Good Morning!
It seems like forever since I've posted. For someone who is alone these days I seem to be keeping busy!! I have some packing done and am finding it hard to know what to keep out and what to pack. My sons and DH are going to be home for Christmas so i have to keep out a lot of my kitchen stuff. The depressing thing is that I'm not putting out any decorations for Christmas. I am spending a lot of time at friend's houses and enjoying their decorations. I also play a lot of christmas music and watch Christmas specials so I am finding the spirit anyway.
I maintained my weight again this week which I am thankful for because I kind of overdid it. Now, I'm back to salads at lunch and nutritious dinners. Have a great day. |
Hey everyone....been shopping again. And eating out but guess what??? I'm staying on track. Oh thank you Lord, thank you, thank you for Your strength. I couldn't have gotten this far without you....
Hope y'all are doing well. Wilma ~ great to see you again. Me <>< |
TUESDAY NIGHT
HELLO EVERYBODY--
JUST A QUICK NOTE--- WELCOME BACK WILMA!! JUST FOR THE RECORD YOU GUYS---- I DID NOT GET YELLOW SPIKES-- MY ENGLISH AINT THAT GOOD I GUESS!! I WANTED TO SAY THE NEPHEW GOT YELLOW SPIKES TO MATCH HIS NEW SWEATER-- WE BOTH GOT HAIRCUTS BUT ME NO SPIKES!! Got the nephew's report card today-- much better-- 1A-3B's-2C+ and 1D+---his citizenship was WAY better than the first report-- all the teachers except 1 gave him positve report marks for conduct and effort. I told him how proud I was that he is making great progress--he tried out for wrestling team today-- time will tell if he sticks with it. My son and I are really trying to encourage him. The wife and I keep getting calls congratulating us on our progressive dinner-- it sure is nice to know they liked it!!! Just more points for Heaven  just kidding!~! By Grace through Faith we go through our Savior!!! Well gotta get the trash out-- ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH HIM!!! P.S. WE HAVE TWO POSTS GOING WITH 159!! HI SAMI-- ( she is on the other one-- go say hi gals) |
Hey Sherry great minds think alike! We both started a new post! My dd has strep again! She just got over it less than 10 days ago this is the 3rd time since aug. If she comes down with it again before march we are going to ENT. She has had strep about 6 times a year since she was born so it is time to do something about it. Wilma I wish I lived close I would loan you a few small decorations to cheer you up.
ez-What a diffrence you have made in the life of your nephew. You have planted the seed and God will keep it growing. Zoe-Keep on posting you are giving me the will to keep trying. I think I have lost about 5lbs but I will not WI until after christmas. I am working on me a new diet I am starting after the 1st of the year I know if I start now I will fail and give up do to goodies for the holidays. I getting to the point that almost everything I eat just kills me. (I think that is why I have lost the weight) So I am going on a NO spice, NO sugar, NO red diet. I will eat things like oat meal turkey subs and I am going to do NO caffine. I hope to get my tests back soon. Have a blessed day, Sami |
Hi Kids!
I am tired just from catching up on all those posts. Thanks for all the sunshine E.Z. and congrats on your dinner, and the great job you continue to do with your nephew. Sami sorry to hear your still not feeling well, I keep you in my prayers. Zoe I will pray for your mom, even though it is already Tuesday and she probably has her reports. Hello to Mrs. Hummer and Gutchie, Wilma congrats on your job, way to go! I have been so busy the last week. The pastor introduced me to a friend of his that was up from Ocean city New Jersey. He was a really nice guy, we all went out as a group to red lobster, which of course was yummy. We then had a Christmas party the next night. Then I had to clean the church on Sat. Dad had skin cancer removed on Monday. I had to host an advisory board Christmas party last Thursday. One day just melts into the next. Glad to hear all are in the Christmas spirit, and are decorating ect. Sorry I been gone so long, I'll try to be better. Really tired I will check back in tom. God bless Love yas
|
Sue so glad to hear from you. I know just what you mean about the days melting together. We got snow last night and today will be the first time my DS will drive in it talk about stress!!!! A lot of prayers are going up on his behalf. I think I told you about a member of our church who had cancer of the heart. He is hanging in there they only thought he would live about 2-4 weeks and it has been about 9 He is in a lot of pain and now they have maxed the insurance out and have to pay out a large amount. Please keep them in your prayers. Sue I will keep your father in prayers for his skin cancer. I am lifting you all in prayer for and OP day!

