  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY

    TINA
  • Thank you guys for all the birthday wishes. You guys are awesome. I want to apologize for my earlier post. When I said,
    Quote:
Wish me luck at WI and pray that I'll not get too many stupid presents on my birthday tomorrow. My Mom has already made me a banana pudding.
I do realize that, as J-ann said, that any gift is given in love and friendship and is a precious commodity. I have gotten some really bad gifts in my life, but I am thankful for them all, seeing as the person cared enough to take a small moment out of their day just to think of me, I was just mad because my Mom is one of the people that makes such a big deal out of my weight and she knows how hard I am trying and then for her to come up to my work and say, "Guess what I made you for your birthday? A BANANA PUDDING!" I had specifically told everyone that I did not want anything sweet for my birthday, because it is just too tempting.........especially banana pudding. That is one of my downfalls. But I WILL BE STRONG......AND I WILL RESIST.

Also, here's the WI (not Wisconsin) report for yesterday. I lost 3 more lbs. yesterday! Wooo Hoooo! I am on my way! I am just about 4 pounds away from being where I was when I quit, so I am really excited.

Well, I hate to go, but I am at work and I keep getting hateful looks from my co-worker. (she's answering all the calls) Thanks again for all the special birthday wishes......you guys are the best!
  • Tina hope you had a great birthday and congrats on the weight loss what a great week you had . My WI is tonight so I will report in later. I have the day off today so i plan on getting some stuff done around here today. All my kids have some bug and I sure hope they don't share it with me. they can't understand that they keep telling me I always taght them to share so why is this so different..lol have a great day everyone.
  • Happy Birthday Tina and congrats on the 3 lbs. Welcome back Malia. Your trip sounds like it was amazing. Can't wait to hear more. Well yesterday was a good day. I did my WATP 1 mile and 3 mile tapes and eating was good and I drank all my water. And you know what?, it felt really good to be in control again. Well I'm off to go get some exercising done. See you later.
    Steph
  • This has to be quick. I'm back in the office.!

Well, it was worse than even I thought. I went to my 1st meeting in ages and I've put on another 23 lbs. God, I knew I was sucking in food but Geez .... It's a wonder I didn't do in my heart. No wonder my knees are aching more and more often.

Boy did it hurt to change my stats.

Oh well, I'm going to do my best to get my act back together. Was OP yesterday and so far today. Wish me luck!
  • Good Luck, j-ann! sometimes we NEED that reality check to let us know it's time to STOP and start again! Good for you, getting back on track!

Same to you, Steph! Hear, hear on being "in control" again!

Mary, Christmas shopping! Oh, boy...I gotta get moving! I swear I'm not waiting this year!

Hey, Tina the birthday girl...don't apologize for complaining about the lousy gifts...you're just calling a spade a spade! I'm sure that you politely thanked the giver, despite the ridiculousness of the gift.
(What's up with the whole banana pudding thing?)

I'm still hearing about the lousy (my word, but the implication was loud and clear) Christmas gifts I gave last year to my in-laws They are extremely hard to buy for, they don't need a thing, so we sent some beautiful stuff from the Harry & David catalog...a gorgeous fruit basket and a table top Christmas tree, because they can't be bothered decorating since it's just the two of them. (?...whatever) I just heard a day or two ago about how the tree was no good because when she planted it, it died. In other words...don't send anymore crap from there! That stuff is NOT cheap but I know it's gorgeous, having sent my parents some gifts from there also. They really have some nerve, considering all the useless, ugly, utterly no thought put into it gifts we have gotten from them!!!

    (whoa...ramble much, Kat?)

I just realized I have a dentist appt at 11:00, better get my big ol' butt in the shower! I'll check in later....
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO YOU!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR TINA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO YOU! and many more!

Congrats on the 3 pounds. What a nice present!!!
  • Popping In!
    Hiya Chickies!

Just popping in for a minute before heading off to the gym; today (Tuesdays) are my crazy busy day when I have piano students off and on from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm! I do have a few hours break in the middle of that... so I'm going to work out LIKE I DO EVERYDAY! Wow... can't believe that's ME talking!

Peeked at the scale; it's reporting a loss this week of 4 pounds now (BLESS THE WEEK AFTER TOM LEAVES) making my current weight 179, that's down from 270! Only 9 more pounds to go until I can say "I've lost 100 pounds!" and only 29 more pounds to my goal weight of 150 pounds! Woohoo! I'm feeling (and LOOKING) good!

You'll never guess what my hubby and I did last night before falling asleep! Minds outta the gutter ladies! He gave me a piggy back ride around the house while I laughed hysterically! It's SO strange to be picked up AND he managed to run around with me on his back with no problem!... feels like the ultimate success!

Tina! Happy Birthday Chickie! Hope your day goes awesome. Btw, I totally understood when you said you hope you don't get any stupid presents... like a box of chocolates! That would INFURIATE me! If someone did that, it's the thought that definitely counts and the thought would SUCK! Congrats on the 3 pounds lost! Isn't it great to be in control?

