Journey to New Jeans. Who's with me?!
 

Okay, so this is kind of an update and challenge related to my thread Journey to a Size 18 Jean

I think I've officially gotten to/and past my goal to a size 18 Jean. I'm the type of person who gets attached to their jeans...if that makes any sense and I'll wear the crap out of them until I find that "new pair" or they literally fall off of me. I even try and shrink my jeans in the washer/dryer to make them last longer, which I've attempted with these particular pair of jeans; they feel good right out of the dryer, but then stretch back out throughout the day. I'm seriously going to need to get size 16 jeans now, and start this journey once again!

I guess the challenge would be to take your own "before" pics in those jeans you don't quite fit into yet and start making a photo progression log! :carrot:

wow, that is so impressive! your stomach looks so flat too! i've been trying to get into these 13 pants for weeks, but i think i still have around 20 pounds to go. how heavy were you in the before pictures, btw?

I was 210lbs in the first picture and I'm 196lbs now.

You look fab! Way to go! I wish I looked that good at 196.

Congratulations! You're looking good in those jeans, and I can definitely tell that you've lost inches around your stomach.

Your post sent me scuttling to my closet! I had honestly not thought to go peek at the old clothes. So I had a stack of jeans, shorts, workout clothes, and a few dresses...

I found 3 size 14s that fit!! Sadly, all those are a bit ragged, and good for around the house, but nothing to wow anyone. I found 4 pair of size 12s that I cannot get into, most of which are barely worn, and one pair that I really love..these will be my first goal pants.

Further down, I came across some 10s...target 2..and the ever elusive size 8s. To be honest I have NEVER been able to wear those. Have those from a very old goal that was never reached. I intend to make it this time.

you, btw, look fantastic..and how I wish I could carry my weight as well as you do! I am jealous beyond words that you look as good as you do at your weight, and I honestly am not sure I will look as good after reaching my goal! Damn you people with well proportioned bodies!

i carry my weight like you do, and I think you look wonderful. Good job on the lbs lost.

you look great!!!! I'm totally envious of that flat tummy. My belly is my most hated body area and I'm thinking that no matter how much weight I lose, it will never look as good as yours does already. (unless I have surgery, maybe!)

YAY! You look AWESOME! I think fitting into a smaller pair of jeans/pants is one of the best feelings!

so my jean goal is this funky pair of size 12s in my closet. All of my other size 12s fit--tight, but they fit...but these things..i don't know what is up. i can pull them up, but not button or zip for that matter. So those jeans are my goal!

I will join the jean challenge! Right now I am in a 16 "normal" or 14 from the plus sized store. My goal is to hit 14 "normal". My 16 normals are getting loose but I'm still about 5lbs away from *comfortably* fitting the 14's.

My goal for the summer is to fit into a pair of 12L that I picked up at goodwill. :D (and a size 12 dress I also bought there)

My eventual goal is to fit into at the largest, a size 8L. It's the size I see everywhere in almost all secondhand stores (the place I normally shop... :p ), so... yeah. I don't know... MAYBE that's too low... but I don't think so. :)

At the moment, 14L jeans fit. Some are loose, most are kinda tight... not like... OMG TOO TIGHT!!!! but... tighter. :p

I can fit my legs into each leg of the size 12... but as soon as I put both legs in... it goes up to halfway on my thighs... and... well... I don't really want to show pictures of how they fit. ;)

I want to join! Right now I wear a size 16 jean but I've gained about 15 pounds so they are all getting too tight :o so my goal is to get into some 16s I bought in march that still have the tag.I wish my body looked half as good as yours good job :p

Wow!! good job!! I've been wearing size 18's for like 6months after wearing 16's for almost two years. My 18's are finally falling off my butt!! im so glad! i still have 16's though so i can't wait until i have to buy some 14's Good luck your looking amazing!!

im in a 16 right now, and i've got a pair that was like SKIN tight...now they are loose. So i'm working on fitting into all 16's.. on my 34's i've started to wear a belt and i'm 2 notches smaller than i was.. i'm still waiting to go shopping, i'm not sure what ill buy next. BUT i've got a size 12's in the closet i want to wear! wont be till like aug, but... im gonna get there.

All the size 16's Ive tried on have been to big. The 14s are a little snug, I think I'm in-between sizes right now. Good Luck everyone!

Clothes! I don't know if I can think about them right now. lol. I have two pairs of jeans, one of which is officially too big, and the other is a basic skinny. It's been beyond difficult for me to afford new clothes every time the old ones no longer fit. I have literally been borrowing my grandma's extra large and 1x tops, while buying cheap jeans from Wal Mart just to get by! It's sucky, but it's all I can afford right now.

I did a fashion show for my grandma a few weeks ago. I tried on all of my shirts from my heaviest weight. Most of them now resemble dresses or hang so low you see my entire bra! It was quite an experience strutting around in my old favorite shirt which could now easily be worn with leggings and treated as a dress. I quite enjoyed that.

I don't have any clothes I don't fit into yet, just clothes that are too big. I do have a couple of tank tops I bought last summer for cheap at Goodwill. They are super cute but I couldn't get both arms through the holes last summer. Now they fit fine! :D

I am thinking about going on some yard sale and Goodwill adventures this summer to get by. lol. I don't like not having fashionable clothing but with a bit of luck I can find some sweet stuff for cheap until I reach goal.. whenever that day comes. *le sigh*

ALSO, you look FABULOUS. Your shape is so beautiful and your stomach and back are pretty much my new inspiration. :)

I just joined, and I carry my weight like you, its proportionate, and right now, I'm a 22-24 ish. My first big goal is to get to an 18 again. I can't wait. Thank you for being so open. In fact, everyone on here is a motivation. :) I feel like I can do this more and more.

I work for Goodwill!!! Woot for second hand stores!!

Amen to that, sistah! There's nothing I enjoy more than a day of Goodwill, Salvation Army, and every yard sale I can find within driving distance. That's my fave summer thing to do besides swim and roast marshmallows. :dizzy:

I just went down to size 16 jeans although they are a little tight. I guess by the end of this month my goal is to fit into some 14s even if they are tight!

Congrats! I am so close right now to getting into size 26s again it is unreal. They zip, button, and feel ok until I sit. Ugh!! My 28s are falling off though at the end of the day...
Anyway, good job! I am going to go try on a few other pairs of pants here in a bit.

Wow, you look fantastic! You've got such a good figure as well- even when I was quite slim I always had a round belly but your stomach is so flat.

I'm trying to get into my old jeans at the moment, I've got a collection of really nice jeans, none of which fit me! I can get them all on but not zipped up, I'm probably going to have to lose around 14-16 pounds to fit into them comfortably (basing that on the fact that when I was 10 pounds lighter they did up but were too tight).

Update: I am now officially a 14 normal! I bought a pair of shorts from Sears tonight, a 14, and they fit nicely. They even had extra room in the tummy!! (they didn't have the style in a 12 but I don't think I'm quite there yet anyway).

The really awesome part is I remember shopping for jeans there last year, trying on some 18's and they were tight in the waist and extremely ill-fitting.

New goal: Size 12!!!!!:carrot::D:carrot::D

Congratulations on your weight loss...you look fantastic!!! The side view in your last photo you can tell a big difference. Good for you!!!
