Me too, owlmonkey. I still want my boobies, though!

I guess there is the waterbra, lol. I NEVER thought I'd have that problem. I used to complain about them "being in the way". I guess it's a classic case of "be careful what you wish for"...

Hopefully they won't get any smaller than a C!

I know how ya feel! Everything on me has gotten smaller, face, arms, thighs, ankles, fingers, and even stomach for that matter, but I STILL have this spare tire that I feel like will NEVER go away, no matter what my weight gets down to. Especially when I lay on my side, I'm like "UGH, gross! I don't feel a change at all!" But I know I've changed, the scale says it, my clothes say it, the mirror says it, and people say it...so, I'm going to give it some more time. It's just stubborn, like I was for a long time before I decided a change was needed. Old habits die hard!

Wow, it really helps to take measurements. I feel like my waist has gotten smaller, but my belly I wish would go down faster. But ... it turns out I have lost over 5.875 inches from my waist, BUT ... from my belly (measured at the belly button) I have lost over 11.375 inches! I'm flabbergasted that my belly measurement has gone down that much. Well, it's more a sign of how bad it got than how good it is now, but it is still a good reminder of progress :)

So don't just measure at your waist - measure at the belly too!

When you measure your waist, where is the best spot to take the measurement? A good friend of mine said right at the belly button, but I remember reading somewhere that it's supposed to the at the smallest part of your abdomen...so above the belly button?

When I first started the "weight loss plan" this year, I measured both my waist and my belly around its widest part.

My waist is 39", down from 45". (6 inches lost).

My stomach at its widest point is 43", down from 48". (5 inches lost).

I just need to have patience, but I want it GONE!!! :tantrum:

And I don't know if this matters, but my waist is really high, almost right under my boobs (or what's left of them).

I'm a little under my goal and I have lost pretty much all of my boobs - I bought an 'almost A' bra on clearance last week and it actually fit... :( I also still have a somewhat poochie tummy that is annoying me... I'm working on strength training, holding my tummy in during exercises, hoping that will teach it not to stick out and will build some muscle that will help me to burn off the last of the fat... :(

Me too. The difference between measuring at my waist (the narrowest part) and at my belly button used to be ~10 inches (around), now it's around 5 inches more.

I always used to read that with a small waist (which I have) you should wear belts, but they never really looked good. I finally figured out why. My waist may be small, but it's high, so there really isn't so much room (way back before rises got lower). Plus, even with a lower rise, a belt means a tucked in or bloused top - and all that did was hide the small waist I have. I look soooo much better with a closer fitting, knit top untucked. *That* is what makes everyone notice my waist.

I'm with you. I have went from a on the small side C cup to barely there B cup. I've only lost 16 pounds, but I decreased over a whole cup size! I feel like the weight I have lost has ONLY been in my chest lol and a little in the arms. I would like to lose some in the neck/face, stomach and legs. But of course, those places won't budge.

The breasts have fat tissue in them and it seems that when a woman lose weight, the upper body is the first to decrease in size. Your breasts usually goes back to your natural cup size. I know that when I gain weight, my breasts always increase their size. Doing lunges, squats as well as dancing will help to trim the your body. I also have that same problem with my pouch. I had two c-sections and mine is a big ole pouch. I measured it in August and it was 52 inches and now it is 49 1/2 inches. It is going down slowly and my size 22 pants will not drop because of it. The legs of my pants are really really baggy and I have room in my waistband. I started dancing, really working my abdominal muscles to get it going a little faster since I am not able to go to the gym. In the past when I when I was at the gym, I used the abdominal exercised machine with the weights and my pouch went down significantly.

Why does spot reduction only work on the spots we don't want to reduce? At any rate, as far as the poochie stomach- I found that yoga & pilates really helped me with that before. And I was only doing the "modified" exercises in Pilates (the for wimps poses :))

I learned to do the smallest part of the waist (when I worked at Curves). I think the main thing is to be consistent and always measure the same spot so that you are getting accurate results.

No matter what weight I am I have a fairly "balanced" figure, albeit with a big butt. When I lose any significant amount of weight I become bottom heavy for a period of time.

A dietician once told me this is a normal weight loss pattern. Many women tend to lose disproportionately from the top down. When you stop losing your body "rebalances" the remaining fat. It is not uncommon three or four months into maintenance for your top to "refill" a bit, and your pants size to go down. (I am curious, have you maintainers here experienced that?) It always made sense to me, and I remember a couple of times watching folks who were losing seem really bottom heavy, almost triangular, and then evening out.

I hope that is true...I'm definitely bottom heavy and about two sizes larger on the bottom than on top at the moment.

Now, if my arms would shrink a bit faster so that I can lose the roll in them, then I'd be really happy.

I can definitely relate to you on the arms. I have, as I call it, chicken fat. It's that part underneath my arms by my armpit that just hangs down as I lift my arms up. If I put my arms parallel to the floor it just jiggles. LOL. It's the main reason I won't wear tank tops.
