The weight on your drivers license

So...what's the weight on your driver's license ? I think this thread already exists somewhere, but it's really old, and there's a lot of new people, so lets start fresh.

what's the number?
Were you really that weight when you reported it?

I'll start, mine's 190, and I was sooooooo happy about being 190 at that point that it's actually true. Your turn.

nelie 12-08-2008 12:23 PM

I think mine says 260. I never changed. I think its always said 260.

WarMaiden 12-08-2008 12:24 PM

Mine says 270 but I probably weighed around 280, but I also probably didn't know the exact number.

I'm really happy to be 30+ pounds under that now. I'm due to get my license renewed next fall and I plan to be a much smaller number (probably around 170), AND I am DEFINITELY getting a new picture because the current one is horrifying.

JulieJ08 12-08-2008 12:25 PM

Mine says 160. And yes, I was fudging at the time.

Ija 12-08-2008 12:42 PM

Mine (which I got when I was 285+ pounds) says 210. I'm now 25 pounds under that!

Nixie 12-08-2008 12:44 PM

Mine says 135...I probably weighed about 160 at the time. I haven't changed it since I was 16!

I actually got carded for cigarettes (I know...bad!) a couple of years ago and the guy said "Your picture makes you look a lot thinner!" Jerk.

junebug41 12-08-2008 12:45 PM

Mine says 170. From the time I actually got my license at 16 until I lost weight at 22, I don't think my weight was ever within 20 pounds of 170.

kelly315 12-08-2008 12:46 PM

nixie- wow, that's harsh

PhotoChick 12-08-2008 12:54 PM

I had to look.

Mine says 195. At the time my most recent photo was taken I was around 240, so obviously, not at all correct. :)

One of the things I'm planning on next year though, is getting a new license with my CORRECT weight and a new photo. It's amazing how different I look from my current one.

.

luvja 12-08-2008 01:04 PM

Thank God ours don't have our weight on it!! Wow!

It does seem kind of silly, doesn't it?

I've never had a cop/bouncer question my identity and you can definitely see a difference in my DL pic and how I look now, so I don't think the weight really matters. I would doubt that cops even look at the number in most cases. That, and a lot people lie anyway.

Heh. Yeah, it was. But, I handled it maturely: called him an a--hole, grabbed my money back from his hand, threw the cigs at him and stormed out! But, the joke was on me because then I had to drive to the next town to find an open store!

rubbytummy 12-08-2008 01:14 PM

When I got mine in July, I weighed 244 but told them 200. I'm so psyched to be within a few pounds of my drivers license picture! (But my face is much leaner now than it was in the picture, obviously.)

Once I hit 140, I'm going to brave the DMV and needlessly get in line just to get a new picture and weight. It's my weight-loss reward that I'm most looking forward to.

asparagus4sale 12-08-2008 01:42 PM

Yeah we don't have to do that in Texas which I am quite grateful about. I remember one time I went to get a fishing license with a guy I had been dating for like 2 weeks. And right there in front of him, they asked me my weight - quite embarrassing!

MonteCristo 12-08-2008 02:03 PM

My license doesn't have the weight listed, but they did ask me when I got it, and I was 165. Which means that I'm at the lowest I've ever been since I was 15!

kestrel 12-08-2008 02:05 PM

Oh, mine was fudged quite a bit. :o It says 150. When I got it I was pregnant with my 2nd child and didn't want to put my pregnancy weight on there, so 150 sounded like a good number. Once I hit my goal weight, it will be true. :p

JayEll 12-08-2008 02:09 PM

Florida doesn't list weight either. Probably because it's kinda irrelevant, to say nothing of inaccurate! But I was glad when we moved to get one with a new photo. :D

Jay

kisskiss 12-08-2008 02:15 PM

mine says 205 :) even when i was 270+ . Hey I would have preferred it to say "none of you business" but the DMV pps said that wasn't an option ;)

Thin4Good 12-08-2008 02:23 PM

lol- my AL license said 150. I hadn't changed it since I was 16 and I had lied then (by about 10 pounds). I think my first Military ID said 150 or 145 but DH typed up the order this time (in September) and he refused to say that since it's a federal document and he had to sign the order saying it was true (and he knew I was not 150!) - blah...... he wanted my "real" weight. I told him I weighed 180. :sssh:

Funny thing is- I actually weigh LESS than that now!!

lumifan4ever 12-08-2008 03:25 PM

Mine is pretty accurate now. I think i had changed it to 160 and then didn't change it anymore when i got down to 134. I just didn't give it much thought anymore. But now, i'm back up to 155 so, 160 isn't that far away from the truth. But, as soon as i get down to 130, i'm putting 120 on it and leaving it!! lol.

