I use mypyramidtracker.gov where I log both what I eat and my exercise and I track my average deficit (not losing my mind if one day is not ideal, just adjusting the next few days to get average back in line). Because I track the deficit so carefully, I know I'm doing what is needed and don't get on the scale more than once a month (so I don't see those annoying fluctuations or plateaus). A very "geeky" way to lose weight but it works for me.
