Blessing to all the Snowy Sunday! We have gotten alot of snow since Fri. I am worried about going to work Monday because the area I work in is under a snow advisory! That means do not be out unless you have to and if you slide off you won't recive help anytime soon! Looks like my DD is doing better Thanks for the Prayers. I am hope that they cancel school Monday. The roads are pretty bad out here and the wind is so strong that they can't seem to get them cleaned off.

Claudette-I kind of have the same problem When I cut my intake way down My Bloodsugars drop so much I end up eating everything in sight! I am trying to eat a few crackers in between meals and it is helping.

Wilma-how is the weather out your way?
EZ-I want some sun! Please send it ASAP!

Yes, it is suppose to snow today, and then warm up into the 30's the increase in temp will be a welcome change. I really don't want more snow, but I will refrain from complaints. Hi to claudette- good to see you back again, sami glad your daughter is doing better, now about you, make sure you check with the dr. and see what is what. Maybe there is a mix up, or something. Then at least the Dr. could explain course of treatment ect. Hi to everyone else. Pastor update- He has 6 more treatments of radiation, He goes Feb. 28th to be scanned again, and has a follow up apt. at Dartmouth on March 10th, I continue to ask for prayer that He has been healed and is cancer free. I relize the only way this can happen is if the Lord chooses to intervene. I just pray that happens. I above pray his will be done. I again am working a double today, and have to leave shortly. It's a balmy -7C outside and it's Monday. I don't want to go to work because no one else in this house has to but that's life. I'm having a great visit with my in laws. We also had a great time with our friends from back home. It was so good to see them. Now it's back on schedule and back to having a salad at lunch.

I hope you all have a super day. My prayers are will all of you. I wish I had more time to talk with all of you but time doesn't really permit this morning. Have a great one!!

I didn't make it to my Alpha class tonight because I haven't felt very good all day. I've had tummy problems and then i had chills and i still have this dull headache. Really think i might have a touch of flu?

I should be studying for an art history test tomorrow......but i don't feel like it.

Had a bad cheat today.....but i'm trying to be more positive so I'll just forget it and go on.

Thought today that I don't think of praying before I eat and I'm going to change that. It'll maybe make me more aware of what I'm doing.

Sherry, glad things are going well with your work schedule. Glad you are taking care of you. ;)

Hi everyone I pray everyone is staying OP! I is WAR at my house two of my DD's are at each others throats! I can't stand it when they fight. I did talk to the Dr. today and she wants me to go back to the The refering Dr. How this plays out is My Dr sent me to the speicalist he thought I needed an ERCP because he thought my pain was caused by the bile ducts spasming. I have been seeing the speicalist for almost 2 yrs while he treated me for all kinds of things he thought it could be. He then sent me to another speicalist who said the ERCP could be harmful and he sent me to another speicalist who did a diffrent procedure. Now she want me to go back to the 2nd speicalist to have the procedure done that he said could be harmful because she thinks that the bile ducts are spasming and the only way to find out is the ERCP! I am getting worse I have not slept through the night for the last 12 days. I keep waking up in pain.

Sami: I will pray that the Drs find out exactly what is wrong and that it can be treated. I can't imagine not being able to sleep. I need my sleep so badly or I'm grouchy the next day! Take Care.

mrshummer: I would love a work schedule like yours. I just returned to full time and I've had a struggle getting used to it. I don't mind the work I just don't get much done at home!

Sorry to hear your daughters argue, but that is normal for teenagers I guess- is that what they are! Guess I just supposed they were. Mrs. Hummer- don't forget to take that Lasix, I hope things start looking up for you as well! Mitchy- sorry your feeling yucky hope you'll soon be up and about. I didn't have a good food day yesterday and blame it partly on getting over not feeling well. I did feel better and made it to school but i was out of my schedule and did not make good food choices.

But today's another day, right?!

Sue-wow 9 lbs. that is a lot in a week. Good for you.

Today i woke up stuffy and my voice gravelly. :( Think I need to start taking my vit C, echinacea, zinc and garlic oil. That usually will stop it.

I have too much to do today and would love to just crawl back in bed.....not a good thing. Better get my Bible out and read our Father's words for motivation.

