Default I'm less hungry since I can't exercise right now

Ever since I had to stop exercising because of a knee injury, I haven't been hungry and haven't binged once. And the scale is going down even without exercise. I like this feeling. Lots of exercise makes me hungry, and I would eat more and be more prone to binging.

I think when my injury is healed, I will exercise 4-5 days a week instead of 7 days a week.

Some people say exercise supresses their appetite, but not me. Does lots of exercise make anyone else really hungry?

It definitely used to! I eat so much better now than I used to though. I get protein in whenever I can. That combined with drinking lots of water has allowed me to do 60 min of cardio without feeling very hungry at all! I try to tell myself not to work out all week.. but I love running so much it's hard to not crave the gym everyday! I think if you're still losing then decreasing your excercise should be no problem!

There are actually proven stats that show that too much exercise decreases weight loss. It could be your body needed the break.

It's crazy how satisfied I feel now. When I was exercising hard, I used to feel out of control with food. I used to spend all my time thinking about the next thing I can put in my mouth, just thinking about food ALL the time. I know exercise is essential for health, and I will go back to it when I can, but I know I have to find the right balance with it.

I understand your post perfectly. I suffered a leg injury due to running. I was running every day, working out every day, really over exercising for about 6 months. Doc told me the only way my leg would heal completely was to stop exercising my legs for a month. I thought I would surely die if I couldn't exercise. (I still lifted weights with my arms, but that was about it).
In that month without exercise I lost more weight than I did at any other time.

I also found myself constantly hungry while I was exercising to the extreme. Now that my leg has healed, and I am back at it again, it has been a valuable lesson. I want to be "in shape" but not crazy excessive about it. I have figured out how to exercise the proper amount for my body and the proper amount of calories I need to lose and hopefully maintain one day.

That's why it's a journey, and a terrific one, if you choose to look at it that way. If you stick with it as a new lifestyle, things will constantly surprise you.

Exercise only seems to make me really hungry if I am not eating enough protein. If eat a carb only snack even it makes me ravenous.
