Default Arghh, Can't stand to look in the mirror

My body is now going through that phase where it looks ten times worse than when I started. I hope this part is short lived and that it all tones back up PDQ.

Aww honey...I hear you...Ive been there. Its weird...you get comfortable with seeing yourself big and for me I was also "hard"...almost like a pregnant woman. Then when I lose my first 25, I started seeing more "flab", even though overall I was losing weight. Dont worry...it will surpass. Try doing some strength training...do something very simple...I do 25 pushups every morning and every evenings, as well as 50 lunges daily. Its a slow process but things are genuinely shaping up nicely. Good luck!

You'll firm up, promise. But I want you to SERIOUSLY look in the mirror and find just ONE thing you like about your body. RIGHT NOW. Doesn't matter what it is, just find it and acknowledge it, and value it. Cause hating how you look is unproductive...

I know how you feel, too. I have lost 25 pounds which looks so much better in clothes. However, my belly looks like dough that has been punched down. That little gobbler thing under my chin, I don't think it was as noticable when there was more fat pushing everything out.

Statisically speaking, I spend much more time dressed than I do naked, though. So I will not gain weight just to fill up the loose skin!

In my brief experience with weight loss, it does seem to look worse one week, and then smooths out a little the next week.

Yep, my stomach looks like a raisin. But, my waist circumference is smaller, so that's good.

The sides of my belly go in before the center does, which makes it look more pronounced. And ugly! But this is a sign that I'm making progress so it's a good thing

We just need to keep on keeping on

I knew something was up! I have lost 35lbs and I feel like a big lumpy squish ball and its upsetting.
It is a bit reassuring to hear others say it will get better.
I hope so...

I'd love to hear more reassuring stories!!

When you feel this way, get dressed up, take time to look your best, and take a picture of yourself. Compare it side-by-side with your before picture. I think you will be surprised that all that squishy, saggy, oh so annoying body actually looks a lot better than the taut, fat body did!

Keep at it, and keep up the exercise. Things WILL get better!

I am doing weight training 3-4 days per week and jogging 3 days. I don't feel bad about my body in general other than thinking I am fat.
I was looking at my leg and noticed it looked "squishy" (lol) and then when I went to a mirror and looked closely at everything and I noticed all of me looked "squishy" as well.
Just can't wait for it to look toned instead of "squishy".

Oooh, thanks! Yeah, um, I was serious... I consider myself pretty up-to-date on netspeak and I've never seen that acronym before.
