A confession and one really inspirational post.

Hi, my name is fromthebox, and I have a problem... I lurk in the Men's corner for inspiration :D I find their candid hopes and dreams so inspirational, especially This post: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/mens...0-seconds.html To see them sharing these feelings brings me to a realization that though there are a lot more women who lose weight and talk about it before/during/after there are men out there going it alone and running into the wall of manly "feelings" etc. It can be so much harder for them to talk about it.

I hope they are as inspiring to you as they are to me, and we are to them!

To quote the OP from that thread

The women on this sight are wonderful BTW, so much inspiration.

I've never been over there, but now I think I need to lurk, too! =)

I feel bad for men sometimes, when it comes to health/fitness. My husband won't talk about doing yoga or taking up hiking (unless it's a "recreational hike") with me. But, the other night, he and his best buds were having a drink and extolling the virtues of strength yoga and manly workouts like Crossfit. I'm perfectly comfortable talking diet/exercise with anyone who will sit still long enough to listen, but men seem to shirk it publicly. :(

I was thinking about lurking there before i saw this post and wanted to read it first! lol.

i had n ex who had gained at least twenty pounds while we were dating, and he wanted to lose weight and every time he would complain about his weight his friends or brothers would always tell him he either sounded like a girl or would tell him he did gain a lot of weight.
and then when i got just dance for the wii he liked playing it but his one brother gave him such a hard time about it he wouldn't play it while his brother was there.

I was like, seriously? i wanted to beat his brother up then, lol. but i think it is a lot harder on them then it is us!
 <---hugs for all the guys here!

I caught that post as well, and while I'd never actively post on the men's forum--they need their space, too, and I have the whole rest of the site to mess around with--I find a lot of inspiration from the guys.

Gentlemen, if any of you read this, I hope you don't mind that we lurk. It's good to see a different outlook sometimes.