Oh, i forgot to mention, I think I did very well on my art test! We'll see on Thursday but I felt very good about it. The last thing we had to do was see a slide of a picture and identify the artist, time period, and describe the significance of the painting. I knew the time period and movement and I had a choice of 4 artist's and I got it right, it was Seurat! Sometimes tests freak me out so I'm happy when I do well.

Michelle- Sounds like we had the same thing! Yesterday I had chills, fever,(low grade), stomach ache, and dull headache. I took the day off, but am feeling better today.

Sherry- I. too couldn't find your previous email; glad to hear your Lasix is working; from one nurse to another, don't forget to take your Lasix! God will work out your financial needs; glad you are only working M-W-F and no evenings/weekends. Working all the time can be so exhausting, especially in Nursing. I will pray for your new office and new boss/schedule person as sometimes they can really be something else.

On a diet note, I have just gone back to eating 3 meals a day, and 3 snacks. After a few weeks, my blood sugar really dropped and for me, I needed to actually have something to chew!

Good evening to all I call my one speicalist and got the results of my MRCP and it does show a cyst on my liver and my kidney it also show something on my upper spine. For you nurses out there any advice for me? I also have cysts on both ovarys. I think part of the problem is I have been passed from speicalist to speicalist and I only see them one or two times most of the time it was right before the procdure they were doing so there is no follow up. And each specialist was just looking at stomach and the other things were found while looking for other things. The second speicalist it treating me for chronic pain He thinks that I have several things causing pain and that it builds until my body just can't take it anymore. HELP..............

Wilma-I know what you mean about not getting much done around the house I hate to admit it but I still have my winter village up! (it is real big and detailed)

Well there is peace tonight at home because my oldest DD is at the fiance house. YEAH!!!!!!

Mitchy glad to hear you did well on your test. Sorry you also are not feeling well, and hope your soon feeling better. I allow one day to eat whatever I want no matter how bad, that way you just gotta get to that day, not wait forever. Don't worry just start again, and with God's help we will all get there. Claudette- Thanks for the prayers for pastor. Glad to hear your feeling better today, there is so much sickness around. Sami- well at least you know what your dealing with, now you have to get the schedule time to talk to them about how best to deal with this, not just be passed from doc to doc. Do you have a primary doctor that you could talk to to , if so schedule and apt. and tell him, that you would like answers, as to what courses of treatment are open, pray your soon on the mend. I don't know how you do it ! that many teenagers, oh my! You do deserve a hand. God bless everyone else. Havew agreat day!!Sue

HI LADIES-- Sorry for no posts since last Saturday-- I was posting, the computer had been real slow for a few days- thought it was the server-- anyway the wife came in from running and wanted to go to breakfast so I sent part of my message so I wouldn't lose it---WELLLLLL-- when I tried to finish the computer froze. My wife spent all day Sunday trying to fix it only to be denied! The son of a close friend of mind is trying to establish his computer trouble shooting business so I had him come over-- long story shorter, after 3 nights after work, 11 hours of working on it and a few hundred Washingtons--I'M BACK :D From what I understand-- and that is very little!-- we had a Trojan Horse virus or something that didn't ruin much but slowed everything down that things would crash.

Glad to see progress being made Sue and Michele in the weight dept. Sami-- don't you just hate those high screeching little girl voices:lol: Seriously they are annoying but hey ya gotta love it 'cause they grow up soooo fast as you know!! As far as teenage girls--- I'll take the boys!!

My dear daughter has won 3 tennis matches this week so it has been fun again for her!! It also is much more enjoyable spending time with her when she is happy and not dissapointed. The Air Force Academy was in town but only the boys team played.

Well gotta head off to work-- short day then I have some water damage to take care of on a house our church owns-- it will probably be alot of drywall repair for me -- right up my alley!

Hello to all Christian encouragers,
I wrote my primary care DR. and told him about my concerns and I faxed it with a copy of my MRCP. Now I will wait and see if he calls and answers my questions. The new meds I am on make me soooooooo tired. But I still woke up at two. I guess it will take time to work right.

