That’s a song by Heather Small that I have loved since I heard it on Queer As Folk. I’ve used it before when I’ve been trying to change my life and I need to try it again.
Every day for a year I plan to post something here that I’ve done that I can be proud of myself for. Since 365 days would take up a lot of space, I will break my posts up into 92 day sections. It may or may not be weight loss related but it will be related to improving my life in some way. It will be things like not having any dirty dishes in the house when I go to bed, putting my dirty clothes in the hamper instead of on my bedroom floor, dusting, eating something fresh (there are way too many days when this doesn’t happen), de-cluttering my house, etc.
I was going to wait until Oct 4 to start but procrastination is a problem I have that I want to break. I was skimming thru the Beck Diet Solution this morning and read something that made me decide there was no reason I couldn’t start today.
Does anyone want to join me?

Sep-22- Drank a s*** ton of tea! My pee is almost clear and it's been making me get up to make some, and get up to go to the bathroom which is great because a desk job doesn't really require too much moving around!

Hello ladies. Thanks for joining me on this journey.
I've updated mine from the weekend - I rarely log onto the internet unless I'm at work so I've missed a few days.
I've noticed planning for this thread has helped me. I find myself thinking "I have to do something to be proud of today; I don't want to have to start over already on 3FC."
This is a great day to ask me this. Today I went running as soon as I got the kids and hubby off. When I came back I cleaned up the house and took a shower and went to a meeting I had committed to.
I know this may not seem like much to some. Lately though, I have really been struggling with my dear old depression. It was a lot for me and I am proud of myself.

I understand how that is enough to make you feel proud. Depression is an old "friend" of mine as well. That's why I was proud of getting out of the house on Saturday.
I'm proud of you too.

Hi TBG! Congrats on your victory. Every victory is powerful no matter how other's perceive it.

Yay, Nicole! Fast food is one of my vices. I know how horrible it is but still crave the greasy deliciousness. Congrats on picking a healthier option.
I LOVE this idea! Maybe just what I need to get back on track! I'll give it a shot for a month. (:
Starting weight: 127. Sep-27- Went to the gym for the first time in over a week and a half! Didn't have time to do much more than spend half an hour on the treadmill, but it was just what I needed to get myself feeling in control after falling off the wagon a little bit. Sep-28- Besides a single hershey kiss and a tiny taste of vanilla chai, I didn't overindulge at work like I usually do! I'm about to go out to see a band and dance - my favorite way to burn calories! (: Sep-29- I helped close at work for an hour and for the first time resisted ALL TREATS! No handful of candy here, teaspoon of ice cream there, a sip of smoothie leftover in the blender, etc. REALLY proud of this because since I started there I've always treated myself to something when I work. Sep-30- Spent over an entire hour at the gym for the first time in a lonnnng time! Pushed myself to make my usual 10 minute mile an 8 minute mile, and spent nearly 20 minutes stretching. I feel so gooooood. Oct-01- Weighed in today and lost 2 lbs! I'm now at 125! SO happy with myself. I walked to the grocery store to get a few staples instead of driving. Took a little bit longer than going by car but I got my exercise for the day, so really I killed two birds with one stone! Oct-02- Ate well and ran two miles at the gym for the third time ever in my life! It was a bit easier than it was the first time, but it still kicked my butt. My goal is to make it to three miles without feeling like I'm going to keel over, then trim my time down from there. Oct-03- Nothing to report. ): I went to work on a totally empty stomach (HUGE mistake when you work with and around food all day!) and grazed on things I shouldn't have throughout my shift. I went over my calorie limit AND didn't make time to go to the gym. I guess on the bright side I realized the importance of having a good breakfast when I work long sunday morning shifts, AND it's good that I stopped myself from going into a binge. Oct-04- Went to the gym and did another 8 minute mile! Oct-05- Absolutely NOTHING. I fell off the wagon HARD today. ): Oct-06- It's more like 'what did I do to make me feel GUILTY' today. I'm really slipping here. I guess one thing I can be proud of is the fact that I made an appointment with a counselor for tomorrow morning to talk about my issues with body image and eating. Oct-07- NOTHING AGAIN OH MY GOD. ): I've been off the wagon for days. I feel awful about myself. Oct-08- Nothing. Fifth day off the wagon... Oct-09- Nothing. Oct-10- Nothing. Officially a week off the wagon. In DESPERATE need of motivation! Oct-11- Didn't eat healthy, but didn't binge.

sal27253, GREAT JOB on resisting the open candy dish! i'm so bad with social eating. if someone offers me a taste of something or a candy or two, i take it without thinking twice. so congrats on doing that - i know how hard it can be!
rrjs, Hi! Impulse eating is definitely one of my many food issues... CONGRATS on the gym vistory that's a long time to push yourself! Your body will thank you
Oct 1 - Did 5k on the elliptic trainer and burned 450 cals
Oct 2 - Didn't snack at the party and stuck to water all night
Oct 3 - Went walking outside the gym schedule
Oct 4 - Didn't go to Burger King, even though I really, REALLY wanted to after I messed up a presentation at a job interview. Now that I'm really paying attention to what (and when) I'm eating, I realize how often I used to eat b/c of emotional stuff going on. Not going to allow that anymore!
Oct 5 - Burned off 500 cals on the elliptic trainer
