Talking Milestone - 70 lbs lost
Today I hit (surpassed actually) the 70 pound mark! August was a very low loss month for me -- celebrated my 30th birthday pretty much all month by eating crap, drinking lots of wine, and barely working out. I'm surprised I lost at all really. Anyway, I buckled back down and am already down a couple and today I hit a huge milestone.

I don't know what it is about the number 70. For me it just seems like such a huge number, so much bigger than 60. I just remember thinking, at 236 pounds, gosh I just would love to be in the 160s, but dang that's 70 pounds, that just so far away. AND HERE I AM! It's totally unbelievable to me! I'm only just over 10 pounds away from being a "normal" weight!

Back in March when I seriously started losing weight I set a goal of 154 pounds by Halloween. I really had no realistic hopes, at that time, that I would ever really make that goal, and here it is just over 8 weeks away from Halloween and it's totally within my grasp.

I know this journey can be so hard, and so long, and so full of doubt; I just wanted to share my success with everyone!

Isn't it amazing how time goes by, and if you are persistent in pursuing your goals, you achieve them? 70 is a very big number!

I love this status so much! Congratulations! Interestingly enough, I am about where you started right now, and hope to eventually lose the same 70 pounds as you! (though I fully intend to post when I hit 171 instead, which will be 100 pounds for me).