Happy Humpday!
Good Morning Friends!!!
First, I have to say sorry to SAMI about starting another post! I didn't see yours, I'm so sorry. I just knew 158 was getting way too long. :sorry: I hope you will forgive me. SAMI~ Hope as you read this you are feeling better. :grouphug: Sounds like you have your hands full. Your poor DD! That strep can be bad. My daughters have both had it in the last 6 weeks, I hope this is no indication of what is to come. Put that DS in God's hands to put a hedge around and protect him from harm as he drives on the snow. Just remind him to take it slow and realize when he is on ice he has basically NO control. Mom, it will be ok. Remembering your church member with the CA of the heart, remembering he and his family at this time. Hang in there Sami and hope you get some news that will help you soon. Glad you are losing but sorry it has to be in this matter. We love you!!! JOANNE~Glad to hear you have met a new friend and having some fun. We will keep your Dad in our prayers that he heals well and has no problems from his SC. I understand the busyness and the fading from one day to another. Me too. Some days I think I have help making it through. ZOE~ How is your Mom doing today? Has she heard anything yet or is it the waiting game? Still shopping huh? Wow, you must have lots of money, or maybe did? GARY~ I didn't think you got the yellow spikes, or at least I was thinking not. Sounds like you are doing a GREAT job with your nephew. Praise God for you and your wife and devoting your time and patience with him. There's so many that won't. We have an 11 yr old nephew that I wish we lived closer to that I could help with. His mom did drugs while pregnant, basically mentally and physically abused him when he was young and then when he was 4 tried to choke him to death. My dear SIL and husband adopted him and are raising him to the best of their ability. It's really hard since they are older, (53/62). He's a great Christian kid but he has a lot of behavior problems from the drugs during pregnancy and the abuse he remember much of it. It's really sad. His heart is gold though. My SIL home schools him and he is far ahead of others his age. So, it is working for him. Sorry to ramble, but I said all that to say, I admire you and your wife in taking on and helping him so much. You are his blessing for sure. Have a good Wednesday. WILMA~ So good to hear from you!!! We have missed you! I'm sure it's hard to know exactly what to pack and what not to. Just label the boxes well, so if you need something you can find it easily. LOL It's good you are spending a lot of your time with friends now and enjoying their decorations. Too bad you don't have just a little 2 ft Christmas tree that you could decorate just for you. Then you could just slide it into a box and not even have to take off the decorations. I have one like that!! [b]Hello to EVERYONE!!! Hope EVERYONE has a GREAT day!!! Sorry, I must get ready for work. Talk with you soon. |
Hello! I hope everyone is off to a great start today. I got up this morning and did my walking tape and then had a nice breakfast. Today we're having a turkey dinner at school so I won't be eating much after school! Tonight I'm relaxing - doing some quilting while I watch Amazing Race. Tomorrow our ladies group is having a Christmas get together. I'm looking forward to it. I wont have many more times to get together with my friends. I'm finding as it gets closer to the big move that I'm getting much more emotional. I know that's normal but I know that I am going to miss many things about the small town I live in. On the other hand, I'll be closer to malls, etc :) :D
Mrshummer: i like your idea of a mini tree. I might just do that. I also have some mini lights on my artificial ficus and I will use my Christmas lines and candles so it won't be too dreary. sami: I'll pray for your friend. thanks for the reminder! I hope you do well with your diet. Are you doing this for health reasons? I have found that everything in moderation has been the best route for me. Then I don't feel deprived. If I plan to eat more at dinner I have a salad at lunch. Take care! doitforme: I'm keeping your dad in my prayers. This is a hard time to have to deal with illness. Gary: Come on - get yellow spikes and then send us a picture. Your nephew would feel more like part of the family. It sounds like you're doing really well with him. What a blessing to be able to help someone become the best they can be. Zoe: I'm so proud of you. Keep up the good work!! Well, I should look like I'm working. Have a wonderful day! |
would like christian email buddies -- new to message board, and don't know how much I'll check it -- it's a bit overwhelming, and could spend WAY too much time here in front of the computer --- but check my email lots. if interested, please email to [email protected] thank you and god bless!
