Can I pull off a bikini?
 

I went back and forth with myself about doing this but I really need some opinions (don't want to embarrass myself). Do you all think I can wear a bikini to the beach/pool and not look too horrible in it and get looks of disgust?

I have some photos below from the other day. I'm wearing a cheap bikini I picked up last summer from Wal-mart. It's too big now so the bottoms are quite saggy in the back LOL. Please excuse the crap in the background. I was in the process of cleaning up and something prompted me to try on the bikini.

Thanks everyone! One minute I tell myself I look ok in the bikini, then the next i feel like I'm lying to myself LOL. It's kind of weird because last year I was 20 pounds heavier and wore this same bikini proudly.

Probably because last year you were so happy to be able to fit smaller sizes, being more fit and were just happy to even slightly be able to pull it off. This year, as you are getting really close to goal (and is your goal even realistic?), you are probably seeing your imperfections... the things that aren't quite perfect 'yet' (and, btw, even at goal you will find things you wish were different) and so this year you are being harder on yourself. Last year was, "Look how far I've come!" This year it's, "Look how far I have to go." mentality.

The latter is not a healthy mentality. You have come far, you are doing great... just keep up the healthy lifestyle and be proud of yourself and your body, lumps and all. That kind of confidence is the sexiest of all.
