I need help on this...One of my really close friends is struggling with her weight. She has been through a lot and most of her family members are also overweight (like my own as well). I've been really motivated by 3FC and have been losing weight for the first time in years. A few years back I encouraged my friend to work on her weight loss but these days (she moved out of state) I haven't had a chance to talk to her in person so much and I wanted to encourage her to start working on weight loss because I just want her to be happy - Any tips on how I can go about this? I really don't want to offend her? She has has over 100lbs to lose and I have far less to lose so I am worried she will think that I am not in a place to advise her...
I would maybe just in conversation talk about this great website you found that has really helped you and not even suggest she try it.
I was going to suggest the same thing but I have to add do this only AFTER she has mentioned wanting to lose weight to you first.
That way she will not feel like you might be pushing it on her and the possibility of insulting her is not present.
I think that's a great idea...that way, you're not forcing it on her and she can decide whether or not she wants to check it out.
Borntofly - I love your signature about having a boyfriend named Gym!!! So funny
Thank You!!
I always have ppl asking me why I don't have a boyfriend, and other things in similar nature, and I just tell them I'm trying to work on myself, so my boyfriend is the gym right now.