PS - 28 years old, weigh 210 :( goal = 145 :) (need LOTS of encouragement!) |
Thursday morning
Good Morning Friends!!!!
WELCOME Shyla2001!!!! Hope everyone is doing well and just busy with the Christmas season Things to do. :dizzy: Just checking in before work this morning. I have been eating fairly well but maintaining at the same weight but it's also been TOM so I also gain excess fluid during that time. I had a bout with what I think was cysts rupturing on my left ovary last night and was in severe pain for about 2 hours. I used to have this happen about every 2-3 months but it hasn't in about 6 months. Boy was it bad last night!!! But this morning I am fine and have a little soreness but no real pain. Thank you Lord!!! Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!!! PLAN your meals and snacks so that getting off plan is NOT an option!! Drink your water!!! Come on team, let's beat this battle of the budge and show the old  whose team we are on!!!!! |

Mrs Hummer I think you were talking to me when you addressed it to Joaznne, and thanks for your prayers as well, Love the idea about the small Christmas tree, which should work well for Wilma.
Wilma thanks, so happy to hear things are settling down some, a little tree would add some holiday spirit. Shyla thanks for joining us, not much on e-mail but love this thread these guys are the best, so pull up a chair and hang out. it is contagious. E.Z. Saturday evening
Hello to EVERYONE!!!! Hope everyone is doing well. It's such a busy time of the year for everyone. I have been running through myself lately trying to keep up. I had my first Christmas party yesterday and it was a hoot. We played Chinese Christmas and had a ball!!! It was definitely good medicine for me. I laughed so hard!!! :D
I have been trying to make good choices with my eating but it is so hard when you don't know what others put into their dishes. I have to been so careful since I have so many food allergies. I have two more Christmas parties Thursday for my work and my DH. I have to take a dessert. At our party Friday we had a punch bowl cake. I had never heard of it. You take cool whip, vanilla pudding, thin slices of angel food cake and cherry pie filling and layer each over and over till you reach the top of the punch bowl. It's yummy and so colorful for Christmas! This could be made with fatfree/sugarfree items and would be a lowfat item. :cp: I think I will take it that night. GARY~ Survivor definitely needs to get rid of Clay but Ted wasn't a bad choice. I kinda thought it was time for him to go. But I KNOW it's time for Clay to go! :drill: doitforme~ Sorry about the mix up. I think I was still under the influence of the pain med I took the night before. Please forgive me!:sorry: Have fun Christmas caroling!!! I love that but we don't do it as much nowadays as we used to. Well, I guess I've kept ya'll long enough. I hope everyone has a good night and a GREAT Lord's Day!!!! :flow2: |
How's everyone doing? I just came from a wedding. I helped serve at the reception and my feet are sore! But, what a great feeling to do something nice for someone. The couple who got married have been living together and both have become Christians and decided God wanted them married. It was a very simple ceremony but beautiful nonetheless.
