Default Drinking seltzer water?

Is it safe? I REALLY like it. It says it has no calories, so will it flush out toxins and stuff like normal water?

Seltzer water is just water with carbon dioxide added to make it fizzy. Club soda is similar but may have some salt added. They both will act like plain water although I'd avoid club sodas with any salt added.

I drink seltzer all the time, although usually mixed with white wine. lol It is just carbonated water.

I LOVE seltzer, especially the flavored ones! My favorites are Polar vanilla, grapefruit, black cherry, and pomegranate. Last summer they had a pineapple-coconut - I really hope they make it again this summer!

I drink club soda a lot when out with friends - the bubbles make me feel like I'm drinking something much more interesting than water.

ETA - club soda only has 10mg sodium per 8 ounces, so I don't think drinking it occasionally will hurt.

It's perfectly safe, I just wouldn't recommend the stuff with fake sugar in it because of the research surrounding it. I drink calorie-free carbonated water with "fruit essence" (whatever that means) all the time. I don't know if it's a great replacement for 'real' water, though, because it's hard to drink your daily requirement of H2O using the bubbly stuff. I'm glad you're hooked though, I know I am!

I love seltzer water. I actually have to limit myself to a few bottles a week (mostly because it gets expensive). I would love to buy one of those soda machines so I can make my own. Other than plain seltzer water, the only other things I drink are water, coffee and the occasional mint tea, so I can still get my fizzy fix from the seltzer water.

Yes, seltzer water is fine, ideally as long as it's just water. They do make 0-calorie flavored ones, but take a look at the ingredients.

I have a soda machine (SodaStream) and it really helped me start drinking a lot of water (I just used it to carbonate the water, I didn't buy the flavorings). I sometimes put lemon or lime wedges in the water. Yum

I buy cases of it at Costco, so I hope it's safe!

Yes, it should be fine. It just depends on the sodium content. I wouldn't go for any of the fake sugar, myself though.

Yay! They sell it for about a dollar in my city so I usually buy it when I'm running around the town

Yeah I drink it all the time! I buy low-sodium no-name club soda and drink it when ever I want something more fun than just plain water