Nikaia 12-08-2008 03:30 PM

Mine says 140; it wasn't fudged that far when I got it (at 18, I weighed 145-150lbs or so), but it's now like fifty pounds off. But I carry the weight fairly well, it's not that obvious how overweight I am anyway.

mudskippersgrl 12-08-2008 03:40 PM

When I got my renewal license I said I was 160 when really I was 210!

-liar liar pants on fire- ;)

Dianeofnka 12-08-2008 04:04 PM

Mine's said 130 since I got it at 17. I was 130 at the time and for maybe a decade after that. Not so much since.

WardHog 12-08-2008 04:15 PM

Mine says 145. It was probably accurate at the time, but I've weighed more than that. We renew ours by mail, but if you want to change anything, you have to go to the DMV. So I have had the same picture and weight stats since I got married and changed my name (9 years).

FB 12-08-2008 04:24 PM

Oh gosh, , mine has said 150 for years, YEARS and years! When I had it renewed, at my heaviest even, almost twice that weight - they never questioned the number and I certainly didn't volunteer any info. I don't think mine had ever told the truth, I got mine at age 21, and I was always ten pounds heavier than that.

I'm getting there though!

fld20 12-08-2008 04:29 PM

Mine says 160 and at the time I was major fibbing as I was pregnant and some where near 210lbs.

That's the truth! Although now I wouldn't be as embarassed. :D

CandyKisses0204 12-08-2008 05:10 PM

Mine says 190... and i think i was around 200-210

My license gets renewed in July for my 21st birthday and i so cannot wait for it to be a real, low, and healthy weight that i am not ashamed of

mandalinn82 12-08-2008 05:14 PM

Mine says 225. At the time, I was lying...by about 70 lbs! Now I'm lying again in the other direction by 60 lbs!

I should really get that updated...

ronni62 12-08-2008 07:45 PM

Mine says 230, because I was too ashamed to tell them the truth when we moved here and I weighed about 250, then 260. Now, I'm finally lower than my license says and I rejoiced the day I was finally lower than the license says! When it's time for me to renew in a couple years I plan to be to goal, but now IA doesn't put the weight on the licenses-go figure.:p

CrabbyCakes 12-08-2008 08:22 PM

180 here... thats my story and I'm stickin to it.. except here, hehe

 that was great!!!!

mine says 140. I haven't been 140 since I was a teenager. But I'm trying to get down there :D

Smiling_Sara 12-08-2008 08:32 PM

I got my lic at 17. It read 180. That wasn't correct. I don't know how much I weighed at that time....but if I had to guess, I'd say about 200lbs to 210 lbs.

Nice abs! I'd kill for 'em :)

caniwasteurtime2 12-08-2008 08:54 PM

mine says 180, and at the time it was only around 10 lbs of a fudge. since then i've yo-yo'd all over the place - up to 220, down to 175, and back to 250, now down to 230. one day it will be correct, and after that it will need to be changed because it will be too high :D

zerocool 12-08-2008 09:09 PM

185 and I was 185. My first one was 165. I 'm shooting for the middle somewhere.

flatiron 12-08-2008 09:14 PM

Virginia doesn't have weight on it. Mine is good till 2013 so I hope I am finished with my diet by then! :D

horsey 12-08-2008 09:33 PM

I was pregnant when I got my license picture! Bloated face and all! I didn't know what to say about my weight and when I wrote down what I'd "normally" weigh, say 155, the man LOOKED at me. Hey, I'm pregnant, not a FAT girl! I was a blimp...

Schumeany 12-08-2008 09:46 PM

I have been eight months pregnant in ALL three of my last three licenses...we renew every three years here, and my husband and I sort of reproduced like clockwork...our three boys' birthdays are all within three weeks of each other -- three years apart. My license says 160.

TJFitnessDiva 12-09-2008 09:09 AM

Mine says 225 and I was probably around that when I got this one switched over from having a FL one

I'm excited to be actually under instead of waaaaayyy over!!
