Default Kids!!!

Anyone else have issues keeping food out of the hands of their kids? My kids, most especially my teenage daughter, goes right for my little frozen weight watcher meals before anything else in the house. I end up with nothing to eat for my lunches. If I buy extras she thinks thats an invitation to feed the neighborhood with my weight watcher meals. She is tiny, her friends are tiny- no reason any of them need my little meals. Also my snacks...thats true of all my kids. I rarely need a sweet treat, my weakness has always been carbs like breads and pastas, but every now and again I do need something small to curb a craving so I keep one little spot for a snack or two in case so I don't end up breaking into the kids snacks or sweets with all those calories. Yet again- kids go right for those FIRST, regardless of how many other snacks and sweets they have in the cabinets.

I would seriously make the entire house go on my diet foods if they all weren't so thin and active. I think all these years, I have been gaining weight from watching them stuff their faces. *shakes fist at fast metabolisms* But they need regular food and bigger meals than mine provide them.

Default Idea!

I had a friend who had the exact same problem! She bought herself a small freezer that had a lock on it...genius! She stored all her diet foods in the freezer from meats to boxed meals to homemade meals that she could write the nutritional info on in marker...all just for HER!!! I wish I had the space - I think its a great idea!!!

Can you store a week's worth of frozen meals at your work? You may just need to buy them Sunday night and then bring them to work. Hide treats in your room or somewhere she won't look.
