Just had to stop in and share my news..... Thin... you better sit down first.
Okay.. now that Thin won't fall down when she faints.....

I EXERCISED !!!! :strong: :dancer:

I had the the Richard Simmons "Sweat and Tone" tape that includes exercising with rubber bands. Unfortunately.. my tape used longgggggg bands ... and I had only short ones.
I could have used that as an excuse not to exercise because I could not do the exercises he was doing. BUT I DIDN'T. I just did the best I could with what I had. :D

I think although it was not glamous... it is the best gift I could have given myself.
I did my first exercise. :cp:
Plus... I could justify getting back on here ... to brag.

My daughter sent me this quote... thought I would share it with you. I hope it is true.
"The more you sit and do nothing... the more you WANT to sit
The more you get up and MOVE the more you want to move."

Oh, 2cute, that is the best gift that you could give yourself!!! Not only the exercise itself, but the feeling of accomplishment that comes with it! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!! :high:

Has anyone else noticed that we all seemed to have kicked it into high gear lately? Group therapy...group support, whatever...I LIKE IT!!

Is anyone chatting tonight? I can probably get there around 8:00 est. (Since I don't have to work!)

Lucky, are you buried up there? Aren' t there any hunky plow guys that can dig you out?

Sandy, good for you to stand up to MIL!! Why do people have to make stupid comments like that?

Donna, I was thinking of you as I put my bra on today. You don't put one on to exercise? Aren't the girls flapping in the breeze? :dizzy:

Baylee...thanks for the info on mono. I have been taking it easy. (No exercise) I definitely feel a bit better this afternoon, but my glands are still swollen and throat is sore. I am hungry, having a craving for mashed potatoes! Did you get any of that white stuff that's tormenting Lucky?

Duckie...good luck on WI tomorrow...I see that you just passed your year anniversary...almost 50 lbs lighter! What a great feeling that must be! You go girl! What an accomplishment!

Michelle...I'm glad you'll get a little breather before next semester! You need some time off girl! Come back when you can!

J-ann...how did your friends do in the Westminster doggy show? I LOVE watching that! Although I can't ever imagine my big, dumb lug of a Lab ever being that well trained!

Mary, sounds like you had some fun shopping! I'm not shopping for anything til I've lost at least 30 lbs. Then again, I could just shop in my closet for clothes that have been waiting patiently for me to be able to get back into them!

Thin...what's happening in your neck of the woods? That was a great answer that you gave to Tina...and no, nobody thinks you're crazy................

Sara, don't tease...come on down and fill us in on what the skinny people are doing this time of year! (Extra layers for you to put on this year!) A sacrifice I'll gladly make!

Tina...where are you?? Aren't you off for several days?? Doesn't that mean we'll be seeing lots more of you (and Tony) here? I hope so. I love your posts!

Well. I'm gonna go make those mashed taters now. :T I'll check the chat room later. See ya!

THERE IS GONNA BE GREAT BIG APPLAUSE FOR 2CUTE AND SANDY TODAY:cp: :cp: :cp: :cp: :cp: :cp:

Sandy: Let me tell you honey, us menopause women are **** on wheels sometimes and the #%$^ thing does go on for years. I am just at the beginning and my symptoms started 4 years ago believe it or not. I don't want you to climb on top of the house and jump off now, just a friendly warning! I am so really really proud of you. I think you have "seen the light." It is kind of amazing when it happens isn't it? It sure was for me. I think we set ourselves up in our heads that we are going to fail again, but when we don't do that and are really positive, man something in your ole brain takes over and off you go. As to mil or anyone else that tries to sabotage it (and intentionally or not that is what it is), you have to take it with a grain of Splenda (salt's not good for you) and ignore it. In the end, she will be going around saying to everyone how proud she is of her dil and what she accomplished like she whacked the fat off of you herself. Just wait and see!

2cute: What a great way to spend a birthday, doing something good for yourself. Way to go. I have the RS tape and bands too, but keep telling dh to get the darn vcr hooked up so I can do toning two days a week. If he does not get his behind in gear, I am gonna just put on a CD of Franki Valli and do a routine myself.

Hey, J-Ann it is nice to see you post! We miss you when you can't be here!

Baylee: I keep forgetting to tell you how much I lovvvvvveeee your name! I have this thing for boy/girl names anyway. Of course, I am of the age when if women wanted unusual names for their daughters they named them Summer or Patience or Sunflower or Poppyseed or something. I love the Madisons and Baileys and stuff like that. My dh wanted to name our daughter Faye which is my middle name and I hate, but he named the boy after himself when I wanted him to be named Jason so I got to name Kelly.

Duckie, Mary and Sara: Just wanted to be sure and say hi to you
guys too!

Tina: Hey girl, Hope the ole Home Depot guy is still doing ok! How long have you been interested in racing and who got you hooked?

We ended up having subs for dinner. I had a 1/2 roast beef with no cheese all veggies and brown mustard. I always get hot peppers too because it makes you want to eat less of it AND did you know that hot peppers can help with weight loss? I read something about there being something in peppers that help with weight loss, so get out those jalepenos girls! I happen to love jalepenos, so it's not hard for me to eat.

Well, I want to get a hot shower. My scrumptious little indian of a grandson wore me out playing Nonny monster and Bologna. Ok, ok, I know you are dying to know what the heck kind of games they are. Well, Nonny monster is easy. He calls me Nonny (Nanny and Donna combo) and I pretend to be a monster and chase him around and around the house and hide and jump out at him etc. Bologna is his favorite. How this came about was one day I told him he was full of bologney and he said to eat him. Well again I chase him around trying to get the bologna and when he let's me catch him and eat him, then we have to go through this routine of letting him up and repeating with each time he puts something else on him like, "Nonny, put some mustard on me" and then it is mustard and onions, etc until he runs out of things to put on him. It poops an old fat woman out.

You guys have a good evening and if I can, I will try and chat, but don't hold you breath. I will probably be there and gone, there and gone, etc.

Donna

Hi Ladies,

Drove to work this morning in a blizzard. In and out of blowing 3" an hour snow. NOT the way I like to start my day. On top of that I left my purse at home (forgot to grab it when I brought the shovel to the porch) so I had to wear my old glasses, that I keep at work for emergencies, all day. Then the sun came out this afternoon and the roads are plowed. Much easier trip home. We had 57 wild turkeys at the bird feeders at dusk. They scarfed up all the fallen seed then paraded into the woods to roost in the pines. Actually we've lucked out weather wise. Just north of us it's snowed all day 2.5 ft., and it's still coming down.:o

KAT: My friends dog was the keeshond. Made it down to the last six in its group. We were all thrilled. She clooks so cute all cleaned up. I'm used to seeing her at agility class where it was usually muddy and wet. It's amazing what a "good bath" can do for a dog... or a person for that matter.:)

OOH DONNA: That sub sounds GOOD! Maybe I have one tomorrow.

2CUTE: EXERCISE? You exercised on your B'Day? HURRAY!!!!! It's a Miracle!!!

SANDY: OP for 3 weeks. Me thinks you're really getting the hang of this. YOU GO GAL!

TINA: Sooo, when is the next time you get to watch the big guy drive around in circles? Or is that ovals?

SARA: OMG girl! 124 lbs!!!!!! FANTASTIC! You are so strong. Be PROUD. You've done this for yourself but you've inspired so many of us Chickies along the way. THANKS! :bravo:

MICHELLE: Hope you're getting those papers done. It's tough now but you'll never regret getting that education.

OK...gotta head for the Y. I know I've missed responding to a lot of you but remember, I love you all! :grouphug:
