Default Cannot WAIT to give away my fat pants!

As soon as I can get back into my regular clothes, those suckers are off to the Salvation Army! I outgrew all my pants and bought three pairs to get me through at work, so I've been wearing the same ones over and over - yuck! When I hit my goal weight I will be RUNNING out to the store for some new jeans, too!

For those who've lost, did you give away your fat clothes right away, or hang on to them?

the few pairs that I have that no longer fit are under the bed. I had just bought them...and I'm too nervous to get rid of them yet. I figure I'll get rid of the largest ones when I'm down two sizes.

I'm keeping one pair from my start weight to remind me of where I started. The rest are going. I will not give myself permission to fail.

Some people hang onto them for good reasons, but it would be self-sabotage for me.

I will be getting rid of them the same day! haha

I also kinda feel like if I keep them I may slowly grow back into them...
I may keep one of my biggest pairs just as a reminder that I dont want to go there again. =)

Sadly, I have given away SOOOOOOOO many fat clothes over the years because I swore I would NEVER wear them again, and very sadly I had to bite the bullet and go and repurchase fat clothes because I didn't have anything to wear once I fell off the wagon. I never bought as nice as clothes on the way up and always looked frumpy because I never thought I would stay there long, so depression would become a vicious cycle, and eventually overtake me. To *ME* it was way more depressing having to spend more money (that I really couldn't afford) than to just dig out something from the past...

SO this time around I did things different....(I did everything different ). I have neatly boxed up every nice outfit in totes, and have stacked them in the attic hopefully to be rid of by my children at my estate auction after I'm dead and gone. I don't ever want to see them again, but just in case, they are there all ready for me if I should ever need them again. I guess this way I don't feel so bad spending massive amounts of money on new skinny clothes because I know I won't have to repurchase fat clothes if something goes haywire.

Anything that had stains, holes or "chub rub" was thrown away, underwear and bras were also thrown away.

I guess that 2-5% statistic of people actually keeping the weight off is a little to low for me to feel comfortable yet.

The moment they started falling off they were bagged up and out the door! I didn't want to hold on to any of my fat pants for the fact that I want to move on from them and never want to see them again.

I bag clothes as soon as they start looking really weird and really droopy on me (I can handle regular ol' weird and droopy though, lol). So far I've dropped off 3 bags at Good Will and am about 3/4 of a way through my 4th bag. =)

Gone! I actually purged my closet completely this week and Purple Heart is picking them ALL up in the morning! I saved a couple of old favorite things to pull out when I need a reminder of how far I have come.

Until I hit goal, I'm getting rid of "comfy pants" as soon as I have money to buy new ones. The way I figure, if I'm wearing loose pants, I'll be willing to overeat.

I got rid of almost all my fat clothes. I had a closet purge this summer and got rid of all my bad, unstylish clothing I had held onto for far too long, regardless of size. Then of the remaining clothes (about half what I started with), I tried them all on, and ANYTHING tenting on me even a little bit or hiding my shape was OUT. Except for one or two shirts I like enough to get tailored when I hit goal. Then I raided Salvation Army and got myself a bunch of cute clothes that fit me and are cute. It was cheap and they look good. TOTALLY worth it. I don't regret trashing the old clothes at ALL (I actually donated them all to Salvation Army, actually!)

I also will not be getting rid of mine. I've done that one too many times (although I have no regret about donating some to H. Katrina victims). I will keep them this time not because I will gain the weight back, but because I kind of believe in Murphy's Law. If I have some in the closet, I won't need them, but if I have none, I just might! It's funny, but I also don't want to take any chances. It's a horrible feeling to go to the plus size department and spend money on clothes I dislike a great deal. I don't know what my reasoning is, but I just know that I"m keeping them.

I will keep one pair of pants to remind me of how far I've come. Everything else is out the door the moment it is unflattering (too baggy, or just too tent-like that it doesn't show off my figure).

Before my pregnancy, I had lost weight and kept it off for 3 years with no problems so I'm not overly worried about regaining what I lose this time around.

Also, I didn't buy a lot of "fat" clothes (I had maternity clothes and but nothing to wear postpartum!) so I don't have many clothes that fit at my higher weight. As a result, the few "fat" clothes are rather dingy from being worn several times a week! I'll be happy to never see them again.
