlies at 3FC as my witnesses!
What a wonderful food week you had - er, I mean, yes, grab those boot straps!
On my diet before this one, I started at 182 - just one pound more than you. This time, I started at 202. My being 202 and 20 pounds more than I was before, all started with a few bad days, but it sounds like you know what can happen and are on the right path.
Sounds like my weekend. It can be difficult when I go away and am surrounded by huge quantities of unhealthy food and emotionally unhealthy people. They may be lovely but if they like to binge or overeat like me they are also emotionally unhealthy like me. That was my weekend anyway.
I also had a massively off-plan day on Saturday. It was a family celebration and my in-laws were breaking in their new outdoor brick pizza oven. They made about five different kinds of pizzas, and guess who had to sample every one? Not to mention the amazing appetizers, salads and desserts people brought. All told I'd estimate the damage at about 4,000 calories. I was back on plan yesterday and hope to eat at a slight deficit for the next few days.
I'm of two minds about my major off-plan days. On the one hand I think why not? In this case, it was an opportunity to eat particularly delicious homemade food. On the other hand I think it might be easier for me to eat a little more more evenly, with regular but somewhat smaller indulgences. Thoughts?

For me I think that eating evenly with regular, small indulgences will bring me more success. If I just really let loose I'm likely to do a lot of damage calorie wise, plus I tend to feel bad about myself. Since I CC I can plan for indulgences, but it's when they're unplanned that I run into problems.