J-Ann: I'm happy to hear you've recommitted yourself! That's wonderful news and I know you have the determination to stick with it!

Oh... just before I go. THE CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE! If you haven't already PMed me with your mailing address if you wish to do so... ya better do it NOW! I'm gonna PM all those participating this upcoming weekend with each other's addresses and let the Christmas madness begin... so don't miss out! You guys know who you are!

Okay. Gotta grab lunch and pop out to the gym!

You have done a great thiong with your weight loss you must feel fantastic.
I have about ten lbs to go to reach the weight I was at when my husband and I met and Im looking forward to get there and then going beyond. He already says that sometimes he feels like he is having an affair because Im so different looking now, of course he always says he didn't have a problem with my weight ever, He just can't get over the change and he even sees me a being different from the time I lost it 17 years ago, he puts that down to my attitude this time because Im so much happier , the last time I was miserable because it was so hard to stay on track with so much restrictions. I find myself that my shape is so different this time and right now Im at about 3 lbs more lost then when i quit before but im actually wearing smaller sizes now then I did then. What an accomplishment you should be so proud of your self.
Everyone should be proud of themselves no matter how much you have lost because you are trying and that is what counts.
  • Happy Birthday TINA Happy Birthday TINA

Your 51.4 pounds lighter than your last Birthday, this time next year you'll be 100 lbs lighter, right

Hope you had a great day, did you get any good presents?
Congrats on the 3 lbs loss, your kicking my arse, are you following WW, I stayed the same last week, need desprately to go grocery shopping and stock up on healthy food, been a carb addict lately.

Malia welcome back, sounds like you had an awsome trip, I hope by the time I turn 40 I to will get to travel and enjoy some of the things, I dont' get to enjoy now. You lived alot of our dreams so far. And to boot you get to live in Hawaii, that it's self is a dream alone.

I am so mad a my landlord, were renting a Trailer, yes I know I'm trailer trash, but is really a nice trailer, only 4 yrs old. Anyway's, we have two doors, and we only use the one, and yesterday, I opened the door we don't usually use, to tell my son something, he was playing on the deck, bulding a snowman, ( yes I did say snowman ) and there was this envelope between the door and the screendoor. So in side the envelope there's a letter from a Lawyer, saying that this property has been foreclosed on and that we must vacant the property by Dec 5, that's only 3 weeks away, talk about no notice, If i hadn't opened that door they'd be knocking on my door, on Dec 5 , telling me I have to move and I wouldn't know anything about it. My landlord is a spineless thief, I gave him the rent on Nov 1 and he didn't say anything about this, the foreclosure was finalized on Aug 7, and he didn't have the balls to let us know, so he's been pocketing the rent money, since Aug, and not paying the mortgage, So now I have to find a new place to live in 3 weeks, this is a small town, not to many decent places to rent, if any. I know I wont get my damage deposit back, I think I'll take the washer and dryer, since the place has been foreclosed, how are they suppose to know what belongs, I'm sure My landlord will come in and strip the place clean and sell the appliances. I'll just take the washer and dryer as collateral, for my damage deposit.

Well I have to get back to work, I'm actually quite busy today.
  • Duckie...I'm no legal expert, but I am certain that you have some rights as far as this situation goes. If you do a search for "free legal advice," there are about 7 million websites to browse. I would not take this lying down. Your landlord is a **** and you should have been given a proper amount of time to find a new place to live. There is no way you can be evicted until you have a new home. Please do yourself a favor and see what can be done. Take care of yourself.
  • Well weigh in was last night and I did lose but not much but that is ok because my points range went down 2 weeks ago and that slows me down for a couple of weeks and with the doc taking away one of my meds that has an effect as well, so down .6. With the holidays coming up I want to make sure that I have got ten my system back in full running order so that I don't get discouraged by the holidays because i think that would make staying on programe harder with all the food around. My first challenge is coming upo on the 30 dh Christmas dance for work is that day and then the following week they have another dinner at a sensational oriental rest. It is awesome the meal is usually about 20 courses so I want to make sure I'm well prepared for that. So I will work really hard between now and then to give myself that little extra cushion.
  • Geez, Duckie, that is terrible. It took me two months to just pack when I moved. I will send you : and keep you in my prayers.

Malia WHERE are the pictures? I sure hope you are getting them developed for us. Hmmm... maybe you were gone when we decided to have a Christmas Card exchange? If so do you want to join us? Here is a quote from Sara our keeper-tracker.

I have to say I don't have any holiday spirit right now. The only excitement I feel is - sending all of you cards!!!! Of course you realize there won't be anything to write since I write to you everyday!!!!!!!!!!! Won't be any Christmas letter enclosed!!!! Saved you all on that one.
  • Hello Ladies!

Well another two pounds are gone! I am very happy that brings my total to ten pounds lost since starting the weight watchers program. How is everyone else doing?
