Boy, it looks like that was quite a storm. what a way to stay faithful through it.

I want to join!

I am running an "official" Turkey Trot 5K this Friday but I'm sure I'll run it again closer to Thanksgiving!

I think that makes me an Early Bird, Semi-Elite, Neighbors Are Talking (oh yeah they are!), participant.

Any number is fine!!- Thank you!

You are in EMILY

WOW! RUTH glad you stayed safe!

Primm 11-18-2008 08:47 PM

Thanks. Some places still don't have power back on, including my son's school (which he's not too upset about, by the way! They're still cutting up trees there so it's closed until tomorrow).

I'm totally over the news helicopters hovering overhead though. How do I (nicely) tell them to eff off and let us get our lives back together? :(

Nancy7189 11-18-2008 10:50 PM

I did my very first 5k today. I did it in 42min 51 sec. I have no idea if that is a good time:) I hope to do better for the trot!

Ruth I am glad you are safe!

Count me in - I'm trying to hit 500 miles before Christmas and can use all the motivation possible!

Primm 11-20-2008 01:46 AM

Another storm last night, lots of flooding.

And now - it's raining AGAIN! I'm so totally over it. I had to work last night and we had water coming through the roof. Of a brand new (opened in July this year) hospital. Onto babies in the Intensive Care nursery. Ceiling tiles collapsing, electrical equipment shorting out - it was lots of fun (not!!)

If I don't get around to my run this weekend you'll all understand, right? I will do it, just maybe in a week or so when the ground isn't so squelchy underfoot.

Gary, I noticed I got my #13 back.
You are a darlin'!

jenguin 11-20-2008 09:42 PM

Ruth - just try to stay safe first and foremost!

caniwasteurtime2 11-20-2008 09:54 PM

put me down for any number - i'll be in the "me and my machine" category, as here in WI it's gotten pretty darn cold to be out and about :) i'll hit the gym for this one ;)

Hi

Is it too late to sign-up? I have been training but thought that I might not make it to 5K by Thanksgiving but now I am feeling confident.

Whatever number and I am virgin. :o

EZMONEY 11-22-2008 03:39 PM

EVERYBODY IS IN...GOOD LUCK!

Angie and I did 3 today...we will be ready!

modcat44 11-23-2008 01:22 AM

OK, just read what I'd hoped to do--under 37 minutes. Well, even though it's not official yet, I did one today on tm and was under 36 minutes!! Just barely, but there! 35 min., 55 seconds. Next week-end, we'll see if I can do even better! Bring on the stuffing! (just a little, please!)

EZMONEY 11-24-2008 06:09 PM

Weather report here for our southern California Turkey Trot is sunny...with rain on either side of Thanksgiving....hope they are right!

Are you ready?....race in 3 days!

kelly315 11-24-2008 06:20 PM

Is it too late to sign up for this? I want to try to get out there.
