It's not the number on the scale that matters anyway, it's the difference that matters when you are in weight loss mode. When you're way over your goal weight a 3-5 pound difference in weight between scales is negligible. Most scales have some error built in anyway. If small fluctuations are going to stress you, stop weighing every day. Seriously. It's hard enough as it is. Why do you want to put added stress on yourself. Pick a weigh in day, and weigh, otherwise stay away from the scales. But also pick some other metrics that will help motivate you. Use a tape measure and take measurements that you can use to help keep you motivated.

Don't let one scale discourage you...you are still making good progress and the real win is when your pants are loose!
So true! When the pants get loosey- glossy!!

The wii board depends on you NOT putting it on a cushioned surface. If I weigh myself on my lounge's plush carpet, I'm magically 10lbs lighter! If I weigh myself on a hardwood floor I'm in sync with the scales at my doctors office.

We also measure our dogs on it and their weights sync up with the digital scales at the vets.

That actually makes a lot of sense because whether I use the Wii at home or at school, it tells me the same weight, but both boards are on carpeted surfaces (however, they're both Berber/similar to Berber so I don't know if that makes a difference). Although, it's really only like a 3-4lb difference from my mom's bathroom scale and the one at the nurse's office, so I'm no that worried about it.
