You know what though?
Those "before" photos will soon become something you really like to look at to see how far you've come. If you can (which I can't!), use them as motivation. If not, put them away for 3 months and then take more pics and compare. Trust me, it feels great to see how much better you look!!
At least you realize now. It can be hard to tell sometimes. I didn't even notice I gained ten pounds at first.
This is definitely me. Even though I know I'm overweight, whenever I see photos of myself it absolutely doesn't match my mental image. I definitely think this only helped me gain weight. I wonder if this means that once we reach our goal weights we'll have less of an issue with adjusting to thinking of ourselves as slender.
I soooo relate....when I stand in front of the mirror I think I don't look so bad....and then I see a picture that might have been taken without my knowledge (no sucking it in or hiding behind someone else)...omg....I look horrible. Is this how others see me...of course it is. I took some pics this week of my "before" since I only started my weight loss journey a 11 days ago. I can't wait to look at those pics as the "old" me.
I am so sorry. i TOTALLY understand. I've wanted forever to get professional family pictures, and I finally sucked it up. The pictures were SO GOOD...and I was SO BIG. :-( It rocked my world. But you know what? Those are my official BEFORE photos now.