EZ-We went through the same thing and we had the TROJAN horse. My DH of course blamed me because I get all this forwarded emails from my friends. The virus would cause all these pop ups to happen and freeze up the computer. It cost a pretty penny to get it fixed and now we even have the no POP up program installed!

Doitforme-My friend and I were talking the other day and I was telling her about how I have been feeling. She sent me an article about women and heart attacks and a lot of what I am feeling is listed as eary warning signs of heart attack and my family history is My father Died at 47 of a heart attack. So I am going to talk to my primary DR about that.

Hi guys,

I had bad news today regarding the lump i had. They ended up taking more tissue and stitching me up again. It's a type of skin cancer and it's shook me up a little. Could I please ask for prayer. I'm trying to not worry too much about this. She said there is a chance they got it all the first time but if this tissue shows cancer I'm not sure what I'll have to do but there will be more treatment. I'm trying to learn about it on webmd, etc., and it seems to be very uncommon and not deadly but I'm still a little scared. Thanks!

I was hoping to find some other Christians on here to encourage, share and pray for one another! I look forward to getting to know all of you. Michele I am sorry to read about your cancer... guess you will be my very first person here to pray for!!

Welcome Dance 4joy- Good to have you! These guys are all awesome and always dependable with a word of praise or support, and always for prayers. Sami- I am very happy you decided to check this out with your Dr. it is important that all bases are covered including knowing what is going on, and how they intend to treat it. There are alot of things that can produce early signs of heart attack, but much better questions and having it looked into. As always your in my prayers. Mitchy- lots of prayers coming your way, sorry to hear about the cancer, just the word is scary, thank goodness we have someone to put peace in our lives. I am also happy to hear it is considered treatable, make sure to keep us posted. Hi to everyone else, Zoe where are you, I thought this was a 1 week cruise. I am really jealous now ha ha ha. I have been mulling around this site looking at different threads and have chatted on a few. I keep feeling like I am not gettin much out them...well of course it would be they are not all like minded. Of course the Lord tells us to to do this. I commend you all for having this thread and would like to join on in...A little of my story... married 13.5 years...4 kids under the age of 9...2 dogs...live in Fairbanks AK (one year now) joined WW 1/2/03 and have lost 15 lb and striving to loose alot more...Can I assume we all are loosing weight or is this just a chat room. I will lift you ladies up in prayer taht are struggling with sickness or the lack of knowlege of what is wrong. Take care and God Bless

Freezing rain here! Yuck Glad to hear your feeling better mitchy-
Welcome Sherree- Most of us are still trying to lose weight, some of us even are manageing too! This thread offers lots of things great support to lose weight, as well as christian love where if you have a prayer request or sickness these guys take that to heart and pray about the issue for you, it pretty much is what you make of it. We are all laid back. Hope this helps, most of us here are not computer savy, I know little so I will be no help there. If what your looking for is support you will find no better then these ladies and our guy E.Z. They are there to lift you up dust you off and keep ya going, no matter what crosses your path. Well it is an absolutely beautiful day here in southern California!! We are expecting some rain next week but this morning it is just gorgeous-- sorry Sue (doitformeSue).

My daughter won her 4th match in a week yesterday!!:cp: She was very happy!! Her win really helped her team-- they are ranked 4th in the nation in their small college division. My ex-wife and I are riding together for her match today since it is a couple hours away-- my nephew has his wrestling championships today, although he is just in the exhibitions and my step-D has her first try-outs for high school softball ( sprained ankle from soccer and all ) busy around here today. The newspaper notified me that they would like to do a story in the alumni sports section of the paper on my so-- with his going to college for a degree in teaching, coaching at the local high school and sporting goods job etc. Pretty proud here-- they are not sure when, they just want an o.k.

I am looking around the coast here to see if ZOE has washed ashore:lol:

WILMA, SAMI, SHERRY, JOANNE--WHERE ARE YOU? It has been a busy week for all I guess.

Our Church services were cancelled do to bad weather! We go 8 in of snow since about 4 pm yesterday. I am worried about going to work tomorrow I have to make it in somehow because I do the payroll for 350 people and they don't take to kindly if I don't make it in on time!