We finally heard about the possession date of our new house. We get to move in on January 4th!!!! This is subject to an inspection of the house but that shouldn't be a problem. This is so much sooner than we thought and we're so happy that we can start the new year in our new house. We are praising God for the way he has made the way smooth for us. Mrshummer: I hear you on the party food. It's so hard to stay away from it. Maybe if we have just a little we'll make it through the season. Exercising more will be right for me to. I agree with about Clay on Survivor. He needs to be out of there but maybe they'll keep him. It would be easy to win the money opposite hi. Gary: We're so happy that though you are so busy you still have time to connect with us. Please take some time for yourself. doitforme: I'm glad things went well for your dad. Keeping him in my prayers. Shyla: Welcome!!! Please come and talk to us whenever you can. I have lost 40 lbs. because of this crew and you can do it too. If you need lots of encouragement you've come to the right place. Hello to Sami, Gutchie, Zoe and everyone else. Tomorrow is our children's Christmas concert. I love going to them. |
Hello to all! Today is my children's concert I have so much to do. I got a call the other day my sister-in-law can't have christmas so now it is up to me. I don't really mind except I offered at thanksgiving and she said NO it my turn and now last minute she pulls this. So now I have to get with everyone and put together what everyone is to bring ect.... in all my spare time!
Shlya-a big welcome! We know how hard it is to lose but you will find support here! Wilma-YEAH I am so happy that you got the news on your house. That is a nice Christmas gift! Sherry-That punch bowl thing sounds good let me know how yours turns out. And I know your pain I also have the same pain mid cycle on my left side. They told me it was a cysts also and that I may go through this until I go through the big M. I guess I looking foward to it! Zoe how many pounds NOw? Ez-How did the party go? Sue-so glad your Dads scare is over! It is times like that we realize how speical everyday is. The Lord be with you today and praying for an OP day. Sami |
Sunday morning
GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL!
How is everyone this morning? I just got home fromworking and don't have enough time to get ready for church and get there, starts in 10 minutes. :( If I had planned better I would have gotten ready for church before I left to see my patients. :spin: SAMI~ I'm sure you will get everything together to have your Christmas at your house. I know you are stressing :stress: now but you will get it together and have a wonderful time. I hate those cysts!! They told me I need to have a hyst to remove my ovaries but . . . . I'm too fat. They said they wouldn't do the surgery unless I lost 100lbs. Of course that didn't bother them when they did the C-sections, 2 hernia surgeries, gallbladder and tubal. Now all of a sudden I'm too fat. :tape: I will let you know how the punch bowl cake turns out. You might want to make it for your Christmas. It looks pretty on a table. And my boss had also made little chocolate mice and put on top. It looked cute!! If you want to know how to make them, I can tell you. WILMA ~ I guess that is something to think about Clay staying. I don't think he would be much of a threat to the others. I think Helen and Brian are the strongest players left. Do you agree? I have been trying to get a little more exercise. Lord knows I did Tuesday when my DD and I went shopping all afternoon! :dancer: We went to the mall, Sam's, Walmart, Target, Academy, the Christian Book Store and Alco. Whew was I tired! GARY~ Hope you aren't working TOO hard to come see us every now and again. Don't over do it! ZOE, SUE, SHYLA, EVERYONE - Check in when you can, we miss hearing from you!!!! |
Happy Lord's Day everyone ~
This sure is a busy time of year. I just keep going and going and going......we had our annual company Christmas party Friday night and I wasn't happy that it was the night before my weigh in but what could I do :?: As it turned out, I only lost .8 but I guess losing anything at this time of year is good. There are foods and desserts ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! :( I hope I can survive the next few weeks. sami ~ Don't stress too much girl, you need your strength. :) I know you can do it and it will end up being fun. Oh and my total now is 29.8 ~ :D thanks for asking. Gary ~ Survivor and CSI were great, as usual. I think Thursday will be a good one for Survivor although we are having our annual Christmas get-together here at our house so I will have to tape it. I hope to be able to watch it BEFORE anyone let's the cat out of the bag. :^: Wilma ~ my vote for winning is Brian. :) Shyla ~ Welcome, welcome, welcome. Hi Sue, Gutchie and Sherry Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Me <>< |

Good Morning Friends!!!
