lol That's one reason why I'm curious. I don't have one.
I did find some I liked yesterday on another site like:
"nothing changes if nothing changes"
"You cannot wish yourself healthy."
"What you do in private shows in public"
"You're too darn cute to be this heavy!"
I have several:
~ Persistence and progress, not perfection is the goal
~ I will choose WHAT exercise I will do each day, not IF I will exercise.
~ Enjoy the journey
~ All things in moderation is fine, but some things need a LOT of moderation.
From Michael Pollan: Eat food, not too much, mostly plants. (food= real food, not processed, chemical, artificial, etc.)
Also, whatever I eat is a choice. "I am choosing to eat this... I choose to eat a second portion... " Keeps me honest- food doesn't just jump into my mouth!
Mine is :
Being fat is hard, losing weight is hard, maintaining weight loss is hard, choose your hard. ( this is not origional with me ).
That is posted on my refrigerator along with....Don't sabotage your diet.
I guess I don't really have a mantra, but sometimes I have to get all Tough Love on my self and these are the things I say:
--Suck it up, Princess. (Not original to me, but I have this note posted on my elliptical, covering up the minutes readout)
--Pull on your big-girl panties and get busy (also not original to me, but this is what I tell myself when that whiney 2-year-old in my head starts in about wanting cookies or not wanting to exercise)

I really love that one alot!
Just do it- is one I am liking. Because I can sit here and come up with a million excuses why not but I just need to do it. period. the end lol.
But my favorite is- Life is a journey not a destination.
It reminds me that I am doing this for my life and that each moment and choice matters here and now.