My inlaws left this afternoon and my boys are home for the weekend but out for the afternoon and DH is on the road again so I have the house to myself. It seems so quiet and I thought I would like it but I don't. Oh well, I'll get used to it again. I had a great visit with all of them and am sad to see them go home.

At least with this company here I stayed away from the munchies. I bought lots of romaine today and plan to get back into the salads this week. I also am finally getting some energy back to do my exercises. Knowing that doing them will give me even more energy makes me look forward to them.

Zoe: Glad to see you back! Are you nice and tanned and relaxed now? I'm so glad that you did well weight wise and that you had a great time.

Sami: I'm so sorry about the snow. 8 inches! Wow! A lot of digging to do. Way to go on the 1 lb. loss. I am also praying that the doctors will be able to fix what's broken in your body.

Gary: We have lots of sunshine here too but in Canada sunshine also means cold weather. It's still in the minus 20C range but should be warming up soon. If you would just blow a little harder it would reach us up here.

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT WEEK--END AND LORD'S DAY !!

I didn't make it to church today or last night:( My daughter's tennis match ran too late and the ex and I were 2 hours away-- my wife went for me:lol: Then this morning my wife and I did another 5K-- the first since Thanksgiving. We did O.K.-- we had a little over 14 minute miles which is our norm-- if we finish the 3.1 miles in under 45 minutes ( if we are walking ) we are content-- the course today was 1 mile downhill then 2.1 uphill-- one of the more difficult ones we do.

My daughter did o.k. in her matches-- lost 8-8 with a tiebreaker 7-9 in doubles then won 6-3, 6-3 in singles-- she really had a tough doubles match and lost to a much weaker opponent-- the other girls had my DD and her partner on their heels the whole match-- credit to the opponet!!

SUE AND SAMI-- Here is the :) again-- I am sorry to say I think I have lost my touch. Sue I am glad you were able to get to church and work in spite of the weather, you are a real trooper and a good friend to this post!! Sami, I soooo wish for your troubles inside you to be over and a very Happy wedding ahead!! Don't worry--- of course I do!!-- about the weather and getting to work, we will be praying for you.

WILMA The boys were home huh? what a comfort!! I know it is sad when company that you enjoy leaves-- why do the ones you don't stay?:lol: ZOE --Hey girl 1 pound is awesome!!! Claudette- Joanne mitchy pray all is well with you! I watched the new show dragnet on ABC last night and they had a women that was born again dipicted as a sister in one of their investigations. The lead detective Joe Friday made some snide , awful, remarks about being born again. They also made her out to be on the fringe of reality because of her beliefs. This irritated me so I e-mailed ABC network to let them know my displeasure. Probably will do no good, but made me feel better. This is a trully different world Christians are certainly open targets now, which is sad. Well gotta run check in later God Bless!

Good Tuesday Morning!

Well, it has gone from the 70's to a snow/ice storm. Crazy weather here in Texas. As a result, we have no water this morning. We're waiting for the water dept to come check. They have the road all torn up on our block, including right in front of our house, doing road repairs and I am afraid that with those pipes exposed to the elements, it did something out there. :yikes: So we are waiting. The office has a delayed opening until 10am so we aren't in a rush to get ready and out the door.

Sue ~ I saw that episode of Dragnet too and when Friday made his remark, I remember thinking that it was stupid remarks and wondering how the TV show could say things like that. Good for you for writing to the network!!

ARGHHHH--I just posted a long one and lost it to never never land! My son came home from school just as I was expressing myself over it and just laughed-- said something about doing something else and pasting? I don't get it and he can't help me now as he is off to coach.

SUE (doitforme) I didn't see that dragnet-- my wife didn't like the show that much when we saw it a few weeks ago so we decided not to watch it-- personally I didn't think the show was that bad but she did. I totally agree with what you saw and you did the right thing.Too much of the time we just sit back and do nothing!! I am so proud of you for taking a stand.

ZOE Get ready girl-- we are having alot of cold rain here and it is headed your way-- sorry. Isn't it a hassle when we don't have power and water? Sure glad I didn't live in the old days!!

SUE (dance for joy) My sister in-law just moved recently from Seattle area--Mercer Island. I love it up that way-- in the summer-- I have a small interest to retire in Squim. I have friends there and I really love the town and surrounding area-- especially Hurricane Ridge and port Townsend.