How is everyone this morning? I just have a minute before I have to get ready for work. Busy, busy, busy..........but maybe I will have a little time this afternoon to come back. ;) I got a little extra work that I wasn't planning on yesterday so I never got here, sorry. But doesn't look like missed much. LOL Good to see you posting Sue! Thank goodness or I'd be talking to myself. Sue~ Glad to hear your Dad is on a Z pack and doing well. We continue to pray for him and your pastor. How is your pastor tolerating everything? At least he has one step down and moving to the next one. God's grace is sufficient. ZOE~ :Bravo: on your loss!!! I would say that you made your goal. Congratulations!!! And you did it in the middle of the holidays!! Wow, that will power! Or is it HIS power!!! :D Keep up the good work and check in when you can. Wilma~ How's the packing coming along? Have you got that little tree up yet? I think that is the perfect idea. I bet you feel a lot of relief to have a date and look forward to the New Year! ;) Sami~ How are things going getting ready for the gang for Christmas? I always enjoy having everyone over for the holidays but now I don't have any family close enough to come over for the day. Since all our family is in TN we usually go up there to visit. I miss it! So enjoy it for me!!! I bet you do wonderful! Gary~ Are you staying too busy to post? You must slow down long enough to post and rest. Come on Gary, s-l-o-w down a little. Shyla~ Come back and post with us. This really is a great bunch! Look forward to your posts! Hope EVERYONE has a good day and POSTS when they can!!! |
Hi Everyone!
Hoping everyone is doing well?
Yes I'm still here, yes I'm busy like the rest of you. I do the turkey dinner for my DH side of the family because to be honest they are mostly seniors and not able any longer. The grocery trip is the last item on my list and even the grocery stores are busy. Gee what is it, don't people eat any other time of the year? :dizzy: I'm battling the same pounds over and over again. I lose, I gain, I continue. I guess the continuing is the only good thing right now. I can eat very well during the meals the friends serve, its those gooie yummy squares doing me in. The New Year will see me get down right serious;) I'm thinking of all of you rushing about doing your thing and YES indeed, we shall remember HE is the reason for the season. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS !!!! God Bless each of you and yours. Sister Joanne In a winter Wonderland this morning in Ontario Canada. |
Hey Everyone!!!
I just had to check in and say hello to Sister Joanne. So hello! Glad to see you here. I understand about the eating problem.:cbg: I also am eating pretty good but all the extras!! My family has been wanting all the usual baking and cooking I do and I haven't given in yet. I am trying to resist the temptation to be the good wife and mother that I feel I should be. It's hard. Anyway, so good to hear from you. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. :cloud9: I weighed in this morning and I have lost TWO MORE LBS!!!!!! I don't know how with the way I have been eating but I will definitely take it. :lucky: That makes my total 20lbs since 11/14!!! Yay!!! Well, I gotta go make some cinnamon ornaments for my little DD's kindergarten class for Friday's Christmas party!!! :gift: Have a good afternoon!!! |
Way to go Sherry!! You are doing awesome!!
