I love that! I prefer to walk outside, but the weather is so rotten that I'm reluctantly turning to the boring treadmill, but I feel better with the option of surfing while I walk.

H8cake, you lost 92 pounds with walking as your primary exercise? That inspires me.

I haven't been walking in weeks. The weather is so crummy, ice and packed snow on our streets, a foot and a half of snow everywhere else. I am itching to get moving. I really haven't been able to walk much until a few months ago, I was too heavy and my hips, knees and feet hurt. I can't wait until the snow melts and it warms up a little so I can get at it again.

I always walked in Buffalo. When I moved to SC we HAD to drive everywhere.

I now walk on the treadmill while watching movies at the gym. I love it!

We have a Shih Tzu who can't walk easily when the snow gets deep, so we shoveled out a walking loop on our front lawn. Now when I'm not walking him, I'll stick my pedometer in my pocket and walk "yard loops" until I've done a mile, or however much I want to do.

I'm hoping that doing this regularly will help me lose some this winter.

In the new year this is something I am going to be doing a lot more of. Im going to be arranging regular walks around local sites and footpaths. I love seeing scenery and its something my boyfriends never wanted to do with me - well something else hes never wanted to do with me.

But anyway I have found a mate that enjoys walking immensely so we are going to walk together. I figure one nice walk a week should help with my maintenance program. In all honesty I will be glad to get back to work and moving about again so much! All I have done this christmas is work out, I will be AMAZED if I dont gain any weight at all!
