  • Everyone's a critic. Everyone will tell you that your weight is too low, too high, that you aren't doing the "right" plan, that you are eating too much, too little, don't get anorexic on them, yada yada.

Don't pay them any mind and just thank them for their concern and keep on going- don't let them doubt yourself. 143 is perfectly fine.
  • Thanks to all for your wonderful support and advice!!

I have learned much from you and I have made a few decisions.

    1. I am keeping my goal but I have decided to be flexible about it as I get closer. I learned this from you all. Thank You!

    2. If asked again what my target weight is I am going to reply "I will decide that number when I get closer to a normal weight"

    3. What ever number I decide on as I get closer I will discuss with my doctor to make sure that he agrees it would be healthy weight for me.

    4. If I find it very difficult to maintain I will discuss it with my doctor again and I will be willing to make healthy adjustments.

Above all I will keep my positive attitude!!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ~Herm Albright, quoted in Reader's Digest, June 1995

    Larry,
  • I will just add, that for Larry to have lost 70 pounds in 4 months is amazing progress. Don't get discouraged if it does slow down, that is normal and you can see from my own chart that the first pounds were the quickest. You have to grind them off one at a time when you approach goal.