Gutchie: Good to see you again. i have always struggled with the same pounds. Hang in there. They do eventually leave. I got a lot of packing done on Saturday. I can't do much more because I still need some stuff. I'll pack up that stuff early next week. By then both my sons will be home and they can help. I'm so excited to have them home. DH will be home on Christmas eve. I can hardly wait to have my family together. I also wanted to update you on the fellow who was in the accident. He is doing amazingly well. He is recovering and is expected to come to our local hospital this week. I just hope that he had time to think about his eternity. I don't know where he stands but a scare like that would certainly get me thinking. Well, take care! Talk to you tomorrow. |

Hello everybody
What a week! I see that y'all have been busy posting here while I was gone. I've been so busy the last few weeks but more this week. Thursday is our annual Christmas get together here at the house so I have a million and one things to do. My daughter is coming from FL on Thursday too but Greg doesn't know it. We're going to surprise him. Sneaking, huh?? :s: Since I lost only .8 this last Saturday, I'm just a fraction away (.2)from 30 pounds lost. UGH! I guess losing ANYTHING during the holidays is good. Sherry ~ WTG on that loss. Keep up the good work. 20 lbs gone forever. :D Gary ~ I'm not really sure about Clay now. I do know that I'd love to see Brian take it all. As for CSI Miami, I didn't like it much at all but now that Delany is gone, I'm thinking I'll like it more. I just didn't care for her. No Zoe left huh?? I have about 22 more to go for goal. Wilma ~ your Christmas sounds like it's going to be so wonderful. Enjoy it! Joanne ~ don't fret over the "lose, gain, lose" thing during the holidays. Everywhere you look, food is getting pushed in our faces. They say that the average person gains about 7 pounds during the Christmas holiday. So if that is true, and me, not being AVERAGE, I now know why I usually gain 12. Hi Sami, Sue and Shyla (I sure hope I didn't miss anyone) Have a great Wedneday. Zoe <>< |
Hello to all! Yes it is busy busy busy I am so dead tired from all the stuff I need to get done. My son is in a show chior and they had there Christmas show. He is also in drama and they had thier show. The drama show was a wedding that went nuts I really didn't care for that much. Made fun of church ect.... My doctor called and they are sending me to a higher speicalist that does this speical tests it is an ERCP with something and there is only one place to have it done I go Jan 7th to talk to them. Please Pray that things go well. I am having trouble even eating now.

You keep up the good work! Joanne-As long as you are trying to lose your not gaining and gaining! And the new year is comming with great bargans on healthy foods! Shyla-How are you holding up this season? Praying for an OP day! Samu |
Wednesday
Good Morning EVERYONE!!!!!
How is everyone this morning? Please say a prayer for my family. We have a 15 yr old DD that is having a hard time with life right now. She and her Dad had words last night and I spent most of the night up with her. She is basically a good kid, we have raised her in church and she has good morals and standards and gets on to those that don't go to church, cuss, etc. But she has this boyfriend which my husband does not approve of. The boy treats her like a queen and I think she loves him on some level but my Dh wants her to break up with him. And she is stressed with school (finals) and made the mistake of while being grounded, got on the computer after we went to bed last night chatting. Long story but her dad heard something and walked down the hall to her bedroom, she had turned the computer screeen black and was almost in bed. Then DH came out and went and picked up the phone and of course she was online. Well, let's just say she knew better. After everything, she started talking very negative that she couldn't take anymore and that we would be better off without her. So, I stayed up with her talking with her and reading the Bible till she fell asleep and then I went to bed. I'm exhausted. We have never been faced with this type delemma. Please pray that the God will keep the evil  thoughts away from her that she is no good, and doesn't need to live. The  is really after her since she is weak right now. Bless her heart she looks so bad this morning. Her face and eyes are so swollen. My heart breaks for her, I remember my sessions as a teenager and how I felt like the whole world was against me. Please pray, it's so hard to watch as this all goes on. She is such a wonderful Christian girl!! She's always upbeat but that isn't there this morning. :( Please pray. |
Wednesday #2
Good Morning Again!!! Let me try this again........I just lost a whole long post to cyberspace!!!!! I'm even sure how it happened. Thanks for all the congrats on my 2lbs. You guys are AWESOME!!!!!!
