Question Diet Plan suggestions

I really want to lose 30 lbs by November 1. My DH and I are going on a cruise. I started WW in January, but have only lost about 8 lbs. I feel like it gives me too much freedom and I keep making the wrong choices. But when I try something like Atkins, I only last a week or so becuase of social engagements where I have to eat/drink something that's not on the plan and I blow it. I have 3 kids, work full time, and I don't have too much time to plan/prepare meals or exercize. But I don't have $ for Jennie Craig or Nutrisystem.

So, I am thinking about either South Beach, the Flat Belly Diet, Atkins (again), or Slim Fast.

Please tell me if any of you have had success on these. How much did you lose? Is it easy to follow? What should I do to lose the 30 lbs in 2.5 months?

Thanks!

Mabs

years ago I did slim fast. Alternating days of shake for breakfast and oatmeal. Then shake for lunch with an apple or orange. Snack... honestly a grab bag of Doritos. And then a well rounded dinner. I was also taking 2 classes at the gym and working with a personal trainer once a week. I lost 45 pounds in 4 months. I have not had success with slimfast since... I think it's because of the sugar overload it does on my body. Plus I'm way too hungry using the shakes.

Now I've been having success with Atkins. I feel very satisfied and not having very many cravings. Social situations are hard, but I've found that nobody gives me weird looks or that anything is out of the ordinary when I ask for no bun with my burger. I think people are so accustomed to food allergies and diets that being particular about food choices isn't odd anymore.

It's hard making a choice and even harder to stick to it. Good luck!
