Default How is this possible?!?!?!

Got measured last night at my gym, by the same lady who did it the first time. How is it that I've lost inches everywhere but my abs and waist. I gained half an inch on my abs and an inch and a half in my waist, yet lost 2 inches in my hips. I'm not annoyed or frustrated, just confused.

Maybe you have built up muscle in those areas?

Welcome to my world!

In the last few months, while I've lost almost 10 lbs, very little of it came off my waist or hips or even chest. Most of it has been coming off other strange places like my fingers. My rings are now really large!

I don't know why it happens. But it does. I think our bodies aren't machines and they aren't going to lose weight uniformly. Eventually, you'll lose weight in your stomach, but it may be the last weight that you lose.

UGH I am sharing in that frustration...I swear I am going to have toothpicks for legs and a huge muffin top....as I can fit in smaller pants now yeah me!!! BUT I can not wear them, as my belly is not shrinking....keep it up, as soon it will start coming off....at least I hope it does..LOL

thank you ladies. I do feel better bout it now. So bizarre how our bodies work. When I told my bf about it he said "toss that card away, we both know you are shrinking so screw what the numbers say!" lol

I'm down a snap in my bra and I wore jeans yesterday that i havent worn in almost a year so yeah, i'm tossing the numbers out the window.

Thanks again ladies...u all rock!

I've found that I gain and lose weight in my face first, then my boobs, then fingers and lower arms - it's weird, but when I first start to lose, people tell me my face looks thinner. If you keep at it though, the midriff will get smaller, but only after the other areas shrink.
