  • If you don't give up, you will definitely succeed! You may not lose as quickly as you like, but you will lose. Just keep at it!
  • The first thing you need to do is relax and take a look at the big picture. You recently began a permanent lifestyle change. You didn't become your current weight overnight and you're not going to reach your goal weight overnight. Weight loss is a journey and it takes time...and sometimes it feels like it takes forever.

My highest weight was 259...10 years ago. I'd lose 30 pounds and gain back 10. It has taken me awhile to figure out what works for me.

You need to be nice to yourself and be patient with yourself. Be your own best friend. Leave some encouraging notes on your bathroom mirror or fridge...notes that say "You can do it!" and "I'm proud of you!". Give your body the right foods and exercise and you'll start seeing the scale go down.
  • You are doing great. Really.

The only suggestion I have is that you take your measurements - chest, waist, hips, thigh, arm.

Recheck your measurements about once a month and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. For me, I only need a 3 lb weight loss for my measurements to shrink. For me, if I not happy with the scale, I might be happy with the measuring tape.

    Hang in there.
