Height: 5 foot 6

Default I've put half of the weight back on.

Greetings
Last year I was most chuffed with myself, losing 27.5 kgs in 9 months.
However, I slipped up, and over the past few months, have been binging. I have watched the weight slowly pack on, and apart from a few half hearted attempts to get back on the wagon, I am failing big time.

Now I am 13.5 kgs heavier, 86 kgs now, depressed and so bitterly disappointed in myself.

How can I get back on track and stay there?!

I've been where you are. It sucks to almost feel like you are outside yourself, looking in, watching yourself eat back the weight. It just sucks.

But unfortunately there is no magic wisdom to getting back into it. Find your inner motivation... Why do you want to lose the weight? Think about why you are bingeing in the first place. Are you soothing emotions? Eating out of boredom? Wake up telling yourself you CAN achieve your goals, don't make it a question. Get some physical activity, it'll help boost your mood and keep you busy. Those are the things that have helped me.

I have yo-yo'd for over 10 years and it SUCKS...truly. I've lost weight quickly for things like my wedding etc., then quit and put it all back on [and then some]. Now, almost a year since re-starting, I'm really focused on the lifestyle change rather than the quick diets etc. I personally believe you need both a healthy diet and exercise to see the kind of body you want and you can't be extreme [these 800 cal. diets ppl mention, honestly who can MAINTAIN that forever??]

Find a program that you think you can really stick to long term, don't crash diet. Start small, make a goal to make one change and stick to it for a week, then add another - even if that's just walking to work, or stopping soda consumption etc. If you look at the big picture, it can seem overwhelming. Make a small goal, what do you think you can attain in one week? One month? Use those milestones to push toward your goal b/c nothing is impossible. And keep coming back here for support, cause you'll find that in spades~!

p.s. You mention that you binge eat, have you considered starting a food diary or tracker? I find that writing down what I eat helps me stay on track, just a suggestion.
