  • Unfortunately, healthy foods are often gassy foods. To determine the gas culprit, we have to pay attention to everything we eat or drink, and keep in mind that it can take 4-6 hours for a portion of a meal to be released as gas; so your gassy episode is likely from an earlier meal.     OP: I feel your pain (literally). I have really bad gas too at times. I should try to figure out what causes it.
