Hi there Chickies!
My hubby is sooo supportive, but his eyes would glass over if I went into this much detail. I know you all at least understand what the heck I am talking about, lol!
Day 6 of my new diet (medically supervised low carb LCD plan) and I am comfortably in ketosis and have already dropped 15 lbs! The tapeline is a source of wonder, not revulsion. 15 lbs is a drop in the bucket overall, and I know my loss will slow down shortly, once I've shed the water weight, but it's the best feeling knowing that I CAN DO THIS!
I have a shake for breakfast, another 2 hours later, then lunch - 4oz. lean protein and a large handful of veggies off the approved list. Today was shrimp gently sauteed in MCT oil (the only approved oil) with Old Bay seasoning, and steamed broccoli. Then another shake, a comparable dinner, then yet another shake before bed. Lots of water and twice/day an electrolyte mix that also contains a lot of trace minerals and aminos. I feel better nourished than I have in ages - I never would have dreamed one could have so much energy on so few calories (around 800 to 1000 or so per day). I'm 5'8" with a large frame.
Shakes (incl. MCT oil) @ 100 x 5 = 500 calories
8oz lean protein (4oz. x 2) = 200-300 calories
Veggies = <100 cal
MCT oil for cooking, salad dressing = approx. 100 cal
Total daily calories = 800-1000, on average
Who'da thunk it?
Anyway, I feel like Wonderwoman! I can do anything!
15 down, 115 (more or less) to go. :-)
Thanks for 'listening' to me ramble!
Robin