Sami~ Take slow deep breaths. Now remember not to stress out over everything so you don't enjoy our Jesus' birthday and all the events that surround it! You may not feel like another Dr is the answer but maybe God has provided this one and he is more knowledgable and will be able to diagnose you and give you a treatment/plan to help you. We are praying for you and this new Dr for guidance and knowledge. Hang in there my friend. Just take one thing at a time and one day at a time. K? We are here for you always. ;) Zoe~ Wow, I wish I could say I was SOOO very close to goal. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!!!!! Wow, having your DD for Christmas and surprising your DH!!!! Sounds like a wonderful time for you! She probably won't even recognize her skinny mom!!!! She will be asking, Dad where's mom? Gary~ Hey, your posts are looking pretty good my friend!! I am stressing over not being able to record Survivor during my DH Christmas party and my DD's band concert. Three hours of stuff!!!! We have a VCR but can't record off the antenna, only the satelite. There ought to be a way..........Are you trying to think of a gift for your wife to give you or you to give your wife, I'm confused. Believe me, doesn't take much these days! Ok, Chinese Christmas. Let's say you have 10 people playing. . . . you have ten numbers to be drawn. Everyone draws a number. The person drawing #1 goes first and goes and picks a gift and opens it. Then #2 has the choice of picking what #1 got or picking another present. Then #3 has the choice of picking #1 or #2's gifts or getting a new one. If at anytime a previous gift is "taken" then that person has the choice of taking the gifts opened or a new gift. If a gift is taken then it can not be taken back at that time but if later that same person's gift gets taken away he can then take his original gift. And gifts can only be taken 3 times. Anyway it continues until the last number has the opportunity to take ANY gift from anyone or the last unopened one. If the last person takes one from someone then that person can take one too or get the last one. It's a fun game but can be very aggravating if you get what you want and someone takes it from you. Can you understand all this? Clear as mud?:D:: Wilma~ Wow, having your sons home for Christmas!! It will be great for you all to be together for Christmas! Take pictures so you can remember this special time when your lives are changing and you are adventuring on a new journey. Did you get that tree yet? ;) [b]Sister Joanne, Sue, Shyla, EVERYONE - - - We look forward to hearing from you. I hope EVERYONE has a good humpday!!!! May the sweet goose flew a different direction today. :cb::lol: |
It is here!
That "sweet goose" has flown here to Southern Ontario and has taken up residence on our farm.
I think it is now a "Sweet Canadian Goose". Trying to be good! Sister Joanne Southern Ontario Canada :D |
Good Morning!
Just a quick note before heading to work. I'm training my replacement today and it's wierd. I'm sad to be leaving but excited about starting a new job too.
Tonight DS (who came home yesterday) and I are going to the Christian School's Christmas concert. It should be great! There has been a lot of snow fallen over the night. I'll get some exercise doing the shovelling. At least it's light and fluffy. We are going to have a white Christmas after all. Talk to you more tomorrow. Take care and stay away from all those goodies!! |
Here it is evening already. I just finished watching the finale of Survivor. I'm glad Brian won. He deserved it much more than Clay.
Our christmas concert was cancelled because of the storm. We've already had over 6 inches of snow and more to come during the night. I just hope I can make it to work tomorrow. It's my last day of work and I'm finding it a little hard to say good-bye. At least I have lots to look forward to. Good night!! |

Friday night
Hello Everyone!!
Wow, sorry I haven't posted. It has been a super busy end of the week and then my server was down the one time I could post. Boy, I miss you guys when I can't connect!!!! Things are so much better in our household now. The Lord has blessed us graciously and our DD is back to her bubbly self and it's good that her depression over everything has lifted!! Gary~ Glad you had time to slow down a bit and check in. As far as a gift for your wife.........how 'bout a massage session? a reflexology session?...........a manacure and pedicure?......... a gift certificate from your local Christian Book Store . . . . . . .I like gifts that I normally won't do for myself. . . . . how 'bout a romantic weekend getaway? Just a few little suggestions. Just do some special things for her. Wilma~ A snow storm huh? Wow, that would really make it seem like Christmas. We here in Central Texas are enjoying warm sunny days in the 60's or so but it just doesn't seem much like Christmas. I would like some but since my husband has to work if we get snow................maybe not. Just call me fickle. Congratulations on finishing a chapter in your book of life. By now you should have finished your old job and will soon be starting a new chapter in a different place, all fresh and new. You know we all wish you lots of luck and continue to pray for you and your family as you make this new transition. A New Year with a new beginning. Your resolutions should be easier. ;-) Joanne~ Good to hear from you too. Keep up the being good! Zoe~, Sue~, Sami~, Shyla~Everyone else~ HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!!!!! God Bless each and everyone one!!!! |
Blessing to all! I am reaching the end of my christmas shopping! I aways feel like I should buy one more thing and then I really over spend. This year I am really trying to be good and everything has been in cash! I am still having trouble with my stomach and stress makes it worse. I have one of those bosses who shreads you apart one minute and (never says sorry) but is your best buddy the next. Friday he was so bad I left work crying (and I don't cry easy) I really don't want to go back on monday but if I don't no one else knows how to key payroll! Please Pray for me.
