Haha omg my friends and I say that to each other but we would NEVER say that to a stranger! Maybe she thought she was being nice (FAIL) by alerting you to the fact that you needed to hike up your pants?

There should be a "People of Whole Foods" website to balance out "People of Walmart"...or maybe there already is.

Havisham 11-10-2009 01:02 PM

I'm afraid my response to that would be:
Crack kills
Yeah? So do I! Then grin maniacally. :D

rosemarie0007 11-10-2009 07:58 PM

Hey great response Havisham. So I spent a whole lot of time last night looking at the hilarious people of Walmart. Does that make me as bad as her? No.. because I wouldn't say negative comments to some stranger, but really they should have the hilarious people of whole foods page.

Havisham...I loved that come back. I'm horrible with comebacks. I usually just tell them to go f themselves! ;) I'm really a nice person, but if someone offends me, I might just say something nasty and feel guilty about not being more classy! ;)

Rosemarie, just shake it off. Someone who doesn't have the tact to handle seeing a little butt crack has got some serious issues and I do believe that Karma will eventually come back to bit her in her ***! ;) Hahahaha!

An *adult* said that to you? People can shop in the ritziest of places, but it doesn't automatically give them any class.

I don't even think about comebacks anymore. They're not even necessary. Just looking them in the eye with an incredulous look and walking away shaking your head will instill more shame in them than anything you could ever say. Silence speaks louder than words.

I'm one of those who wears high-cut bikinis out of fear that I'll show some crackage. I had a pair of DKNY jeans once that fit most awesomely, until I shrunk too much I had to give them away. It was the only time I've ever regretted losing weight. I'm sure I could get another pair, but I can't bring myself to spend over $40 on jeans these days. I'll wait till I'm down another size or two. But if you're in the market to spend a little, I loved my DKNY Soho jeans. Find yourself a pair and be in bliss. :) They go up to i think a 16 at Macy's or Dillard's - I forget which.

Hey thanks ! The brand I was wearing was lucky brand, and they fit perfect last Christmas. They cost $100 and my husband bought them. But they're kind of tight right now. I'm kind of broke right now, but hopefully I can get some money together.I'll keep the recommended brands in mind, maybe I'll check out the local consignment, our local store looked like it had good stuff.

Nah, I'm not really bothered that much by what she said, its just I was tormented so much as a kid,(not about weight, but anything the kids could think of), that it automatically effects me, and really its rare for an adult to say anything, I don't look that bad except for some extra weight, and some of my childhood physical problems are gone(you know, like glasses acne, braces) but I thought it was funny story, with the thoughts that went through my head, who's on crack, you lady?

bargoo 11-11-2009 09:50 AM

I never can come up with a good comeback either , but I have read where someone will respond with "Do you realize you said that out loud ? " I have never tried that, though. I usually just give a shocked but innocent look. you know , that "Who me ? "

Havisham 11-11-2009 10:14 AM

I thought of another:
Crack Kills
Really? That's terrible. Have you considered rehab?

Or:
Crack Kills
Hmm...only class, apparently.

I have to say, though, that the supercilious look down your nose and walk away shaking your head is also priceless.

Luckymommy - sometimes a good F Off is the only response. And it's all in the delivery. I'm a good person (unless you cross me) but sometimes that's the only response that some people deserve. Think of it as a public service - maybe that person has never been told that before - you could be opening their eyes to a whole new world! :D

FWIW, one day I was in a mall with DH, and there was a woman with a BANGIN body squatting down. An elastic "whale tail" with "Victoria's Secret" printed on it was sticking out from her white pants. "Not Secret enough," whispered DH! We both laughed!

rosemarie0007 11-12-2009 12:23 AM

You know a few years back there was this bartender at this place I used to hang out who wore her thong way above her pants, was that a style say back in 2003?

yoyoma 11-12-2009 08:28 AM

Sorry that you had a run-in with a creep at the store. If I wasn't in too much shock, I would have probably just glared at her.

On the jeans, I've found that Gloria Vanderbilt seems to flatter my apple shape. I haven't paid full price for them, but I've run across a few at thrift stores. Good luck!
