Good reads?

  • Does anyone have any suggestions for a good book to read, weight loss related? I just finished "Half-A$$ed" By Jennette Fulda and loved it.

    TIA
  • Just started reading Passing for Thin. Losing half my weight and finding myself.

    So far it's alright.
  • If you're into funny - Such a Pretty Fat by Jen Lancaster. SOO funny.

I also like the Fat Girls Guide to Life, by Wendy Shanker, but that was less weight loss and more loving yourself where you are.

In terms of fiction, I liked The Next Big Thing by Johanna Edwards quite a bit.
  • One of my all time favorite books that has a weight loss theme is the fiction title Jemima J by Jane Green. It is witty and has a huge twist that has led me to recommend it again and again.

    =) Crissy
  • Tales from the Scale was pretty good. It's a collection of short stories.
  • Fiction: The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things

I keep hearing girls talk about "Skinny B*tch" on my campus. It's supposed to be a good read.
  • I read "Confessions of a Carb Queen" the other week and it was very good. Her diet is not something I would follow or recommend but I liked her writing. It was very real.
  • I can't suggest anything weight loss related, but I just reread The Life of Pi by Yann Martel. It was as captivating as it was when I read it for the first time, over 3 years ago. An amazing book - it would be a lovely Xmas gift to the bookworm in your life.

I just finished reading this book and I didnt like it at all. But thats my opinion.

Thanks for all the suggestions I think I am going to go with "Tales from the Scale". I have been looking at that one for a while!
