Default water retention

Im not sure if this is something thats been already asked, I searched for it but couldnt find an answer...

I just recently started drinking alot of water again over the last 2 days (after about 2 weeks of not) and was wondering how long will it take my body to realize its getting water and stop the water retention?

so far over the last two days Ive GAINED 2lbs but Ive been eating pretty good. :/ Im hoping its water weight but wanted to see what you ladys say.

Are you close to your TOM? I was almost 4 pounds heavier this morning than yesterday morning because I am a few days away from TOM...It sucks!! LOL.

You body should adjust to it soon.

There are no "x will happen by y date" formulas out there when it comes to our bodies, unfortunately. Just accept that drinking water is incredibly good for you and keep it up! Water weight is not going to make or break your efforts to lose weight (it's not like you're replacing fat with water), so just keep focused on the big picture.

Im about a week from my TOM. I dont know if that would make a difference but I could see how it might. its frustrating though lol.

I just thought it was weird that I was drinking more water but weighed more and figured that maybe my body takes time to let go of the water it stores and I hope that it lets go of it soon. ive only used the bathroom like FIVE times today haha. Ive been one to drink enough water for a while and then basically not drink any for several days.