Gary, I'm not hiding! :p I just didn't have time to post until now. But glad you are checking up on me....;)

I'm feeling a little better today and made it to school for my 3 classes but I didn't have to bowl today which is good because I wouldn't have. I'm still very sore there, not healing well, it was bleeding a little today too. But I get the stitches out and hope to report good news tomorrow.

I had a really wonderful experience just awhile ago. Some people who I know from doing Alpha and my cousin asked me to come over for prayer and the 4 of us prayed for healing. I got very very warm while they layed hands on me and I have faith that I can handle whatever happens. It was really nice of them to do.

I'm not really OP today but glad I'm getting an appetite back.

Time to go lay down......

Blessing this cold and winter day! (at least here in Indy) I am so happy I drank lots of water and I have been OP all day! I have been really praying about it and feel it is making a change.

Hi All! I just finished my dinner and decided to join you here for a few minutes. I said good-bye to my son today. He's heading back to school after a short break. I miss him already! (He's the reason I didn't post yesterday - he sleeps near the computer and I didn't want to wake him) He and I had a pleasant evening together last night. He helped me pick out a new VCR although he would have preferred a DVD player. I need the VCR to play my walking tapes which I will begin either later this evening or tomorrow morning. The DVD will come later!!

I've been doing much better with my WOE and see a light at the end of the tunnel. I have 30 lbs. to lose and it's taking me ages. I still faithfully take my salad to work and am still finding my evenings the worst. I have decided to get the quilt I was working on finished - don't want to get food stains on it. :dizzy:

Well, laundry is calling me so I better get going. Have a great day and keep away from the snacks!!

---HI LADIES

Hope all is well with you. Went out to dinner tonight-- to our local Soup Plantation. It was a fundraiser for our 8th grade class at church/school-- they are going to Washington D.C. We also treated one of our/my son's friends as he is heading out on his ship this week-end, he is in the Navy.

Thanks for the prayers with my step-d, I made an attempt to correct our anger and she responded. We are taking our first steps towards healing!! Yes she is a teen-ager, however, the problem has always been a lack of respect for the rules in this house and a lack of respect towards her mom. It really doesn't matter to me what she feels about me but I can't stand it when she treats her mom like crap until she wants something. This has been an 8 year battle for me-- she is 15, anyhow, we are starting over.

Just like the weight programs-- no matter how many times you fail as long as you are alive you can start over----so chop-chop!!

I have been working on a house (donation) that our church owns, alot of rain damage to the drywall-- my brother and I covered the roof and repaired the damage and re-textured the house.

WILMA There is alot of light at the end of that tunnel. Keep up with the salads and your walking!!

SAMI I am so glad you are doing better! I also am sorry it is so cold for you. I really don't know how you guys do it-- if it gets in the low 50's here we are frozen!

MICHELE I have never been involved with the laying on of hands but I do know our good Lord can work wonders through anything He chooses! I am so glad you are doing better-- we will continue to pray!

Good Wednesday Morning y'all ~

Do any of you realize that me, Zoe, am here typing this during the weekday workday? Well, I'm home. We have had a severe winter storm here ~ some snow but lots of ice and not hardly a car is out on the road. Of couse, me, from the northeast, can venture out and not think anything of it. The people here in Texas just don't know how to act in this weather. Our offices have a delayed opening until 10am and I will try to leave soon but I can bet that most won't show today.

I'm sorry that I've been scarce here lately. I have been still trying to get myself back into the swing of things since vacation. Also with my eating. Yes, I'm having a hard time keeping within my points after all that eating I did on my cruise. Hopefully, I won't have another gain come Saturday and maybe lose that pound I took on.

Just wanted to say hello and say that although I'm not posting much, I think and pray for you all ~

I did not get the results back from the doctor today :( She's going to call me asap. I did get my stitches taken out, thank God, feels much better and they put steristrips and gave me antibiotics because it was not healing well and the beginnings of infection. I also had another lump removed from the top of my foot.

I felt well enough to work out afterwards! Yeah :) Very tired during the workout but I did atleast half an hour.

I have bible study tonight and looking forward to that...