Wilma-I know it is hard to say good bye but God is in control. Mrs hummer-I am in the same boat with my DD. I had a really hard time with my oldest dd a few years ago. And the lesson I learned was you have to give them some rope. Keeping the grounded will only make them more sneaky! You and your husband need to sit and talk it out together and agree on what she will be allowed to do. Sorry to say you can't pick her friends but if she is close to you it is easier for you point out things and she will come around. My DD is now engaged to a great guy and we are very close. She now tells me I was right! Now we have another one who is 15 and in love and I don't let mine date until they are 16 by I will let her go to school things and I know she meets them at the mall when her and her girlfriends go but the biggest complaint I have from her is she thinks this computer is hers! Zoe-I think I have lost 10 lbs! I go to the dr soon so I will check with his records. ez,Joanne your in my thoughts! Have a blessed day |
Hello friends
I hope that all of you are doing well and not too stressed from Christmas shopping. I too, like you Sami, am at the tail end of mine. Just a few things here and there ~ fun shopping instead of the rush/rush of having to buy something. Today was wiegh in and I was SHOCKED to see that I lost 2.4 lbs!! Holy Cow, am I dancing around or what???!!!??? :cb:  :cb: So my grand total is now up to 32.2 lbs. :D:D Sami ~ good job on losing 10 lbs! Hope you're feeling okay now. Gary ~ about Survivor ~ my choice won!! Woo Hoo! I was happy about that but Thursday night was our party here at the house so I tape it.....guess what?? The tape ran out of space after the show and I missed all the 'reunion' show.  I really wanted to see that and don't know how I will. No one I know watches it. I was so upset. Did it turn out the way YOU wanted it? Any shockers for you? Hi Sherry, Wilma, Joanne, Sue, how you're all well. Don't forget, church in the morning. :D Merry CHRISTmas to all, Zoe <>< |

Christmas Eve
GOOD CHRISTMAS EVE MORNING TO ALL!!!!!!
How is everyone this morning? It's a wonderful crisp morning here in central Texas. As I read each ones posts I was wondering what that person might be doing this morning . . . . . . . .getting ready for Christmas, working, cooking, doing something for someone, doing their daily Bible devotion, or maybe even reflecting on their lives, their blessings, and maybe even their loved ones gone on. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year but for me brings many emotions. I have lost most of my family except my immediate family and of course I miss them, but seeing the joy and happiness on my 5 yr old's face is so wonderful! I love cooking for my family and getting real joy from that until the quilt gets me when I overeat all the goodies. Forgive me for posting this way this morning, but I know there are bound to be others out their that have an emotion roller coaster going on as well. God has been so good to me and all of us. Yesterday, I was kinda stressed out and down about having to go to Walmart and spent 45 minutes in line just to check out. Then on the way home while I was trying to "chill out" I passed a funeral and then I had to say thank you to our Lord for the privilege to be alive and stand in that line. It's amazing how everything went right into perspective after that. Ya know? Anyhow, I will stop all the "heavy stuff". :grouphug: Hope everyone has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! :balloons::goodvibes::balloons: GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!!!!! :gift: |
I just wanted to drop in and wish each one of you a very Merry Christmas and God's richest blessings in 2003. This will probably be the last time I'll post until I'm in my new house and online again. I will miss you but at least it's not forever. I'll have lots to catch up on when I come back.
Have a great time with your families and don't eat too much!! |
