  • For me, I've found I do well with protein (as others have mentioned) as well as a little fat. If I just had a piece of fruit on its own I would be gnawing my arm off 10 minutes later.

I like Greek yogurt, which has more protein than the regular kind. I also like cottage cheese. I get the lowfat versions of both, so there's a little fat involved.

If I do fruit, I combine it with 1/2 an ounce of almonds or walnuts.

It can take a little experimenting to find the best eating schedule and routine, but it's funny how quickly I miss it when it's gone!
  • I would definitely add some protein in their with the fruit. My FAVORITE snack is a red delicious apple with fresh ground peanut butter SO yummy and satisfying. I eat 6 times a day - and always try to combine a protein with a carb - and find that I am never hungry at all!
  • Quote: I'm on Day 11 of calorie counting...and doing fairly well...one issue that I'm having is that I could chew my arm off around 3pm. So I eat a snack...yogurt or fruit typically...this NEVER satisfies me…I’m about to die to get to 6:30PM, which is when dinner is usually on the table…then I’m okay until bedtime. But between 3 and dinner…if there is food in sight it’s going down. My stomach will be rumbling out of control until I feed it.

Should I try a banana with peanut butter? Crackers with Peanut Butter? Do I need more protein? What a protein filled snack?
You got it already! MORE PROTEIN!!! Banana w/ pb is a good choice. I stay away from cracers b/c it is so easy to eat too many.
  • When I journal I try to write down what I'm feeling when I eat...so I can track these patterns to see why i'm eating.

I had a hicup yesterday...I stuffed about 15 FF saltines with a brushing of RF PB in my face and an apple, got home, ate about 4 peppermint patties, 3 pieces of dove dark choco...instead of my healthy dinner I had a 4oz steak. I felt better by 8PM...and when I weighed this morning...I had lost a 1/2 lb.

I promise to behave today! I promise to be more motivated.
