  • Quote: My best tip is to not eat anything that has ingredients that a 3rd grader cannot pronounce.
    Love this!

There have been a lot of great tips given.

-PP mentioned throwing away food. If there is leftover candy... throw it away. Don't eat it just to "get rid of it". Guilty of this on WAY too many occasions.

    - Sugar free jello is a good snack. I am an LAWL person and its a free snack pretty much. Add sprite zero instead of more water in the last step. Then I add some fat free or light cool whip. Great low cal snack!

    - Keep your hands busy. If I am watching tv and not doing something else I want a snack. If I have my laptop or my drawing tablet it keeps me busy.
  • One thing I have been doing recently is splitting up servings of food immediately after I get home from the store. I have a particular kind of "healthy" chips that I LOVE and would be OK in moderation, except I always end up eating the whole bag within 24 hours of bringing it home. So now I count out a serving and put each into a ziplock baggie, and limit myself to one bag a day (about 150 calories). It sounds simple and stupid, but for a binge eater like me, it's a huge help! (I also save the ziplock bags, rinse them out and reuse them as to not be wasteful!)
