  • My breakfasts don't vary a whole lot, typically I eat either

    a) oatmeal (steel cut oats) with a light dusting of protein powder (to sweeten it), with a VERY generous amount of cinnamon and equally generous amount of berries - usually strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or red currants [any or all of the above, depending on what I have]).

    b) 2 slices of prebiotic bread with an omelet made from one whole whole egg and decent amount of egg whites, with saueed onion and some turkey sausage.

    c) 2 slices of prebiotic bread with fish (i mash a can of sardines, add some greek yogurt, mustard, Laughing Cow wedge if I have one, etc., sometimes a bit of butter.

Regardless of what I eat I always flush it down with copious amounts of coffee (with lots of 1% milk and splash of agave extract as a sweetener).

I would not leave house without breakfast. While I am not outright hungry immediately after I get up (at 6:30 am) if I don't eat, my stomach would be making very loud noises by the time I get to work (8:30 am). I tend to go from barely hungry to I-have-to-eat-NOW really quickly.
  • Quote: I seem to recall explaining all of this in the IF thread not too long ago.
Now that you mention it - I do remember. Certainly IF is not for everyone!
  • I have essentially the same thing everyday:

1 scoop whey protein powder (vanilla usually) 90 cal
1 C no sugar added almond milk (choc or vanilla) 45 cal
1 C of frozen fruit or veggies or mix (my fav right now is blueberry&pumpkin)~75cal
  • I have a hard time of breakfast. I work in a kitchen, so I have access to a lot of stuff.
I usually have a cup of sweetened oatmeal, and lately have been having a two or three pancakes as well. Shame on me! I usually eat other little things too, like a piece of bread
  • I typicaly eat the same thing every weekday - 2 hardboiled eggs with tea. If I am in a rush I'll grab a fiber bar. I LOVE varying the kinds of tea. I have this vanilla rum flavor with a dash of milk and sweetner that tastes AWESOME, especially on a nice fall day.

On weekends, I like a bigger breakfast. Two scrambled eggs, or a huge egg white omlette, plus an English muffin, butter and jam, maybe a little serving of fruit. I am always starving when I wake up, but my calories for bkfst never go over 350 (typically around 200-250).
